Inferno isn't too bad. Hell felt worst because gear wasn't as good.

I can solo inferno champions and rares quite well with some lucky gear pickups.

DH with Smoke Screen and Preparation is pretty much god mode.

My DH is coming along super slowly.

Im getting there, but damn. Is anyone else having trouble finding games for Inferno Acts? There are nearly no people in games. Single digits even. Playing solo is boring.

Happens to every Demon Hunter almost, especially if you arent an AH user.

Normal = "Herpadity derpity dooooO!"

Nightmare = "Why am I being two shot?"

Time for vitality items mate :D

This was me five minutes ago:

"Well, I solo'd the
Spider Queen
on Inferno with my DH, and now I clearly need +vita and +dex items. Let's go to the auction house."

"Sort by...Vita, Dex, *Click*"

"FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

There are no affordable Vita/Dex items that I can find. Not at the Inferno level anyway. Did you farm all of your stuff?

Total newb to PC gaming.

Bought a video card and psu today, along with Diablo.

Hasn't exactly been the smoothest ride thus far but I'm making progress.

Diablo has been installing for roughly 20 min now and I'm at 6%.

Ideas?

edit: installing from DVD

Mine went way faster, but I had the download data on my SSD and installed it to my SSD.

It'll probably just take a while with all the decompression is all. Relax, and just hang in there.

You could just have a slow DVD drive with a low speed rating. Other than that, I'm not sure. Just give it time.

Prizes are actually good though - a CE signed by the dev team, and just straight CE CD-keys.

That thread is closed. Watch as how nothing changes for 6 months. :|

I've never seen the argument that "prices will go UP once x, y, and z happens, we just have to give it time" work in these kinds of economies. The prices are already low with just a low influx of items, that's destined to continue to go down, not up. The fact that you will only twink up to 4 other classes (since there are no tree differences in your class, causing you to never want to start more than one) means those items aren't going anywhere.

Maybe that crafter who's trying to craft something won't bother, but what percentage of people are going to craft instead of just AHing their items?

Blizzard would have to come in and make sweeping changes to change the direction the economy is already headed.

What about the fact that players are only ever to put up 10 items for auction at a time for their entire account?

When 75% of the players are level 60 and working through Inferno less and less people are going to be putting low level items up. You might think level 60 players playing alts... but their Auction queue will be full with rares from Inferno, you know, when people aren't leveling up 5 times a night and constantly upgrading - then items might actually sit on the AH for a day or two entangled in bidding wars.

Selling a level 39 rare for 15k gold won't be as intriguing when items cost 7 million and people won't be willing to lose their precious slot for putting up their item that sells for 800k gold. In turn less low level items on the AH, which means less competition for those players with low-level characters on their accounts.

Int and +DMG. That DPS is pretty anemic for having completed normal. Geared right, people should be reaching that by about level 20.

I was focusing more on Vitality than anything. I'm at level 32 now and doing 350 or so, which I'm sure is still low, but my items just aren't doing it, and plenty of them boost intelligence quite a bit.

I'm lonely and public games are terrible. My highest level character is a 41 Witch Doctor. Please add me GAF.

You aren't supposed to get any more rares off bosses.

Bosses are only guaranteed to drop rares on the first time you beat them. After that it's all crap blues.

Are we sure that this is true beyond the first kill period (as opposed to the first kill ona new difficulty level). Because otherwise, it's pointless to kill Inferno bosses more than once.

Someone help me make a decision. So I'm playing Wizard right? well I found a pretty good ring, but it's the opposite of the one I'm wearing now:

+109 Intelligence
+50 Vitality
@ 30,012 Maximum Life / 5742.89 Damage

-or-

+42 Intelligence
+103 Vitality
@ 28,616 Maximum Life / 6040.24 Damage
?

Would you trade 1300HP for 300 damage? Is that ever the right play?

I remember reading that you'd get rares on the first kill for each difficulty. It makes no sense to only do this in Normal but here we are!

