3DS Streetpass Experiences

Yep, I picked you up in Mii Plaza (Zaheer). My Mii was a Dwight (The Office), but named EvilMario. :P

A few of us from Toronto-Age were sitting around talking for a couple of hours. I wish we would have known more people from GAF were there.
Yeah. One of us needs a GAF shirt.

I'm also surprised that not many people use the bubble text to advertise who/where they are, and why Nintendo doesn't save the last bubble message in the plaza.

I was the one with FoxMcCloud Head.

Just got the achievement: "You've tagged people with StreetPass 100 times today!"

Was at the Thai Festival in Yoyogi Park, Harajuku and while I was eating I kept getting street passed. By the time I left I had about 25 or so. Then I headed over to Akihabara and bought some stuff in Yodabashi while periodically checking my DS, then walked around a bit and kept getting tags. Figured I had about 70 at that point, so stood between Akihabara Station and Yodobashi and just watched the streetpass tags roll in faster than I could fight ghosts.

Okay, so I've finished Streetpass Quest twice. I've finished Streetpass Quest II once, and I've finished Steetpass Quest II's Secret Quest once.

In order to get all the hats, will I need to play Steetpass Quest II again, or shall I just stick with the Secret Quest from now on?

Streetpass Quest II has multiple paths as well. I think you'll need to beat it around 3 times to unlock all the hats there. Maybe more. Some hats in Quest II / Secret are only unlocked upon beating a room twice, etc.

I have yet to find a real good list of hats and where to get them. I've beat II twice now and Secret Quest five times and still don't have them all. :/

Got a whopping 6 streetpasses in a row the other day. Things are improving. Finished the SM3DL puzzle - yay! Also got all pink pieces for the Mario Open puzzle!

Congrats! Finished up SM3DL yesterday as well, and I finished up all the blue pieces. Still no pink pieces for Mario Open though, hopefully I get a bunch at Eurogamer this year.

Grr... why is it so hard to find a nice guide on Find Mii II's hats? I just want to know which rooms I need to double over to get the rest of the hats.

Also, is it true that you need to beat the final boss of the secret quest with like, less than 25 Miis or something in order to get the last key? If so, it's JUST the last boss right, (IE, doesn't matter how many you waste on the guys from the first game's ending)? How hard is that to manage? My current plan is just to only throw my level 7s that can pair at him (build up coins and do it bit by bit.)

I am currently going through the secret quest again (I think 7th time now), and sadly, no really good guides exist...the ones I had used were based soley on the second quest, and didn't include the secret quest at all. That said, to get the key (I assume to the second quest???) when I got done with all the other spots I could go to.

If you are referring to the two keys you need in the secretquest, basically, my recommendation is just do the three possible upper paths, and you'll get the keys that way. (if I recall, the silver key is found on one of the rooms, while the gold key is after the final boss.)

I shall scan a 'guide' I have made with the three quest so far (by 'guide' I mean a very crude hand drawn map...hehe). Mind you, I haven't put where the hats I found were, but, if anyone is interested in what rooms have what challenges, I shall be glad to share!

The 25 or less thing...I think is for Find Mii 1...but is an accomplishment, and is actually 30 or less (I have done the quest with only 23 people, mostly level 7s but was very easy since I saw that person every day).

Here's a map for Find Mii II's Secret Quest:

There are errors in this map, though. There are no hats to be found in room 15. The Pink Yoshi Hat is in room 22, and the Chomp Hat is in room 7. I believe everything else is correct, but I may have missed something else.

(Credit goes to Chaotic_Chewtoy from GBAtemp, where I found this map via Google, for making it).

So....not true?
Edit: Lol at the King of Streetpass coming up with the goods. ;)

How many "Beat Find Mii 1" achievements are there? I just got the beat 5 times one, but there's one unknown one under it. How many more times do I need to beat it for that?

Had to visit Austin to get my first Japanese streetpass! The guy had a lot of mysterious pictures...

I've been getting back into my 3DS so I've been taking it out more. I'm getting a hit about 50% of the time on random excursions. Glad to see that this feature is still useful!

The Accomplishment under that one is "Completed Find Mii 10 times." The only other one for Find Mii under that is "Completed Find Mii with 30 or fewer Mii characters." The rest are for Find Mii II.

Is there an advantage to moving a gold Mii to the Mii Plaza? Last E3 I got a few golds, and moved one of them to the Mii Plaza to hang on to him (no Find Mii II back then). Just learned you can move him back, but I can't use him in Find Mii II so I'm not sure of the point. Am I missing something? What should I do with Reggie and the others? Just keep them in the Plaza?

Not StreetPass-related, but I passed one million steps a few days back. I was probably more excited about it than I should be — just a cool milestone. Can't help but wonder how many more I'd have if I took it everywhere with me instead of just to work (I walk pretty much everywhere).

I was there, got all of the pink pieces EXCEPT ONE Mario Tennis piece - and I seriously passed over 100 folks, no one else had the piece either, conspiracy much? :)

Same here, I was able to get all the pink pieces I was missing except on Tennis Open piece.

Lower left corner of the pink pieces? Yea, noone in the entire concert that I streetpassed had it. Boo.

25 seems to be off, but we haven't figured out what specifically the requirement is. We know that 21 does work, unless there some other variable we haven't determined.

Anybody have any luck in Barcelona?

