Sorry if posted, but the Black Ops Declassified website seems to be live.

A sort-of image of the game. lol

Edit: If there is a trailer even remotely ready, I can't fathom why it wasn't rushed for the PS Press Conference.

isnt that screen from..from the Xbox demo?

im excited for CoD vita. I'll probably never get another console CoD again, but it's really tempting on Vita. cant wait for the trailer.

The physical PSP copy is on Amazon for $20. Why should the digital version be $30?

You'll be happy to know that Final Fantasy IV The Complete Collection for PSP is ON SALE on PSN for $19.99! Buy it!!

Really? Play out the worst case life cycle for the Vita.

Sony effectively ends support for it late next year. In that time we'll get AC:L, Gravity Rush, LBP, a Killzone game, already have WipEout and will get the add on content by then, Persona 4 will be out, etc.. Initial PS1 playback will be out. The PSP library will be healthily expanded.

At that point with no Sony overlords to crack down with firmware updates it likely gets hacked, custome FW'ed, and turns into the greatest emulation handheld of all time, with more than enough horsepower to run anything pre-Dreamcast at full speed.

Imagine all those nice bells and whistles you can have with ePSXe on a handheld with THAT screen. Also, PSP game playback would be cracked in a matter of months, not years, with near 100% compatibility.

The system has a very intriguing life simply as a replacement "all in one" emu handheld once Sony walks away form it, whenever that is.
The problem with this line of thinking is it presumes that the PSVita can be cracked... that's not likely, to be honest... Sony has thought about this and designed the hardware and software in concert with security in mind. I'm confident that the hobbiest community aren't going to be able to crack it...

If that's the official site, why does the font look different than what was shown during the conference?

Good question. Whois shows some curious info:

Dang it. I really hope Treyarch is still developing the game though. :(

Yeah, googling that email address brings back a bunch of scam/spam posts made in various comment threads.

Oh by the way, I was in Denver over the weekend and got a hit on Near of somebody close by playing Ragnarok Odyssey. I guess that just means they were playing the import? Pretty cool though.

When Sony gets the mono VM running full speed on the Vita, you won't even need to crack it. You might need to spend $99 a year on a PS Suite developer license though to "test" on the Vita. Yeah, C# limits your emulation options a lot, but on the other hand, the Vita's fast enough that pre-Dreamcast might still be possible. PS1 and Saturn will be iffy though.

Everything can be hacked, almost everything eventually does get hacked. The Vita will likely be hacked well before the end of Sony's support.

Looks like Nyko updated the design for their power grip

New:
http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/FCKEditorFiles//85109%20Power%20Grip.png[IMG]
Wow, its identical to the grip I got from eBay, only the bottom of the back frame extends a bit lower, probably to house the battery.

I like how they just say "Well this crazy Japanese game was just sitting here with no info. Is it coming over? Who knows?!"

When they're a popular gaming blog, why don't they ask a Sony rep at the booth and get some actual information.

I think someone did (we have an official Miku discussion thread here on Gaf) and the response was "were just seeing how Americans react to the unlocalized demo version to gauge interest" or something along those lines. Our speculation is that they might be thinking of tossing the game up on PSN in the Japanese Imports section if nothing else.

Noticed the Little Big Planet Karting trailer is in the Day 1 E3 videos on my Vita. The other two vids are for games coming to Vita. I'm going to assume Karting will be coming at some point.

Interesting, I would assume that image is from the console version.
But still, it could be possible that it just wasn't ready on time, I assume for Vita trailers they are given to Sony who then puts it together with it being "played" on a Vita.

This is a very naive statement. Just because so many older, unprotected systems have been cracked doesn't mean it's going to continue to happen... The hobbiest community hasn't even been able to hack the DSi yet, and you presume they'll crack Vita? After what Sony went through with the PSP and PS3 - and what they've learned from those experiences - I'd wager that's not likely... Of course you are right that anything CAN be hacked, but the real cost in time and effort means it will only happen here if Vita proves a threat to American National Security... No, if it's ever hacked, it won't happen until long, long after Sony have stopped bothering to support it; I'm confident you won't see homebrew emulators except in PSP mode within 10 years...