That's actually a very very good point. It's a bit too early to come to knee-jerk conclusions about the AH, everything is still in flux, especially the first week after launch is like no other time in the game's life cycle.

I do think that the trend you describe will eventually lead to a glut of top heavy items, but that's when ladder resets come in to refresh the life cycle.

I can't afford the items I need to make my character Inferno viable now. I don't even want to think about what happens when the RMAH comes out. I'm not spending money on it, so I may just be pushed out of competition, for PVP even (which really burns me).

Farming has proven unsuccessful thus far.

Crafting seems so useless with AH. It honestly feels like I'm cheating using AH

I have two primary builds in the game:

I'm building my Wizard to be a god. I search AH everyday to find better items to equip him with. He's who I use to blow off steam in the game, spamming Hydra, shock pulse and disintegrate with glee. NO ONE CAN STOP ME FOR I AM ABOVE ALL ANGELS AND DEMONS.

And then I have my Demon Hunter. I use him for coop with my friends. I rely on drops for him, and the occasional passed down items from my Wizard as long as it doesn't break the game. Also share some of the good items with my friends, and it's fun since we make sure all of us are at the same playing field.

So the best of both worlds for me. The game can get pretty stressful on coop at a higher difficulty so having one to vent all your frustration with helps.

Yep just killed act III's last boss on Nightmare and still no yellows. Guess bosses will be a one time deal only.

Is the AH borked for everyone else? I struggled to upgrade my gear, and now that I'm trying to get some new gems, I can't seem to get anything to purchase.

To fellow wizards:

My friend just told me about this inferno build that uses alot of armor and energy armor with force armor in order to reduce damage to 35% and then offset that damage with incredible regen. Thoughts?

yes it's well known now and the build some wizards solo'd inferno with.
basically makes you invincible except for vs. DoTs by abusing a skill combo. Blizzard will nerf this

Wep dmg scales up super high.

I just sold a 850dps bow

;_; Should have let me borrow it for a while first. The 500 DPS crossbow I gushed over when I hit 60 in hell is now a slow, awful piece of junk in Inferno. If I sell it my vita goes back to sub 10k though (I think I'm at 12k right now. Glass cannon all the way). I can afford to upgrade to higher DPS, but not higher DPS + Vita. I don't know where people are getting the gold for these multi-million gold items in the AH.

Even with an 850dps bow, you can't get it that high though, can you? That's just 100% crit damage inflating the DPS stat.

looking at the BK more that is just a fucking disgrace
I think you can actually roll a rare ring with those exact stats, except maybe the each hit adds to life I'm not sure but whatever. Fucking uniques are just like rares. All the same mods. Imagine if D2 was like this, it wouldn't have lasted anywhere near a decade. Most uniques need to have UNIQUE modifiers that can't be found on rares. Maybe that's why they call them legendaries now as theyre just random rares in a different text color. What a joke.

A generic 800dps xbow with 100 vit and 100 dex should be like 400k tops.

Gold comes from farming inferno uniques, getting them to 5% hp, then dropping in 2-3 people with 200% mf. Or lower level people running Act 1 crap in mf gear.

I wish it could just be "patched" but it's going to take a massive overhaul of the entire item system. Just not gonna happen till expansion, if that. They would have to change all the uniques.

Yup. BK is only BK in name not item. SAme with SOJ and most of the other uniques.

pretty sad that BK is now some shitty +random stats ring compared to the glorious +1 all skills from d2. Same deal with every other unique in the game
I'm still pissed about this.

It is as if Blizzard just made uniques to make us nostalgia real hard and didn't actually make the items useful.

Fuck you Blizzard. BK deserves better.

played coop for the first time. jumped into some games in my friend list. lotsa fun and i seem to get way more gold in them.

Itemization kinda sucks but it's something that'll get patched sooner or later. Problem is, it'll probably be later.
If Starcraft 2 is any indication there won't be many major tweaks and you'll just have to buy the expansion.
