Overawe for more damage. I have sub 10k DPS with my current gear because it's incomplete which is why I'm boosting with skills.

It's decent. Check the prices on them on the AH and sell accordingly.

Resistances are actually pretty huge in inferno, especially on monks and barbs. Vit/Primary stat/all resistance gear is the nuts.

Cold resistance is REALLY good in the current state of the game. I mean, how many times do you encounter mobs that do anything remotely resembling freezing damage on a regular basis?! :p

The only thing more stupid than their itemization is resistances. I thought they learned from World of Warcraft just HOW stupid they are? Guess not.

It works surprisingly well against some Blue/yellow elites as well though Vortex is annoying and if an Arcane Sentry is put in a bad place, it can be annoying. When you put down a Sanctuary, you gotta make sure to hold shift to stay in place and use the deadly reach to hit otherwise there's not as much point in having it unless you drop it in a doorway.

Uhh, what? How are resistances useless? They give a huge damage reduction against same-level enemies. I can understand not wanting to go with cold resistance, but fire and arcane are excellent, and there are plenty of items with +all resistance

I said stupid, not useless. They're plenty useful. Too useful, infact.

But individual resistances has always been stupid game design. It was stupid in World of Warcraft, it was stupid in Diablo 2, and it is as every bit as equally stupid here now.

Health globe stats on items should just die. I don't care that it exists, but that fact that it is so prominent just makes it one of those things that ruins finding gear.
 
So does the Templar ever get good or is he always just a meatshield?

I even found a pretty good legendary tome that gives him a bunch of boosts but his damage is still lowwwww. Like he just swings and gets attacked while I get 99% of the kills...

If you're a ranged character the Templar is an awesome tank/diversion. Mine has some ridiculous amount of health that lets him stand there getting wailed on while I nuke the enemies. His heals and stuns are also super useful.

I can imagine the angst when they buff 'em and people sold them off for cheap get pisssssed.
 
So about the monk from last night turns out it was pre-nerf.

Also turns out the same friend got his hands on a farming bot and we got in a pretty heated argument over it and i had to block him (granted he's not a IRL friend) still, i think it's shitty and pathetic people would use these, i can't stand people who hack games.

Also anyone playing as a Wizard that's 60? Should i go for more max INT and less VIT? i didn't play much pre-nerf and just decided to get mine 60 tonight by farming azmo.

I stopped using followers because they didn't shut the hell up.

I seriously wish this game had an option to turn off all the dialogue. I don't care about any of the story anymore, shut up and let me get on with my kiting and slaughtering.

EDIT: Oh cool, game didn't pause so the enemies from the other side of the map came over and slaughtered me.

Only reason I don't salvage mine is because I'm pretty sure blizzard are gonna buff legendaries and set items as soon as they can. The question is whether any of the items that are already in the game will have their stats changed, or if it will only be the ones that drop after the items get their stats changed.

I guess if the low level material sells for enough. I sold all my useless blues and yellows once it was apparent I'd never be using them to craft anything again. 50-150g here and there adds up.
 
So I can't do shit in hell mode until I get better gear, and since I have very little money this may take some time. Is there a good spot to farm for gold/gear in nightmare or should I pick somewhere with a lot of mobs?
 
The way he says Jondar is hilarious. My brthers and I are always calling epic monsters and bosses "Jondars" now because the Templar exaggerates it so much.

Can anyone give me tips on Act 2 Inferno as a barb?

Act 1 was a breeze - I knew it gets tough from 2, but those initial monsters still scared me bad.
I know that I lack resists, health, and damage. I'm going to try to get a hold of a String of Ears.
I'm just wondering if there's any good tips for it. Thanks.

Im about half way through Act 2 Inferno, currently waiting on more people to catch up (for the first few days I was on inferno, public games in that act would have like 14 players total, such a low number) but when I was playing A2 the Barb in our party spent a lot of time stunning things for us and running away from them while us ranged all tried to mow them down. That was on elite packs only, he could melee fine on most normal mobs.

Im sure thats bad news but it seems Barbs had it rougher than most at that point, that was days ago tho so who knows now.
 
The male wizard has such an annoying, patronizing, condescending tone when replying to many of the Templar's lines, but the one thing that annoys me most is his weirdly-said "Why is that?" after the Templar has pronounced his manlove for ol' Wizzy.
