Lameballs. Have you seen any of the new SW sets in stores, leng jai?
It could go OOP anytime between now and the end of the year. Lego doesn't make announcements and it just quietly goes out of stock on their website.

Many thought it would be OOP now. There's no telling, but if it follows normal rules of the previous modulars, it will be this year sometime.

Absurd pricing for the most part, though expected. Desert Skiff and Jabba's Palace are highway robbery.
I had a look on the weekend and the shelves were bare, people went nuts in the toy sale!
Just ended up buying some NERF guns at 20% off.

The SW sets this year are such a letdown. Pinning all my hopes on the UCS B-Wing.

Nah, the Malevolance and Tie ships both look good. I don't know much about the Clone Wars / prequels but I do like those designs.
Jabba's Palace only looks decent due to the mini figs...

Yes, true, those are good. And I quite like the UCS R2. Just really disappointed by the very high ratio of prequel/clone wars shit to REAL Star Wars stuff. And the Jabba sets look very disappointing.

The two Old Republic sets look pretty cool. They're pretty solid ship designs that seem like nice-sized builds.

I was browsing Flickr looking at all the great micro scale sets people have put together and I found a few that I really love.
It's over a year old at this point, but this person made a great micro version of the the Death Star complete with micro rooms that are in the full sized version!
This one is a gorgeous set of Neverland. The tree tops are not actually connected which is a bit disappointing, but the detail in amazing, especially the water around the coast and the waterfall.
And my personal favorite: MECHAGODZILLA! (The quintessential version, too!)
I may have to try building this one myself someday.

There's just something about well made small scale pieces that I love. I think it was the Mini-Modulars that got me into them; I just love the minimalistic look, they often have extremely clever building tricks.
I also love them because of their size (hard to find space for bigger LEGO sets) and their smaller piece numbers. The mini Shaun of the Dead Winchester I put together was only around $30 to Bricklink and more than half of that was just because of the shipping from 4 separate places.

After watching that clip of him picking up and turning the Fury-class Interceptor... I do still want it but the $90 feels like way too much for it. Will be waiting for the first 15-25% off sale that comes around.

For shame, Phonciple. The true "no-brainer" answer here is BOTH. The Sopwith wins in terms of value for money and piece count, but they're both beautiful and have them, I will.
There's an open air market going on at the park near my place & a lady was selling a big shopping bag worth of LEGO among other things. It's weird, 2/3's of it is loose pieces while the remaining 1/3 is LEGO in sealed bags. Like someone dumped a Technic/Creator box set in there & opened half the bags. There are no manuals so don't even know whether I should get it as I'm not a fan of getting loose LEGO. But judging from the bag's size there might be at least 4 sets in there.
Only 2 things I recognized from the bag is 2 huge rubber tires which might be from this set...
And a big blue boat piece that might be from this set...
The lady is selling it to me for $70. What do I do, should i go for this mystery bag?

Yeah, $89.99 is a friggin' lot to ask for the Furys. If it were $79.99, I'd be there on day one.

So my girlfriend went home this past weekend and found that an old high school friend owns green grocer. She nearly died with jealousy. It looks like our big lego purchase for the summer will be Fire brigade.
Also, we negotiate a deal to allow ourselves one large lego purchase every 10 weeks. There are going to be some bitter bitter custody battles if this relationship ever goes south, and I will look like an asshole for stealing medieval market village
(it was a birthday present from her parents).
Clearly the way to go about this would be to make the breakup so traumatic that she can no longer bear the sight of legos.
My girlfriend knows I go on GAF and might know my username, so to cover my ass: If you stalk me and are reading this: I swear that was a hypothetical and an attempt at humor.
