Here's the VIP Exclusive Minifig set. Completely underwhelming, if you have the CMF Series 3 minifigs.

I don't have any of those, so I'll definitely bite.

well i'm buying that minecraft set off amazon :P i'll post pics if nobody else does before me

HURRY if you want a new batcave for only $44 off amazon warehouse (had a dented box, big deal) cheapest i have ever seen it! They probably only have 1 or 2.

Rocket Punch, I do think those are cool. I'll probably pick one up sometime and see what I think.

It is such a good thing for my bank account that I was not online when this happened, haha.

I agree with the dude who says it sucks living in a city-there are no readily accessible kmarts for someone who lives off public transport. I'd have to take a bus and then walk a mile through some strange random suburb to find one.

Here's my four year old, Kieran, absolutely shitting himself at the thought of dropping Dad's Millennium Falcon on the dining room floor.

I managed to stretch out this build for over a month with them (small amounts of build time as a reward for doing chores, being nice to Mum etc) and both kids love it. The one thing I'm disappointed with is the quality of the build around the mounting point for the cockpit, specifically the 4 curved pieces added in step 77 - they don't seem solidly enough mounted on my one?

I am staring at the batman funhouse escape set and 4 series 7 minifigs in my cart on lego.com. The temptation is so high but my previous order of legos doesn't even arrive til thursday...... And my girlfriend and I have not built the second building of the market village that she got 2 months ago......... But if I order now I get the hulk.... But the big hulk is cooler..... so maybe I should buy the helicarrier breakout set... then i could buy the spiderman set and frankenstein set and make one unified laboratory...... but then I'd probably be going without food a month from now......... bah I'll sleep on it all.

WELP That's apparently what it looks like when capitalism begins to erode at my sanity.

Also, say goodbye to your wallet.
Wallet? Why do you need a wallet? Doesn't everyone have their wages garnished directly to LEGO.com? I signed a pre-authorized payment form with my bank and everything...

It's not just yours. The cockpit cone fits very poorly and falls off if you look at it the wrong way.

Was lucky enough to have my Kmart right by my work have 4(!) QAR. $30 each!

Lots of other good deals there too, I got a few toys for my niece and nephew for under $2.

Later at Meijer, I found this in a back corner clearance:

They had 2 of them, boxes were crushed, but oddly enough they didn't have any other LotR sets on the shelves. I didn't pick it up since I'm not really into the LotR sets but if anyone here wants a crushed box I'll pick it up and send it to ya.

Random pic.

If you have more half plates I recommend putting them at the front for riot detail or to build structures on the street in front.

And I just finished disassembling the first tower in Tower Bridge. The bridges are down now, only the one tower to go before I get some MOC action going. As I took it apart, I was reminded of just how hollow this set was and just how many tiny little pieces there are in it. Just nuts.

Anyways, I experimented with the pieces I had done for an idea I was having for the MOC.

Thinking of doing the coffee shop idea I have been doing in LDD, but using almost nothing but Tower Bridge pieces to do it. Well, I will have to dip into my old sets and other creator sets for some stuff, but this I just threw together in about ten minutes.

Thinking of having the first floor have this at the top front hanging over the sidewalk. Then the second floor will be a balcony on top of that with tables and chairs for outdoor eating. That or have this be the bottom of the second floor and keep the thickness down a bit. Again, just an idea that I tossed together quickly. But it was my first attempt at doing letters on my own.

Found a kmart i could actually go to, one that happens to be reachable by public transportation. Tomorrow I quest for QAR. My girlfriend would be estatic to return from her trip and find it waiting.

Sadly I will probably buy this so I can have the gorilla suit guy to go with my bunny and lizard guys.

I want a lizard suit guy. Love my two bunny men, but want lizard suit. The sheer absurdity of the figures is what I love, and the more multiples I have the better.

As I have begun to consider reaching back to start getting some of the CMFs I have found quite a few of them at decent prices, just a matter of trying to find best shipping prices and seeing where you might be able to combine orders. I just don't know when I will get around to actually starting the process.