Last year I took my 3DS with me, and got nothing in a week. This included spending 3 days carrying it around at Primavera Festival.

I was suprised that I didn't get one streetpass nibble at all whilst I was there. Toying with the idea of taking it to primavera with me this year, but if streetpass is dead in Barcelona, I probably won't bother....

For big events with streetpass, I know that you have to clear out the plaza gate for every ten tags, but is there a way to get all the puzzles/find mii stuff later besides doing it constantly at the event? Seems like a waste if you don't want to babysit the 3DS all day.

Yeah, it's really annoying. I wish they could raise the queue cap, but maybe it's a memory limitation or something. If you go to an expo and want to get hundreds of tags, you pretty much need to be clearing your queue out the entire time -- not fun.

I'm back from Phoenix Comicon with 301 new Miis in my Plaza! Finally got the Accomplishment for getting 100 StreetPass tags in a day, too! And I got the last Puzzle Swap piece that I needed for the Mario Tennis Open panel. Now it's back to having nothing to do in the StreetPass Mii Plaza except collecting more Miis and working on Accomplishments, lol. Hopefully we get more Puzzle Swap panels and/or Find Mii III soon. =P

Lol, Cheesemeister is more of a King of StreetPass than I am, haha. Over 3,000 Miis in his Plaza? I can only dream of achieving that someday. =P Though now I don't know if I really want to, knowing that older Miis will lose their last played game and such... =/

Just got the last of the hats. Go Japan.

Just got back from Disney world and got about 20 Streetpasses in a couple of days on my new white J-3DS and only about half as many on my American launch unit. What's weird is they were both in my backpack at all times. I think my American unit is either partially defective or they have improved the hardware since the first units.

I only got one out of country hit (and it was from Japan, go figure) but I managed hits from Florida, Alabama, California, Indiana, Maryland, New York and Rhode Island as well.

I'm at 130+ hits on my street pass. I got a whole bunch at a few work events but I always seem to pick one up when I'm out and about london underground.

Pro tip: Kings Cross Station seems to be where all lot of 3DS owners hang out. Always get at least 2 or 3 hits each time I pass through

Yeah, it took until the 6th time or so through Ura Find Mii II. I didn't use any guides. I'm now at 3912 StreetPasses.
Ah. By the way, do you know if your oldest Miis start disappearing with your 3,000th Mii, or is it after that with Mii #3,001? I ask because there's an Accomplishment for getting 3,000 Miis in your Plaza, and I would want to get that Accomplishment eventually, but at the same time I don't want my older Miis to be erased or lose their last played game. How does it work? =/

I didn't check. I'd imagine 3000 are stored at a time, but it's an off-by-one issue that nobody will ever notice or care about. Unless you're planning to permanently turn off the wireless switch upon getting #3000 if you reach it, don't bother.

My plan would be once I reach 3,000, I would go back and delete all of my Miis obtained via Invite Mii (and therefore not having a last played game and not being usable in Find Mii) and I'd turn Invite Mii off. That would bump my Plaza population down considerably (though that's not because my Plaza is filled with random Miis from Mario Kart 7, etc. like many people, because I turn Invite Mii off when playing with random people online because I don't want random Miis in my Plaza like that), and hopefully it would take me quite awhile before I reach 3,000 again. In the event that that does happen... I dunno what I'd do, lol. I guess I could just delete the Miis myself so I don't go over 3,000. The Miis would be deleted either way, but at least if I deleted them myself then my older Miis that aren't deleted would still have their last played game.

...Of course, this is all assuming that this unfortunate event takes place after you reach 3,000, not when you do. But I really doubt that that's the case. =/ This really sucks for me, because I really care about my StreetPass Miis. Going back and looking through all of them really tells a story... When I look at my Miis, I remember greeting each and every one at the Plaza gate (okay, maybe not every one, but most of them), and where and when I StreetPassed them. I see huge groups of Miis from conventions and StreetPass meet ups, and all those one-off Miis that I met at the gas station, or while driving down the freeway, or at some store, etc. I see so many interesting games as people's last played title. I actually get kind of emotional when I scroll up through all my StreetPass Miis, because it reminds me of past events and such that are long over now...

This probably makes me sound like a big loser, but whatever, I don't care. StreetPass is hugely important to me. It's impacted my life in so many ways. I've made many great friends and had lots of great experiences through StreetPass. And running a StreetPass group has brought me so much joy and excitement. StreetPass has really changed my life for the better. It sounds silly to say, but it's true.

It's pretty alive in Madrid, so it shouldn't be much different up there.

All you active Streetpassers make me so jealous :(

What's the incentive to keep going after you have all hats and puzzle pieces though?
Accomplishments? The fun of playing Find Mii over and over?
I just imagine personally each tag would be a lot less exciting once I knew they would never have a new puzzle piece for me.

Considering what Nintendo has recently done with puzzles, they will likely release more puzzles for people to complete over time to promote their newest game, etc. North America still hasn't gotten the Fire Emblem puzzle.

I would love if 3rd parties decided to support StreetPass Mii Plaza by adding their own puzzles. A Layton puzzle would be simply perfect.

Also Rayman, Sonic, and Ace Attorney puzzles and hats while we're at it.

I don't think they can. Nintendo seems to have a hard lock on that, as it is part of the OS. They could beg, though!
