Dude, if you want to post spoilers *that bad* just thumbnail the pics with a warning. 3-6 is still dickish.
It wasn't me posting spoilers, though I don't care about spoilers at all in any game (games are about the journey not some stills from a video game). I've always come in here figuring that people would post spoilers.

That being said, I know others are sensitive about spoilers so there should be some sort of buffer for them. I suggested 3-6 months because that's usually typical for gaf (6+) for spoilers.

Can we go for like, 3-6 months since release? Most people will have played whatever game is released since then.

What do you base this assumption on? Personally, most of the games I play are over 6 months old.

I think people should just try to stay away from posting screens that are too spoilerish, be it screens from new or old games.

The Dof in Batman is implemented really well. I just played through it on PC maxed out and it's definitely one of the best looking games out there right now. It's awesome that it's such an amazing game too, truly showing that single-player games can sell well. I wish there were more Cat Woman sections, they were tonnes of fun. I hope Rocksteady is working on a next-gen game now.

Can't wait for Harley's Revenge.

How do you get the wulfen textures pack to work, for the life me I cant figure it out.
you move the files test.vfp and interaction.vfp into the glprogs folder in sikkmod directory. This is ofcourse after you add the folders "parallax occlusion mapping" "models" and "textures" from the wulf mod to the sikk mod folder. If you have any trouble send me a pm and I'll do a detailed guide for you.

Daaaaamn, I remember that game looking so much better.

Nostalgia goggles are worse than beer goggles.

it looked amazing when it came out but yes indeed nostalgia goggles are a bitch, trying my best to get it looking the best it can atm but a lot of stuff like AA and AF are glitchy when forced in this game

Sorry to use the topic for informative purposes. I saw some really nice Human Revolution scrrenshots, so i asked in the OT what mods are available for the game, the topic is a bit slow this days so i'll try my luck here.

Suposedly there's an inventory mod and an end filter remover. Im interested in the orange hue remover, so how performance intensive it is and does it work for AMD cards?

Thanks for the time.

Edit: To the man with the knee shaking DOOM shots, anyway to get comparison shots of the vanilla version? Will be SO nice to see the differences. What exactly is the mod doing, applying new filters and effects or does it also introduce new assets?

holy jesus dat doom 3

The mod does a wholllllleeeee lot. It adds soft shadows, selfshadowing, a million types of AO (global illumination even), flares (many different types: horizontal +spectral are the best), HDR, vignetting, dynamic depth of field based upon distance (bokeh, gaussian, box), and motionblur. It also has color grading and some game effects. I combined it with a texture mod that adds POM plus better texture quality over all.

The mod looks great in screens, but it is best seen in motion to see how the dynamic effects look and interact. It is pretty amazing to see what a game from 2004 can look like today (also a bit depressing to see how little PC gaming has advanced to a certain degree). But yeah.

Here are some comparison shots that I just made from the above ones.

More comparisons:
I really recommend though seeing it in motion. When the lights move and the shadows change along with the dynamic lighting and flare effects (plus new particles). It is just intense.

It must be better in motion, because in screenshots, it looks like Doom 3 + Next Gen Blur

That is just my preference, one can easily turn it off or just have it apply differently. I like aggressive depth of field that interacts with the view model. The other stuff (ao, soft shadows, hdr, GI, POM, flares, sunshafts, bokeh) are very much so "next-gen," but not necessarily "over-done bloom and blur next-gen."

I hate DOF so I would turn that off, but everything else there is good stuff. Though, I am one of the weirdos who likes motion blur like in FEAR2.

... those pictures make me so sad. We should be so much farther along almost 8 years later.
But Doom 3 was miracle work back then. Be a bit hyped for Doom 4 because Rage was apparently a cheap tech demo compared to what it will have going on.

hoping it will be like last time, doom 3 and hl2 both coming out and setting the benchmark high as fuck

Is it asking too much for exact instructions on how to make the game look like that? WHere to download the mods, which settings did you tweaked, enabled, etc?

Happily! Just send me a PM. That goes for anyone that wants instructions. Plus, I can provide my exact config (which is different than the default included with the mod).
