Diablo III |OT2| Queues Rise. Servers Fall.

They obviously werent working on this for that long. It feels like it got 2 years of focused development maximum. To be honest, I'd bet my right hand, if the game wasn't named Diablo and didn't come from Blizzard, no one would be talking about it, because the qualiy of the game just isn't something to write home about.

Talk about hyperboles.
What is it with people rubbing off on getting insanely "either 100% or 0%" on Blizzard games?

What was the problem and why do they have to fix it now as opposed to something like 4 am tomorrow morning? All my friends seemed to be able to play the game just fine until they took down the servers.

Personally all my achievements was gone when I logged in today, kept getting errors about it in the middle of games. And I'm sure that when they take down the servers at a time like this, it's because there's a good reason for it. I doubt they're oblivious to the fact that it's peak time atm.

I don't get it. I thought they had a long beta for the game. Why are these problems even taking place? Were they just testing the sever loads and not other systems maybe?

I don't think it's hyberbole. Only a fraction of gamers would notice this game and most of them would never pay 60 bucks for it. Never. Just look at Torchlight II, most people are waiting for a pricedrop there and it's onl 17,99€.

Well Diablo III is the best Diablo game, and if it wasn't a Diablo game it would be better than all the Diablos.

I took the attrition approach to Hell mode HE WHO IS NAMED ON THE FRONT OF THE BOX
Diablo
. Went well enough, I could pretty much just stand there and eat hits from him npnp, just can't get hit by cage/laser of destiny and you're good.

Try nightmare, it's way more fun than normal.

Surely the game should be fun for the first 13 hours. Not the subsequent play through after that? Still I have no interest in playing a Monk again so I won't be doing nightmare any time soon. I used three skills on a regular basis the rest were passives or incredibly situational.

A lot of people say the game starts on Nightmare. Normal is decent but it really gets way better afterwards. You haven't even unlocked all the skill variations for your Monk and your giving the class up?

But you said it was fun. It's just that most of the hardcore Diablo fans are raving about the higher difficulties when they're raving about Diablo.

So you are now contemplating about whether to actually START the real game after the tutorial?

I appreciate the argument that normal mode is too easy, because really it is. It was absolutely face roll the whole way thru. Nightmare really isn't even that much worse. I only started running into trouble with bosses in Hell, and that was generally solved by stacking more vit/resists. The harder part and the stuff to which I died far more often were rare spawns that had absolutely asinine combinations of skills (lololol waller/arcane/desecrator), which gets even more trolltastic in Inferno. Some of those rare spawns are fucking infuriating.

In other words, nothing that couldn't have waited 10-12 hours. And especially nothing worth keeping me from playing the single player for.

Can I play through nightmare "quest wise" with other people (so that I unlock hell as soon as all quests are done) or do I need to got through the whole game in order from start to finish?

I normally understand and abide by game developer intents and decisions, but this always online strategy in DIII has been a total joke and an utter failure.

If I ever get disconnected during an important moment in-game I might just go apeshit on a videogame, which I haven't done since teenage.

I'd rather they fix an issue that really annoys me, and keeps getting me killed (error pops into the screen and I need to close it before being able to move around again) while doing a champion pack on inferno, than just ignore it for 10-12 hours. And chances are there's more to it than just some achievement errors. But no, it's more likely they are make all of europe unable to play just to fucking annoy us.

I don't get why health potions have a cooldown timer. :X

Yeah it makes no sense to me either, I mean is it supposed to be like "oh well they really fill you up so you physically can't drink another one for like 30 seconds" or some shit? it's just lame.

Also, if my follower has a goddamn heal spell, why the hell doesn't he use it to heal me??

I expected more from Hell difficulty tbh, i play DH and if i just pay attention and do my thing i can finish everything quiet easily...

Also some items are a bit broken, i just stacked up +dmg stuff and i churn out between 10 and 20k dps...

I'm always very understanding that problems occur and shit happens. I didn't say a word about the game launch or the problems that came with it but not able to play on a sunday which is pretty much my only "play as much as you want" day is bullshit.

Well, there is ~20hours down the drain. My With Doctor was defaulted to an EU server even though I'm in Canada. Got to start over from scratch again.

beacuse they work like purple ones in diablo 2, instant heal (it's terribad design) and you can't spam them.

After playing Path of Exile I can't get used to D3 potion system. Such awasome system in PoE is direct evolution of D2 ones where D3 is MMO like one.

Skills are also done this way. In D2 you could do anything you want in D3 you have few skills only at any time.

Damn servers. There's been problems every day this week. Random disconnects, lag, server maintenance, queues, auction house not working, achievements screwed up. It really is diminishing my fondness for this game.

Wouldn't be so bad if I was grouped. But I haven't even touched the multiplayer aspect of D3, yet I'm constantly hampered by it. What the fuck.

Good morning GAF!

'tis a shitty start of the day, GAF was down, EU D3 is down (color me surprised) :(

Aw fuck, is there any way to disable drag and drop skill organization?

I accidentally just threw away my 5 stack nephalem valor due to clicking too much on the lower part of the screen and dragging a skill away.

Finally got my hands on the Book of Cain :D!

WOW, this sucks! It works on WoW... should be an option to disable that in D3!

Huh? Ask support to revert it?

It was. It just became a breeze though and I found myself distracted. Maybe they should have followed Torchlight II's example of offering a choice of difficulty at the start of the game. :(

Not sure if this is sarcasm or not. This thread. Jesus christ. :/
