Look at it this way, for $17 you get to watch the conference, get hyped, and either receive something great or get to be part of a massive let-down/melt-down.

To me this represents great value.

must be before they updated the site (?) but i bought a ps+ sub and entered the code earlier tonight and said the code can only be activated via ps console.
 
I am wanting to try it for three months, but I hate to do it based on the rumor that something great is going to be announced. Don't really give a shit about streaming PS1/PS2 games, but am definitely down for some free games and discounts. I am thinking of giving it a whirl for those reasons alone.

Yeah, I think I used them last December when the site was Qriocity. Dumb change : /
 
How can I get a PSN code through email? I did this a couple times with Amazon... now they don't offer them as instant emails anymore :(
 
I hope these rumors pan out. Against my better judgement I just re-subscribed for a year. I've got a PS3 and a Vita, so I figure I'll get my money's worth out of it.

If this PS+ surprise ends up being streaming related, I'm gonna be pissed.

If anything, it will be a price increase.

They do this "with what's coming next month ... you should totally subscribe" everytime.

I'd imagine whatever it is will be tied in to a line in the conference that says something along the lines of "and all current playstation plus subscribers will be automatically upgraded".

If my guess is right then Sunday should be fine, Monday probably isn't.

I've been thinking of getting PS+ for some time now... think I'm gonna get a year sub tomorrow. This better be good, Sony!

Is there a cheaper option than just getting it on the PSN Store?

You may get lucky and fine a store discount like one of the earlier posters. I couldn't find anything here in the UK but the US may have more deals to be found. Perhaps try Cheap Ass Gamer.

I live in Israel. They sell PSN cards over here, but I don't think think they sell PS+ cards.

PSN it is :P

US store usually has the best offers, right?
 
Signed up a few days ago. Slightly disappointed by this months 'free' games. Awersomenauts isn't all that great, but then I don't know what I was expecting...maybe something along the lines of Castle Crashers and the rest of the games are just shite.

Still, didn't sign up for the free games...only signed up in the hopes of them introducing cloud based BC.
 
damn it. I normally don't play anything on my ps3 outside of fighting games, but I do have a vita and that changes things a bit pending on what Sony plans to do for the Vita in regards to the psn+ thing.

It turns out you can't use credit cards from outside of the US in the US PSN Store? That's my understanding at least.

Is there a website where you can buy the PS+ US code and redeem it? or just a 50$ card?
 
Well, I got home and purchased a 3 months subscription.
Downloaded a bunch on themes (why there isn't background download for this?) and both PSX Castlevanias.

I wish they had discounted prices for PS2 and PSP games.
 
If it is a price hike as some are speculating, that tweet is the worst tease ever... "get three months if you aren't sure." Unless they hike the price and grandfather the old rate for active subscribers, that comment makes no sense.

I'm a little eager to find out what's coming up, but I fully expect a serious disappointment. I don't know whether I've gotten my money's worth from plus so far, but that's only because I have a big backlog I need to knock out. The free offerings have been solid and it would take something pretty significant to seem like they're going even bigger.

Yes in Australia. Used credit card and the address details they tell you to use outside of the US (which are their own). You will get an email with the code which you then plug into your PSN account.
