PS Vita general advice thread, part 3 | Veni, vidi, Vita

There was an interview before the Vita came out where someone at Sony said that they'd be matching pricing to consumer response. Where if they found people weren't willing to pay £30+ for games, they're adjust their model to bring them closer to app-store prices, or something.

I wish I could find it now.

I want to confirm if it's officially a price cut or not but don't want to ask in case Sony actually screwed up XD

Yeah, wouldn't be a first. Everybody's Golf at that price is an incredible bargain though. Such a damn good game. Difficulty spikes up pretty dramatically later on in the game but there's so much to do that you should be able to get dozens of hours of fun out of the game before worrying about that stuff. The daily tournament stuff is so well implemented too. You can jump straight to them from the LiveArea and not worry about bullshit splash screens or anything.

Someone should raid namco and 'make' them localize Digimon. The new game looks great!

And I hope those UK sales happen everywhere else as well. Will really help push digital sales

Splash screens feel that much more annoying on a portable device. Should be skippable in every game.

Everybody's Golf, ModNation Racers, and Reality Fighters are £11.99 on UK PSN now.

Fuck yeah! I already own the titles I want from that selection but this is a great precedent for sales pricing.

At £11.99, there are a lot of titles that I'd impulse buy that I'd never buy at £30.

Couldn't agree more. If this keeps up I'll have no choice but to buy a 32GB card. You hear me Sony?

Tried to buy EG and Modnation but I always got an error so it seems those deals are just a mistake.

Bought EG like five seconds ago, all worked fine. Downloading now.

It's nice to see how buying something from Vita store is much easier than it is on PS3; you don't have to go past half a dozen windows and popups before stating to download a game, you just need to confirm once and you're good to go.

PS3:
- Buy
- Confirm
- "Not enough money in your wallet lolol, do you want to add some?"
- Yes
- "Please wait"
- "Founds added to your wallet"
- Confirm purchase
- "Please wait"
- Download

Vita:
- Buy
- Confirm
- Download

They need to dump the stupid Wallet system.

:lol

Yes, and also the 5 euros/dollars minimum, at least on Vita store (between minis and little games and DLCs like Table Top, Frobisher, etc. is a dumb move to have that restriction)

Edit: Nevermind. Looks like it does have search functionality...it's just weird.

The PS3 is not like that with the "Buy Now" option or whatever it's called.

Just picked up Mutant Blobs. Love it already.

Yesh ! Mission Accomplished.

Next time you see a great game, you tell me. ^_^

The only genre I don't like is horror. I bet scary games won't deliver well on Vita. Screen may be too small, and audio too soft (Muahahaha).

I don't know, apparently Corpse Party is quite nice on the Vita. Can't think of anything else, though. Yet.

The wallet system isn't the problem it's how it's being used for the PS3 that's a problem. You look at stuff like the iTunes store and Steam to see how a wallet's better handled.

... And the comic's out of date, it really was rancid at that point in time (bought Tekken on my brother's PS3), but nowadays the store's respectable. Maybe not THE best, but in ways I prefer it to the XBLM, though that has the giant advantage of letting me get stuff on my PC and pass on using the console entirely for purchasing.
neither. visual novel
Yet even that isn't fully accurate. Wyrdwad likened it to an RPG without battles, which is most apt. If you like visual novels though or are intrigued by them you may like this, or if you would prefer something more along the lines of JRPG visuals/controls instead of just reading and menu based everything.

Not at all, where is the advertisement? Why i need to get this information from gaf instead of from the playstation blog?

Even then, they won't 'get it' until I can go from GAF to sonystore.com or whatever, and click buy.

Not mine, but I'm very close.

Need Folder FW for E3.

Also, I some of the SNK minis were broken for Vita even though they were on the Vita storefront.
Got that fixed. :P

By the way, the SNK minis look UNBELIEVABLE on Vita. Very good.

You're off the hook. ^_^

I'm curious mainly because people can't seem to agree on its genre. That and the high score.

its a good game and is classified as adventure/horror like said above. I consider it more visual novel but thats me XD.

youll enjoy it its a nice game and worth the asking price

:'D

It's supposed to be pretty cool. Just make sure that you're rolling saves and playing with headphones on. Game has great audio and the blacks look excellent on the Vita screen.

I can assure you corpse party plays perfect for vita.

PSP version had nasty ghosting issue (due to slow ass LCD screen) that hurt my eyes so bad, I couldn't enjoy the game at all.
