Hiya, so the Microsoft conference is over, and so I wanted to see what everyone's thoughts are on it, and whether it lived up to your expectations.

I was expecting a little more, but I sure wasn't expecting this little.

Probably worse than last year's. I was expecting some more game reveals and ending it on CoD felt awfully stale.

I just hope Sony announces Chrome or Firefox web browser for the PS3 today. IE on the 360 after 5 years was painful to see.

From the other thread:

Congratulations MS on the most limp dick conference ever!

- Halo 22
- Call of Duty 28
- Splinter Cell: Call of Duty
- EA yearly sports cashgrabs
- Shitty new IPs
- Kinect and media horseshit
- Wii U ripoffs

Fucking pathetic.

I'm at work so I haven't seen the conference yet. Bummer to hear it was lame. Who was the Grammy-winning artist?

Probably the worst E3 conference I have ever had the misfortune of watching. Uninspired, limp, scatterbrained, predictable, just plain AWFUL.

In terms of content shown it fell flat for me. But on the execution front it was less awkward and embarrassing than previous years. No broskis playing kinect football, no Skittles or preteen fist bumping. Trey Parker saved the mood for a brief glimmer.

Xbox has an audience but that audience isn't me. I learn this more and more every year.

South Park looks incredible, though. Easily my most non-Nintendo related awaited game now.

Also, Resident Evil 6 disappointed the hell out of me based on what they showed today. I wasn't prepared for that.

Terrible.

-Same franchises we've seen 3-4 times already
-Dubstep
-BETTER WITH KINECT (no)
-Splinter Cell, TR and RE all 3rd person cover scripted action shooters and all look exactly the same
-Angry birds ripoff
-30? 40? minutes of stuff completely unrelated to video games

0/10

Halo 4 and South park could not save this miserable event.

Though, I do not think I am in their target demographic anymore.

I'm honestly depressed that I spent 90 minutes of my day off watching it.

One of the worst I've personally ever seen.

I don't think it will be possible for either Sony or Nintendo to bomb harder. Disappointing to say the least.

E3 is a sales conference first and foremost. They show things that are going to sell to retailers this year. But Usher performing? Shitty sports apps and a web browser based on the worst one ever created?

I understood last year with the kiddie Kinect stuff but this year wasn't for retailers or gamers. Not sure who they were going for.

Southpark looks cool.
Tomb raider and Splinter Cell looks alright
Smart Glass looks really cool.
I thought resident evil 6 looked boring and that made me sorta sad.

Nothing to be like holy shit about but still not a bad conference I'm sure sony or nintendo will own the show and I'm more of a xbox fan.

I was very underwhelmed. The coolest thing out of the conference, IMO, was the Glass stuff, but that was leaked days ago. Tomb Raider looked bad, Splinter Cell looked dreadful. Halo 4 looked like Halo, which is good but not very exciting. Gears too.

All of their service announcements (ESPN, Nickelodeon, etc.) were things I couldn't care less about.

Probably their worst conference that I can remember. All the announcements were flat for me (except Gears). Tomb Raider and Halo 4 looked very solid though.
