I haven't been excited enough for Gravity Rush that I wanted to buy day 1, so I only knew the release date was some time in June. I saw it today at Wal-mart (didn't buy it) and just assumed it was out everywhere, but it seems they have it really early after happening upon the release date on GAF.

Have any other early releases been reported? I might go back and get it.

It's being shown behind closed doors and Jeff says he's seen it. He said there's a VATS-like slow motion targeting system in the game.

I really hope this ends up good.
I get extremly cautious when I see October releases date yet no live demo in June....or even worse, just a logo.

There's a live demo...just behind closed doors.

COD runs on an engine that was created in 2002 I doubt porting COD to the Vita is difficult. There are reports that there are NDAs for COD BLOPS 2 at E3 because essentially Microsoft bought their presence. Which is why you won't see it running on PS3 either, yet we all know it is coming to the PS3.

Yeah, no gameplay unfortunately. But I've been hearing good things, and I think outlets will have gotten material for hands on previews that we'll see appearing online over the next weeks or so?

May well be that it still looks rough, or that there is a game-breaking bug that they don't want the public to see, or the framerate is really bad, or whatever. But so far I really like what I'm hearing, that you get a full game. I actually start wondering about playing the Prince of Persia PSP games on Vita - I really enjoyed those, despite the controls holding them back somewhat, as well as the UMD disc loading. Anyone tried one of those? Perhaps they're not even on the store? I remember I bought one on UMD.

Is anyone else excited for Ragnarok Odyssey? I recently found out its getting localized in north america and I'm pretty pumped.

Ragnarok Online was awesome in its time and it seems like this is RO meets PSO

edit: and does anyone know if the 8/21 release date on amazon is confirmed or is it an estimation

Are you posting this from your Vita?

Doctor Who posting in a Vita thread about when Doctor Who is supposed to be out on Vita from his Vita which he bought to play Doctor Who Vita on his Vita.

So any word on that patch hitting the US for TOMB?

European patch had some serious problems that they're fixing. America will receive the fixed version of the update, but you guys still have some waiting to do, it seems:

As for the American release of the patch, unfortunately, we’re not able to influence the speed-up of it’s release. There is some policy-related hold-up at the American Store. Preliminary date is the end of June. On the bright side, American patch will be 1.60 already, and will not have any of the glitches of the 1.50 that were spotted in Europe.

Also, good news:
  • Treasures of Montezuma Blitz releases in Northern Europe, Australia and New Zealand! It will be made available on the next PlayStation Store update next Wednesday.
  • We have fixed all the bugs encountered in the 1.50 patch, and the 1.60 patch format tests commence today. Luckily, we will have it out in PSN within two weeks.

Someone hijacked Jim Sterlings mind. He didn't even say a single negative thing about SH BOM and even went so far as to defend it lol. The new videos and impressions have made me feel better about it. There were other glowing impressions floating around in other threads as well.

So... Silent Hill is good ? When ?

[Blink a few times]

I think I need more coffee.

So I just saw the trailer for - LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. Does anybody know if this is Open World on Vita too? That looks so damn awesome.

So, with the White Vita, did Sony give us any more details? Will it only be available in the bundle with AC:Liberation? Will it be Wi-fi only? I swear, it's like trying to draw blood from a stone getting info from SCEA on the Vita.

Unfortunately, experience tells me that the answer will be:
1.) Only available in the bundle.
2.) Wi-fi only.
3.)
"Color choices belong in the gaming ghetto. Black systems are teh mature."

Yes on all of that it seems.

After listening to IGN's Beyond podcast, this podcast confirms that Yoshida is really funny, lol.

Happy about:
-Web Browser Fixes (Vita).
-PSOne Classics expanding.
-PS3/Vita (Buy One Get Both).
-More emphasis on Cross Play.
-Call of Duty Vita trailer will be shown soon.
-PlayStation Mobile is very important (Vita/PS4 connections).
-TGS will have many surprises.

when is TGS this year? Sept?

is there a way to convert MKV to the format the vita accept while keeping the subtitles? I got it to work but the subtitles didn't carry over.

Like another poster said, Handbrake is a nice application for it. In order to get subtitles on the Vita, you need to select "burn in." So, rather than displaying the text over the images, the encoding will result in the images and subtitles becoming one entity.

hmm so I would have to do that for every video file and then convert that to the video format for the vita right?
