Well that's new...

Mobile Network must have an unusual orientation ;)

My friend got me hyped for Gravity Rush months ago and now he went out to buy MGS HD collection instead of it.

Feels a bit bad. ):

I was thinking about getting both, but I can't justify paying a Vita tax on a multiplatform game. I'll either buy the cheaper PS3 version or wait for a price-drop on the Vita version, depending on the framerate.

Today, saw a high school girl reading a Persona 4 strategy guide on the train here in Japan. Quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. Only a few more days till The Golden and I'll be playing P4 for the 5th time. Hyped!!

and he has been since March :(

Question: I tried using Remote Play using an internet connection but it asked me to turn on ps3 first and choose Remote Play there. Is there no way to Play my PSone games on my vita without first turning on my ps3 or am I missing something?

Assuming you've already linked the PS3 and Vita, you can set the PS3 to auto-start when a remote play connection is made. Then all you have to do is leave your PS3 off when you leave the house. It's a little trickier to get working than regular remote play over the internet, so you may want to try it normally first if you can.

I played through Golden Abyss last week and thought it was as good as the console games. I'd go as far and say GA had the best combat scenarios in all the games, but the final boss was way to easy.

I enjoyed Golden Abyss, but it's not better than 2 or 3. Maybe not 1 either, but it's close.

The combat feels good and you're right there are some good combat scenarios. More shooting while climbing than the console games. But the puzzles were just terrible. It's bad enough they used the touchscreen to solve them, but the solutions are about the most lazy attempt possible. I want to push some blocks around damn it. For real, not with my finger.

The story lacked any sense of permanence. Another girl for Drake to save, another egomanical military dude, another acquaintance looking out for his own interests. I don't want to bitch too much though, production quality is unprecedented on a handheld, and the mechanics are well-implemented.

Since we're talking Uncharted GA, I had a lot of fun with it, and the photo taking and mystery solving aspect injected a sense of newness into the series, which I feel had gotten pretty stagnant. I mean, it's amazing and all, but it's almost to the point where I expect/predict what's going to happen next, and Drake says "crap" instead of "shit" way too much.

Tried that, even formatted the unit and memory card. Still didn't help. I'm not really missing anything other than Music Unlimited and the ability to watch PSN movies (cries).

That sucks. What happens when you sign on to the Sony Entertainment Network website from a PC, and check the activated devices page ?

I really enjoyed Golden Abyss, I think it's probably my second favourite Uncharted game, it's really helped by the gyro aimming controls, I love the shooting in it so much. Uncharted 2 is probably my favourite in the series, 3 in my opinion is just a worse version of 2, so many parts of 3 I just didn't find fun at all. A Golden Abyss sequel with less gimmicks, some UC2 quality set pieces and multiplayer would be an amazing game in my opinion.

I'd rank the series as UC 2 (9.5) > GA (8.5) > UC3 = UC1 (8)

Morning Gaf!

Any info about Everbody's Golf 1.04 patch in Europe/USA ? I'd really love to play on VS Rooms with my friends.
Another question about EG. Is it now possilbe to play online against one of your friends? How? Do you have to use lobbies?

My country's PS Vita Facebook page says firmware 1.69 is online but my Vita won't detect it.
I'm guessing it's a typo. The last update I downloaded was 1.67, IIRC.

There is no easy way, but you could use a specific lobby where there aren't many other folks around.

I'm not saying GA is the best overall. I just felt the combat especially towards the end felt better executed then Naughty Dog's games. The end of Uncharted 3 was especially frustrating with unbalanced encounters. But your right when it comes to puzzles and story not matching Uncharted 2.

I advice everyone to get Everybody tennis PsP ( 9,99 € in eu ).
This game suits very well on PsVita. Good animation , so smooth and great and deep gameplay.

Awesome !

Just got this game through play-asia. Having a blast so far. I only wish this game isn't dedicated to SEED and Destiy series. At least they got most (maybe all?) of MSs from SEED/Destiny. Want to unlock Strike Noir badly!

So I played through and platinum'd Resistance: Burning Skies this weekend. I've got to say that, in spite of some shoe-horned touch controls, I actually quite enjoyed it; I really didn't think it was as bad as it was made out to be. Sure, it's no Resistance 3, but for a FPS on a new platform, it was worth the money. The multiplayer's not that bad, if bare-bones, either!

That's the similar opinion of a lot on GAF as well. It's actually pretty good. Some of the reviews that shit on it boggle my mind.

It's easy to be oh so tough reviewer with strict scores against tier B franchise without dedicated fanbase - makes you more credible when you give 10s to newest super hyped multimilion marketing budget crap ;)

So... nearly 6 months since the launch of this thing and we still can't see our trophies on the PS3?
I honestly don't think the PS brand will get good turnaround on projects until they dump their Japanese software/firmware development teams and move their stuff out west.

The guys on podcast beyond really hammered Shuhei Yoshida about it, he said it's a very complicated issue because the PS3 is much older than the Vita, that it was the first Sony console with networking from the get-go and even still the Vita is leaps and bounds above the PS3 in terms of networking. He said it's a known issue, but it's also very complicated. I'm right there with you, I want to just view my trophies on my PS3.
