i'm having that problem where a public game will only allow 2 players.

i could get 3 and 4 player parties in 'normal', but since starting 'nightmare' i only ever get matched with 1 other player.

and i know its not because of a lack of players, because if that 1 player was to leave the game, another will immediately join.

sucks hard, and its ruining the game. especially since i'm using a sorc, and it'd be nice to have a couple of tanks in the game so i can stay at a distance without getting overwhelmed by enemies charging at me.

havent been using the AH at all

I'd start doing so. Didn't touch it during Normal, but it's been great in NM so far. If you've got like 30k siting around, get yourself a nice weapon with some decent stats. You'll likely lose out on some of that crazy int you have, but it'll more than make up for it in weapon damage

A lot of things will cost way too much, just keep browsing and browsing until you find something good at a half decent price

Do not worry, between jailer/vortex/waller/fast/teleporter keywords, you will have to stop living that dream and embrace your aoe stuns instead :D

The bug is still bad though, good luck getting it fixed asap.

The account robbing is apparently rampant right now in the US servers and creeping into the EU servers. There is even a few instances of account robbing of people that supposedly had the authenticator on their account.

I don't believe a word of it. Why would someone go through all the trouble of 'hacking' a Diablo 3 account that isn't worth anything? You're rushing to conclusions. 'Rampant'? Really? Spreading paranoia much?

I believe most of these 'hacking' reports are glitches that will be restored/fixed or simply users that are very confused.

To be specific, use the buyout price limit when searching. You will get a lot of good deals when limiting your buyout price while still searching for your desired stats. I'm using it on Normal (because this series is pretty much trash on normal as it is and I want to move forward to NM) and limiting my buyout to 2k I had no problem finding great rares still in any slot. I have like 1k DPS in act 3, haha.

Well check the forms. Like I said, I hope it is just me and not a problem. I know there is one glitch out right now that switches your server so people think they lost everything. I double checked that but alas I am on the right one.

I got offered a account a limited account restoration and I took it. Just waiting for them to do it.

Can someone explain how its even possible to hack an account with an authenticator? They have to hack the authenticator aswell then right?
Maybe its true but it does seem really strange to me.

My theory on that one is that they probably dont have it fully set up (the option to validate on every time you sign in)

30k is waaaaaaay to much to spend on anything in Nightmare.

15k max. never a dime more.

I had to play catchup on a WD on A different server so I searched out all gear with INT, STR, and "experience per kill" stat. Really helped me skip exploring on normal and just mow on through. Sometimes I replaced STR with "has socket" since gems don't seem to have a min level to use. Add about 20 damage to your weapons and over 30 int to items?...yes please!

and how are people getting there accounts robbed so easy.......

With a high Gold Find, attaining massive gold becomes such a trivial issue that shelling out that sort of money becomes fairly insignificant. I haven't, personally, but 30k eventually becomes basically nothing.

What's the consensus on DH for weapons? Is it better to go Dual Cross bows or a 2H crossbow with a quiver?

I have had zero luck in finding two 1h crossbows good enough to compare to a 2h crossbow. For a couple levels a 1h crossbow + quiver was my highest DPS setup but only because I was too low level to use the next tier of 2h crossbows.

It's funny because I never really liked 2h crossbows in D2 on my amazons compared to bow but I adore them in this game.

Should I be spending on GF gems then? I don't know what I should be spending my gold on right now...

Latency is making this unplayable for me right now. 400-500+ ping, rubberbanding all over the place and skills taking a couple seconds to go off.

Any other Cox users having issues?

Just finished the game on nomral with lvl 31 wizard, during Act 4 I managed to get her up to 300 dmge with gems, they buff a lot.

As for my opinion on the game overall, I enjoyed it a lot. I don't understand the bashing on the story/writing however, it isn't awesome but it isn't horrid either, id put it at decent at the least. It left me more satisfied that ME3 did that's for sure.

yeah, it does make a difference
i bought a random wand and it doubled my dmg. Now i do 1k sweet

I'm not on cox, but I've died today in single player multiple times due to latency issues.... such a stupid move by blizz... but I suppose it doesn't matter because everyone bought it anyway.

