Woah, nice. I just stock my follower with magic find. Scoundrel does 1k DPS and has something like 30-40% MF.

I wanted to ask a long time ago if MF and GF on your following mattered. Good to know. I'm assuming there is but I haven't looked yet, can you put your follower on passive? It annoys me when they engage and enemy I'm not ready to deal with.

I just started having FPS issues today. Nvidia had updated my drivers last night, so reverted them, but that didn't solve the problems for me at all. Anyone else suddenly having these issues?

"No, don't do that don't do that!!! Fuck why'd you shoot the Treasure Goblin!"

Every day.

"Oh, you're going to do a room sweep to make sure there's nobody around? That's cool. I'm just going to go ahead and hit it while you do that! I'm so helpful."

I really don't understand why they went so backwards with the followers from D2:LoD. They made them more powerful and involved characters in D2 for a reason, but in D3 they're just back to their gimpy D2 form + a little bit of dumb plot and banter. Do they even survive in any difficulty above Normal? (other than in the sense they respawn automatically)

I even noticed that their damage output is severely lower than it should be for the items they have equipped. What's up with that?

They gotta leave something for the expansion back.
Return of Imperius

+1!

So goddamn annoying. I've died several times accidentally chasing him into a pack of blues/yellows.

its this reason that i dont use followers and to be honest the elemental ally is a moron as well. Today at lunch he went from pack to pack starting fights...its almost as if i am following him. Then the coup de grace of our little nature walk was him running into a pack of [fire chain, waller, frozen] elite mobs while I was at 0 spirit and my mantra was not up.

I could punch a brick wall right now.

You know what, I'll just go ahead and do that.

Try and stop me.

You know...i didn't realize you could leave followers behind. Though even still I probably wouldn't because their disables often times come in handy. Plus, my follower is doing like 4,000 damage, so it's a little helpful. But I'll definitely give that some thought.

Scumbag Treasure Goblin is one of the best things ever. You can chase him but he'll always kite you to some absurd pack of monsters. He's awesome.

Treasure Goblin is the ultimate in devastating things the game throws at you. The enemy modifiers have nothing on it. It's like a distraction spell with a 100% success rate.

So for your class what do you think the most worthless skills are?

For Demon Hunter:

-Serpetine Chakram: Slow slow slow slow. Never hits shit due to it's weird arc, and the fact it moves at a snails pace. Only way for it to hit stuff is if your enemy somehow decides to stop moving for 5 seconds.

-Bounty Hunter Entangling shot: Not a fan of entangling period.. but runing life leech on such a low damaging skill is stupid. Factor in inferno nerfing life steal and you got this POS.

-Fan of Knives, all versions: A 10 second cooldown skill with a 10 yard range? SIGN ME UP!. Why would you take this? All versions except the 20 yard range one require you to be close to the things trying to smash you. Not to mention you sacrifice your steady aim bonus if you want it to hit anything. Might of been useful if not for the cooldown.

-Companion Ferret: Gives you a 10% GF bonus... wee? I guess it adds up.. but that's a waste slot.

-Hot Pursuit (Passive): 15% speed buff with full hatred. Great a skill that's only useful when you're not fighting. Basically this only helps you if you're running through an already cleared level. Yay?

-Perfectionist (Passive): 10% reduction to discipline costs. Sounds great, but since most disc costs are about 12-14.. that's only a 1 point reduction. You'd have to cast Smoke screen 12-14 times to add up enough to SS again. Which is a moot point since you used preparation after you casted SS 5 times... which made those 5 points you saved useless.

Yeah. 2.7k is enough to be useful. It'll be nice once I get him higher though. Templar needs a lot more work though, VIT/All Resist and STR.

I'll probably try and buff the Enchantress too soon.

I can't even describe how it feels to go through that hell and manage to isolate the little bastard only for him to teleport away when his health rolls into the triple digits. On more than one occasion he's teleported off a mere fraction of a second before his death.

Brings me back to Golden Axe. Quit yer runnin'... FUCK! Let me just... hit... dammit!

i'd love to see them pop during a boss fights too.

I saw him summon a portal once, or maybe I was tripping balls...can we step into the portal they open?

yes they summon a portal and jump through if your not quick enough. i remember some npc dialogue about their realm or something along those lines. I couldn't imagine a bunch of those little bastards running around trying to flee.

I like my little Ferret buddy. Any little bit of GF% helps. Not like I need the slot anyway for gold run farms. Honestly, I like the gold pickup radius part more than the 10% GF. Pick gold up from the other side of the screen? Why thank you my little furry companion. Thank you.

...but, yeah, it's pretty shitty.

Edit: Though, it doesn't actually reflect +10% to your GF% so I don't even know if it's functioning, really.

Doesnt seem like you can. A shame really, would have been a golden opportunity for a secret level with a boss called Greedd ( listen to the lore about them )

ok after 45 mins i killed the skeleton king....again. back to the game now.

Don't worry. You'll redo him again on a new character or the next difficulty and the one after that and after that, etc.

Good on you for sticking it through. Repeating stuff sucks, but it's just a small inconvinence in the scope of a game like this.

Wait till you get to Act 2, then you'll be like "can't believe I was going to give up on this game over something so trivial."

SACRILIGE!

I still wish it said "Gheed" instead of "Greed" so we could hop on over and murder that damn merchant from Act 1 Diablo 2.

I'll chase a treasure goblin to the fucking ends of the earth, elites be damned. I don't care about anything else but that conniving little mongrel dying by my hand, even if it means my entire party dies with me. And my barbarian runs slow as fuck too, so it's extra frustrating.

Vault ftw.

When i had cyclone strike slotted I would pull that motherfucker in every time he tried to escape. No running away from me you piece of shit treasure goblin.

I wish the templar would stop bumrushing the treasure goblin the second it comes on the screen. I usually play co-op, so it's not that big of an issue then, but every time I'm doing something solo and a goblin pops up, the templar rushes it before I can clear any of the surrounding areas out and the goblin runs through like 3 packs of elites q_q

Disagree.

Ferret adds up quite a lot, especially when I was running through Hell. Once I get some areas down on farm in inferno(or if I'm running with a party in inferno) I'll be using it. When you get to the point where you can kite well you can sacrifice that skill slot to use it.

Hot Pursuit is great as well in the lower levels when you're not having to use hatred so much to kill mobs. In the latter difficulties you're using hatred more often and doesn't become that useful. Good for farming runs though with vault/(old)ss.
