Love this one. Always the lawful citizens. Obeying traffic laws.

Seeing as this thread is moving very rappidly I will quote my plan again.
jointly ordering a complete Box of Series 7 Minifigs (and possibly backordering other series)

So I am thinking of ordering a complete box of 60 Minifigs for Series 7, they are then cheaper and I don't have to feel out the bags.
Now from all the Information we have, one gets 3 complete sets from a box and a few random extras.

So I am looking for 2 fellow LEGOgaf Members who would like to share in the endeavor.
I would order the complete box, sort out the 3 complete sets and we can decide what to do with the extras later (ie distribute them randomly among us or something like that)

We divide the cost of the order by three and well the other two have to additionally pay the shipping from me to them.
I am located in Germany, so you can roughly estimate how much the postage will cost you.
Residents of germany will inadvertently pay less postage than australians...

There is now a Box on sale at Bricklink for 100€+5€ postage, that means 35€ for 20 Minifigs (including I would hope a complete set) (+postage to you)
other sales range up to 120€

If many people are interested we might be able to split the whole thing up into regional joint order groups of three.

I would keep this post updated with people who are interested. so please indicate your location for possible grouping.

the last two build for the sandbuggy and hellicopter transport sets :)

£100 argos voucher burning a hole in my pocket - Millenium falcon for £110 or Quinjet for £69, and a couple of small friends sets (thinking design and inventors lab)?

Thanks for the tip LegoGAF, had a day off work anyway so went down to Smyths and grabbed myself a little treat.

Took one Planet to one counter and the other to the games counter.

On a whim I picked up my first and probably only non-Lego construction toy;

well its the same with the series 2 minifigs that are now part of a new set, it is a bit mean towards the collectors who thought they had something special that no one else will be able to buy new anymore...

Oh they are? I never got into the minifigs (because I hate the randomness of it all, ha). There were a few that I would LOVE, but I just don't want to spend money to MAYBE get my Hazmat guys, ha.

Did they reissue the S2 figs or did they just start including them in sets?

It looks like Lego is finding ways to re-release the Collectible Minifigures. This $15 set includes the male surfer from Series 2, the hula dancer from Series 3 and the female surfer from Series 4.

this is the first i believe. but judging by the monsterhunter pictures I've seen there are minifigs that are at the very least very similar to the ones seen in the different series, for instance Frankenstein or the mad scientist.

Shirtless Darth Maul stats from Bricklink;

Current Items for Sale:

Total Lots: 17
Total Qty: 216
Min Price: GBP 14.66
Avg Price: GBP 27.72
Qty Avg Price: GBP 17.38
Max Price: GBP 51.01

There's still some crazy people out there if they would still pay £50.

One of mine if for my nephew but I am not sure what I will do with my own one.... probably just keep it in the bag as part of the collection.

Or maybe my first bag build....hahahaha

Woops - that sucks! Maybe they'll give me easy access to Hazmat and Zombie minifigs soon. :3

welp, finally I'm back, and strangely this is the thread I miss posting on

and my Quinjet Avengers Jet thingy hasn't shipped yet , tell me the 20% discount on Amazon wasn't good to be true!

I'd love a Lego Avengers video game. Really looking forward to the LOTR game.

really surprised they didn't have one ready. Maybe Lego snagged the license at relatively short notice?

Went to the Lego store today, to see if they had any of the new creator sets in (seaside house etc). They didn't.

So instead I bought Big Ben, a friends set for my daughter's birthday, and R2D2. Yes, after dismissing it for having a chunky head I saw it in the window of the Lego store and fell in love. The review on eurobricks helped too.

I wanted two Big Bens but they only had one left. Was going to see if I could scale it up slightly so the clock face didn't stick out.

Edit: I got two hulks too :)

I'm halfway through building R2, and I must say, it is one of the most interesting and fun builds I've done. It's definitely more colorful than anything else I've built.

My top 3 builds so far are:

1) Death Star
2) R2-D2
3) Imperial Shuttle

One disappointment for the LotR sets. Hobbits some with little hobbit swords, Frodo somes with LEGO sting.