The main thing I want the absurd mini figs for is the absurd pictures I can take. And of course with all the awesome Marvel sets out, I can get even more absurd in my pics.

Funny enough, the bowtie was green on the mini fig. It worked perfectly.

I get bored some nights...

My wife rolls her eyes and chuckles as I take the pics, but she does find it funny how much glee I take in doing silly things like this. But she knew she was marrying a five year old.

I lucked out and found almost the complete series 5 at TRU a couple weeks ago. Am actually missing the fisherman, so that VIP set helps out.

Local Toys R Us had a few series 5 bags mixed in with series 6 stuff, but every bag I pulled had been cut open. Bullshit.

I'm glad I got caught at my first attempt at shoplifting when I was 5 years old. Never attempted again!

Was a pack of the pills that grow into foam animal shapes when you put them in warm water. K.B. Toys. Only barely made it out the door to the mall bench. Heheh.

I did just that - $60 to $65 per Series (including shipping) came out to about $4 a minifig. The only series that you should expect to pay more for is Series 1, as some of those (such as the zombie) have increased in value.

Damn, lucky bastard, let me know if you're interested in parting with any of the minifigs

Anne know hoe Target works with stoking Lego in stores? They have the LotR & Monster Fighter sets online, but the show as not being sold in stores. What's up with that?

Looking Good, I like the round edges :)

Is it odd that I felt a little uncomfortable when I got down to just one set unbuilt? I didn't like the idea of building it and the having nothing new. So I built myself a little backlog to give me some buffer.

- tower bridge (had this before)
- r2D2 (swore off it but fell in love seeing him in person at the Lego store. Be warned he's adorable)
- sonic boom (on sale at amazon and I loved fast flyers)
- maersk train (on sale at amazon Italy - yes I'm going international for my fix now..). Also got PF functions coming for this
- Millenium falcon (on sale and I had a bunch of vouchers so cost practically nothing)

I want to build tower bridge over the jubilee bank holiday weekend with my son I think. But I really want to start R2 soon. The others can wait a while

That should se me through to the new creator sets (want the flat bed truck and maybe seaside house), and haunted house.

An RC Technic truck? My girl will be over that!

Also, any one able to get some extra Kmart deals? The stores (and hoarders) around here suck, so they are out. Looking for Friends cafe, the AC line, and Heroica.

Will pay price plus shipping!

Does anyone have any recommendation for software/tutorials that show you how to superimpose a moving mouth onto a Lego face (for custom videos)?

My wife built the Pearl last night and I started but did not finish the Vampyre Castle. While I appreciate Lego's licensed proprties, while building the Monster Fighter sets I can see where their unhindered creativity is a real plus. The castle so far is jam packed with play areas. Much more than any other set I own like the Bat Cave, Funhouse Escape, or any of the Avenger or Pirate sets. I cannot wait until the entire series is built. I will do pics of everything set out together. Much like the Avengers, this series is looking like each set will become even better when you look at the series as a whole.

I love playsets if they're more like dollhouses rather than some random walls joined together (wtf at Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout). Vampyre Castle is so mine! When I get Olivia's House I plan to make it Modular compatible with removable rear walls.

The Vampyre Castle is right up your ally then. The entire thing is modular too. There will be 4 sections total that can be taken apart and played with seperately. I di not know if the whole set can be rearranged because I have yet to build the last (and largest) part. I am also anxious to see if the Frankenstein set can be added to the castle in some way. I'm building that one next while my wife knocks out 2 Star Wars sets.

Minecraft set should i buy 2... only has 480 pieces. I assume it's all 1x1 bricks and plates

I was thinking about this. It kinda bothers me that the set is not a complete in-game chunk. 16x16 is what it should be. Obviously it would not be the full 256 block depth though.
The set as it is, is just 12x12. So I kinda feel like getting 2 sets is required.

But I might be going overboard in thinking about it this way.