Anyone else having problems with performance drops in multiplayer when shit hits the pan?

Hm...so I guess the game is running perfect for everybody? I now switched off Ambient Occlusion which makes the game look better a lot, however takes of about 25% performance. That's still 60 for me under circumstances but with 4 players and a lot of shit going on it drops to 30. God knows why, this game sould run at 400FPS on my system...Blizzard should hire new tech guys TODAY. And then patch it.

Don't forget shields.

Also 1h with quiver works just as well.

You should really try out a shield. You can feel the difference against bosses just as against big packs of normal mobs.

I'm playing the demo version and it's unplayable right now due to latency. I'm at the part where you're looking for the crown in the crypts and I'll clear out a crypt or two and then get disconnected and have to do it again. Does it always make it so you find the crown on the 3rd crypt? In the beta version 1 crypt was empty, one crypt had the side quest and then the one crypt had the crown and I thought it was random.

Depends on what you want to do. Gold Find and Magic Find are what I concentrated money on because that's the way I like to play. There's also the stash to max out if you haven't, and the blacksmith probably becomes pretty decent eventually.

I've mentioned it, but some authenticator accounts did get hacked this way shortly after Wrath came out.

Yup. It happens. Most of the time they don't bother because there are other unauthenticated accounts to hack (and it's all about personal profits to these hackers), but you *CAN* get hacked with an Authenticator if you're exceptionally lazy on your system. Even just using Microsoft Security Essentials and being safe on what you click on can help.

Nah, I had it where I found it in the first crypt and had to go back and look through the other on my own.

Quick question: do + attack speed % bonuses on items stack, or is it just the highest bonus that takes effect at one time?

just because you can pay more doesn't mean you should. why pay 2x as much for the same specs/items?

I have 400k in the bank and I'll be damned if I pay more than 15k for anything. that position is presenting no problems at all. I'm sure that gold will come in handy for something. but right now, wasting it on overpriced items is silly. time is still money.

Anybody know what the deal is with Venom Hydra? Can the pools stack on the same target? How does it stack up to Lightning Hydra vs stationary/moving single targets?

Omg shields. Shields sssssss. So much less damage. I have 45% reduced damage from enemies and 35% chance to block.

Also, holy crap. I stumbled on a vendor selling gloves with 217 armor, 110 Int, and 13% attack speed and bought a few. I put one up on the auction house to test the waters and it was bought out for 200k. Made a nice 2700% profit.

I know what the game says the skill does. I'm wondering how it stacks up in real play. The Hydra descriptions are all a little misleading because for most of them each head is firing separately, so Lightning Hydra ends up doing ~100% of your DPS to a single target. Venom Hydra leaves these little acid pools. I'm mainly wondering if those stack. Would a Venom Hydra totally outclass the Lightning Hydra vs the Act 2 boss, for example?

Today I wanted to change things up a bit, playing a wizard and was getting kinda of bored of the cast blizz and kite method that I was using forever it seems. So I switched it up to a melee build and having a blast. I started using it at the end of ACT2 NM and about half way though ACT3 NM.

Having a lot of fun with it so far. I was thinking maybe switching out the twisters for frost nova or meteor? you guys have any thoughts?

Well, obviously be vigilant in your auction purchasing. I always check for the absolute lowest price for any given item. But if there's something nice there you've spotted that you really like and there's no alternative, and you can afford it for what is to you a fairly trivial amount, go for it. 30k is relatively tiny, individual items sold at 200k+ is when it starts becoming truly amusing, and people still buy those.

If it takes you time to build up funds because your GF is low or you don't have decent items to sell or whatever, then you should go another route. But if you build money up easily it doesn't matter as much. With a high Gold Find you amass a hilarious amount of funds in short order.
