Nope.
Some of them are a bit special, but yes especially pre-lvl 60 legendaries are very rarely anything great.

Zero in ~70 hours on my witch doctor. Most of the time is co-op with my brother who has yet to find a legendary as well.

Don't even know what colour a unique is! Been hoping to find one (too proud to buy it via AH, kind of defeats the point for me).
The LEAST they can do is come with with a decent compensation for those who spent their hard earned cash on their game and can't play in the spare free time they have. After tonight, it will again be another WEEK before I'll get some time to play the game. If the servers aren't down next weekend, that is.

Read it, hasn't changed my mind. They are owned by Acitivision, they have huge influence over the company, if they choose to let them do their own thing because they're highly profitable isn't relevant to the option of control.
No they're not. Vivendi owns them both, or at least have a controling stake in the Acti-Bliz company. They control the board of Activision-Blizzard with 3-4 board positions, including the Chairmanship.

Rares significantly better than any legendary get RNG'd into the game. Massive swathes of useless stats/stat combinations that no one would ever want get dropped. Level 55 blues getting dropped for me in inferno. Loot so far has been a massive lottery of useless shit. I think in the 51 hours that I've played I've picked up less than 5 items that I actually could put to use.
So basically you're relegated to farming gold so you can get another piece of gear off the AH since getting anything useful to drop is literally playing the lottery.

Yeah I feel like this will be the case usually. The AH pretty much makes random drops not as much important as the hoarding of gold to pay for other people's random drops.

Get DarkD3 at http://darkd3.com/, I use the Lesser option and it's a massive improvement. Elective mode and advanced tool tips are a must, Blizzard really dropped the ball having them off by default (or even existing). It's a good idea to turn enemy health bars, player health bars and other in-game information on that is off by default. Also make sure that your region is correct in the options, or you might have to restart your character on your correct region.
I've found plenty of great stuff in inferno and I'm not sure what that image is supposed to prove. RNGed items should always have higher potential and I'm sure there are some legendaries that have the potential to be extremely good.Yes.

Well this is fucking great... :/
I have been playing on my Mac for the past 4 days with no problems, FPS was fine and everything. Now today I attempt to login and my FPS has dropped to like 5. I tweaked around with the settings every which way, nothing works...well going too 800x600 res seems to bring it up to a modest 20 fps.
Hell, I even bootcamped to my PC side and installed it there, same fucking issue.
So I dunno what the hell the problem is, but now I can't play.
This happen to anyone else?

That's how D2 was though. The only difference in D3 is uniques have random stats on them instead of just a varying range on stats, which makes the uniques a lot less appealing in D3. Also getting crappy loot should be happening, and I'm surprised it isn't more often. If I had a dollar for every time hell meph dropped a level 20 or lower item I'd be a billionaire. Hell, if I had a dollar for every time hell meph didn't even drop any loot I'd still have around 20 dollars. Thus far all of the loot in D3 has just been randomized things that are level appropriate for the content that it dropped from.