VC2 works if you download from a PS3 and then transfer over to the Vita.

There's a lot of games like this and they have been for months. Why hasn't Sony bothered to fix that yet so that you no longer need a PS3 to make the transfer? They obviously work fine on the Vita, so what's the deal?

Who knows ? May be different delivery mechanis ? For the PSN->PS3->Vita route, the system would be using the well tested PS3 secure delivery mechanism, and then sync over to Vita. For the PSN->Vita route, it could be a new packaging + secure delivery system. If so, they may be waiting for QA to test these packages.

If you ask me, I think Sony has too many channels and delivery mechanisms (PSP Mini, digital PSP, UMD PSP, PS Mobile, etc.)

I had a great time at E3 today, and I paid particular attention to the Vita.

I played:

MGS HD Collection: It looked awesome, and well, it was MGS3 on my Vita. I couldn't ask for more, really.

LBP Vita: Amazing visuals. Same fun LBP game play. I can't wait.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time: Visuals disappointed me a bit during cutscenes (no cel-shading it looked like), but the visuals when actually playing the level were sharp as hell. Game was fun too. I love Sly.

Gravity Rush: They had the full game there, so I got to play a mission that was longer and more involved than the painfully short demo. Visuals were great, controls were great, fun, fun ,fun game. I cannot WAIT until next Tuesday.

PS One Classics: I played Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, and Final Fantasy VII. They had more, but those were running. I was impressed with how they looked on the Vita. TR is horribly slow and clunky. The genre has evolved too much to make that a title I want to revisit.

FFVII looked surprisingly good on the screen, even though it was only running at 4:3, and it is, in my opinion, the "least attractive" of the PS1 Final Fantasies. The Sony guy there assured me that there would be options to make it full screen, and map the controls. It was set to Japanese style controls. I'm really looking forward to playing SOTN, Alundra, FFIX, Chrono Cross, and Vagrant Story on my Vita. They will look amazing.

PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale Vita: Visuals were super impressive and sharp. I played against PS3 and other Vita players (2 Vita, 2 PS3). Controls were nice and smooth. The combat was fun and hectic, and the KO with supers only wasn't bad, and was actually kind of fun, as you need to have an opening to pull of the super, but you can be interrupted by people. It was hilarious yelling at the other people to gang up on the Kratos that had a full Level 3 super, and was trying to unleash it on all of us.

First round, I played as Kratos on Vita, and got served. Second round, I played as Sly Cooper on PS3 and got even more served (Sly feels like an advanced player character; he's super quick and agile, and his various skills seem like they have some strategy to using them). Third round, I played as Kratos again on PS3, and that time I came in first!

I'm a huge Smash Bros fan, and this feels similar, and yet, different. I really enjoyed it, and they mentioned that they are looking to do a two pack deal like with MLB The Show, where you pay $80(USD) or something, and get the PS3 and Vita versions.

If so, then sign me up. I'd probably get the Vita version, if I only had to choose one, because it looked amazing on that screen.

The colors are a lot more vibrant on both PS3 and Vita.

It was actually kind of funny, because I was playing on the Vita, but I could also just look up at the screen, and play it on the TV, without having to play on the Vita. But, dat screen.

I think a lot of the negative reactions to this game are blown out of proportion. After spending some time with it, I think it's awesome. I'll be there day one for this one.

It's a shame, because there were some other games on Vita that looked awesome that I didn't have time to play(and I wasn't allowed to play Guacamelee), but it's disappointing that Sony didn't mention any of those games at E3, or showed them during their conference. It gives the impression that the Vita doesn't have anything, but I think there was significant floor space dedicated to it. There were rows of Vita's, all playing various games.

Also, Sound Shapes looked AWESOME, but I didn't have time to play it (and there were quite a few people waiting in line too).

@ Figboy79 :
WOW, thanks for the impressions, Sly and Royale looked beautiful.
Your comments are very detailed, thanks for that.
If you are going tomorrow, could you give Jet Set Radio Vita a try!? That would be awesome.
I am gonna re-read your post :).