Aragorn comes with standard sword, not a LEGO Andúril.

People are also disappointed that the Hobbits are wearing shoes. How hard would it have been to paint the lil feet flesh colored?

I read somewhere that were is an add for the upcoming Hobbit sets in the back of the LOTR instruction booklets. Is there a scan out there?

It just says Hobbit sets coming, no pictures of sets or anything.

I forgot that R2-D2 even came out. I still wish I could afford the old Death Star. Probably one of my favorite looking models in existence (next to my Dragon of course, haha).

Well, I clicked on this topic knowing it would make me want to pick up a new Lego set.
I haven't built a larger set in years (since 2000, I think), but today I'm going up to the LEGO Store in Rockefeller Center to pick up a set.

I've always been a fan of the City sets, so I think I'm leaning towards either the Airport or Shuttle Expedition... Any recommendations? I'm definitely only looking to spend $50-100 right now.

Oh man, Shuttle Expedition is SOOOOO good.

The Kmart stuff is hit or miss. Some stores are discounting the Harry potter and alien conquest stuff as well as all of the pirates stuff. Some are mixing and matching. Good luck everybody

As Nicoga said, Shuttle Expedition is one of the best choices. One of the most acclaimed sets on the board it seems. I think the only complaint I read about it is that you need the baseplate to keep it upright, but otherwise everyone gushes over it. I still need to get it.

If you dont mind waiting a week or so, the Sopwith Camel is hitting on June 1st. Many on here are drooling at the thought of that beast.

Kmart is clearancing a ton of sets. I just picked up a small fleet of QAR for $30 apiece.

I'm not sure if it's nationwide or not, but my local ones were doing a 50% off clearance toys sale. I went back and got my QAR price adjusted to $30, and with the change I got Captain's Cabin, Fountain of Youth and Isla de Muerta, with a bit of money leftover.

I had actually gotten the Alien Conquest Earth Defense HQ for a bit over $30 during another 50% clearance toy sale a few months back. Saving that one for the nephews as well. I really spoil them too much.

If anyone goes to K-Mart and see the AC mobile headquarters thing massively reduced in price, can I trouble you to help a brother out? The stores around here are totally wiped out.

Camel may be worth waiting for...Good point. Look at the two models and decide. Those are the two you should be looking at TheSailerman.

Headed to the Lego store after work today. Will either buy the Camper Van or decide to wait for the Sopwith Camel.

Would really like Town Hall but have a good hunch I will be getting it for Father's Day.

So... my first Kreo. I know this is the Lego thread but I got this just out of curiosity......

The truck is much better looking than the robot but the quality, or lack thereof, is what stands out. The friction is too high so you have to really push (or pull) to get pices where you want them and for a set with just 90 pieces you really feel it on your fingers. More so when taking it apart.

Too many stickers
No printed parts
Ball joins stiffer than you'd think possible
No rubber tires

CXzvy.jpg

All in all this is my last Kreo. I would not recommend this stuff to anyone.

That Queen Anne's Revenge set it amazing. It's such a showpiece. It's easily the most extravagant set I own. I like it so much, I'm getting a Black Pearl ASAP to compliment it. I just finished building mine and my wife and kids were full of Ooos and Ahhhs. It's even better than I was hoping it would be. Total build time was about 4 hours. I started it as I watched MI4 last night with the wife and finished it today while watching Zathura with the girls.

60$ is a steal. At 30$ each, I would buy every set that I saw. The resell on these is going to be insane.

I'm glad I grabbed the Isla De Muerta set as a compliment to the Queen. It has a row boat, treasure chest, Barbossa, a different Jack Sparrow, and Elizabeth Swann in a dress. It gives my kids a lot more to work with when playing together. But adding the Pearl is really going to take it up a notch. The Pearl will also add more villains and good guys to the mix. I think between all 3 sets I will have the majority of the PotC cast and characters.

Yeah, when it comes to building blocks, LEGO is one of the only good building block out there. Nanoblocks are also very excellent, but the grip is not quite as good (and taking them apart is fucking stupid hard).

LEGO is where it's at.
