Separate Nintendo 3DS Conference Confirmed - 6th June, 6-7pm PST

I guess I just want Nintendo to actually react to their fanbase, taking in and answering Twitter questions and such. But there's no guarantee that would happen on a live broadcast, I know.

I give Nintendo credit though. They seem to be doing a lot of things right lately, in terms of connecting with their audience through social media and even having a pre-E3 event and a show dedicated to the 3DS. I even think Miiverse looks really cool.

This is the kind of stuff I feel Microsoft and Sony should be doing. Even though the Nintendo conference was disappointing in many ways, I feel stuff like the pre-show, the event tonight, and the actual focus on GAMES is very in touch with us, the core gaming audience who will watch E3's events.

It's definitely live. They made a point of saying the Developer's Roundtable was pre-recorded, after all.

This is actually the ONLY conference I care about watching lol...

The 3DS price range is just right (and with rumored larger screen edition coming that includes circle pad); I have eyes on Luigi's Mansion 2, Paper Mario, NSMB1+2...

Pretty much grown tired of console games lacking and being overpriced michael bay schlock. Moving back to PC and handheld (cuz its cheaper)

It's going to be all trailers/demos for games we already know about. Any possible new game announcements will be distinctly casual-focused. 10:1 odds.

What are the chances of this conference saving E3? Slim to none?

If you're not joking, you should be embarrassed. Go read the first 5 or so pages of this thread and think about what you've done.

Are hardware redesigns usually unveiled at e3? The only one I can think of off-hand is the GBA micro.

I was kidding. I dont believe for a minute that Nintendo ever intended to show off a new 3DS at E3.

They probably realize that Mario will be a big seller two months from now, hold off any revision until the holidays and then plop it out. Nintendo is all about marketing.

If we get localizations of Japanese games I will be happy, we already know Unchained Blades and Code of Princess as well as Zero Escape are coming this year :)

Pretty sure Layton would be there too...

Yeah it would be unusual, I'm not counting it.

Maybe they scrapped the whole idea after Sony's conference, lol.
:(

If it does exist, it probably did come about because of the threat of Vita. And now that the threat is pretty much dead, there's no real need to rush it.

And on a sidenote, the trade-in value at Amazon for a 3DS is the same as a Vita, despite being 100 dollars different in retail price.

Remember that year they showed ONE piece of concept art for Skyward Sword? If they do the same for a 3DS Zelda game, that could be enough.

All I'm looking for is a Fire Emblem announcement and a look into whatever is in the pipe for the Eshop.

This conference is the last chance of any more announcements this e3 right? No Miyamoto roundtable?

How exactly do i watch the conference on Nintendo's site? it wants me to download some file?

Is there another site that I can "stream" from that isn't so bizarre.

Reggie said in an IGN interview that we won't be hearing about Retro's new game for "quite some time" :/

So all that crunch time chatter was just fluff huh. Great. Guess we have to wait another year. Nintendo won't have much of a choice at e3 2013 with possible(well, likely) new systems from both competitors.

*twiddles thumbs*

What if Retro's new game is a portable game? :O

Yeah, that thought also crossed my mind.

I don't except much, and I'm tired after all (1AM now here), so I think I'll skip it and go to sleep now. Hope to read something interesting tomorrow.

I don't know if it's been discussed here but Jonathan Holmes from destructoid is saying there's rumors floating around that more 3DS games will be added to the show floor tomorrow.

Good move by Nintendo IMO. Who knows what crap might show up, but I like the idea of E3 as a true week long event. Not "pressers, plus show floor impressions, fuck Day 2 and 3" type of mentality. Have something for the last couple of days too.

I jus want to see Fire Emblem get localized so we have another Nintendo game on the 3ds to look forward to this year that's not Mario related.

Also they need to sell me on Kingdom Hearts as a casual fan who hasn't really played all of the games. I feel like it would be worthless jumping in not knowing the full story, and so I'm iffy on if I should really care.

PS: I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Bravely Default shown. I doubt it though. :(

Although Nintendo's WiiU main conference left a lot to be desired, they still focused on the games. And I'm even more pleased to see that they're giving the 3DS its own mini-conference to show off its new titles. Personally I think everyone should do this each year.

So I'm looking forward to watching it, and as I wait I'm listening to SimCity 3000's and 4's soundtracks as I'm super hyped from SimCity; game looks great.

The only surprise will be different colours for folders at $2.50 per hue.

There will 500 errors all round.

Seems extremely likely at some point when I was in the Nintendo store a few months back they had a massive Fire Emblem display on the second floor (sword and all) so I think they want the series to become popular over here.

As for Bravely Default I think that may be more S-E's decision then Nintendo's and I would not expect an localization news until after the JP release.

Whatever they bring I just hope its good because their conf did not inspire me at all.
