Not looking forward to applying the screen protector when I get a vita. I always mess those up :(.

Where do you guys order your hori stuff? amazon.de/co.uk are out of the hori screen protector last time I checked.

I have the official Sony protector. It came in a two pack. I screwed up the first one, but managed to get the second one on perfectly.

I once had/still have all of those:

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2 - Gone)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2 EU - Gone)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (XBox - Gone)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (PC)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (PS2)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (PS3)

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2 - Gone)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (PS2)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (PS3)
Metal Gear Solid 3DS

I also plan on having MGSVita tomorrow. I simply love these games :P
(The choice between MGSVita and Gravity Rush will be easy, I'm getting both with the trade 1 get 1 offer)

I'm buying both, of course... I meant that chosing which one to play first would be hard... lol

my Gravity Rush is "shipping soon" from amazon!

It's almost here :3 :3 The long drought of games that interest me is nearly over!

This game and then LEGO Batman 2 next week!

Lego Batman 2 a console port? or watered down version??

No one seems to know which means we are probably getting the watered down version. They'll probably use the lame excuse of portables needing things to be shorter segments or some garbage. Hello the vita has a sleep button! I can save literally anywhere. Mid punch if I wanted.

I'll pick up GR and MGS tomorrow. Pretty bad that I have the HD CE for 360...still sealed.

I'll probably get Disgaea soon too

LEGO Batman 2 is *probably* a watered down version based on what I've seen in video form. But I don't care, I'm getting both the Vita and PC version, so I'll get the best of both worlds. I am putting my faith in TT and hoping it isn't the lazy version that the last Harry Potter on Vita turned out to be. If I'm wrong, well, I'm only paying $29 for it (technically $19.99 since I'm also getting a $10 credit for pre-ording), I'll risk it.

The Vita version should have trophies though. It will be fun to play when away from home.

We have LEGO Lord of the Rings (also on Vita) later this year, too :)

Oh I was thinking about getting Harry Potter, what's bad about it?

Oh I was thinking about getting Harry Potter, what's bad about it?

It was an upres'd PSP version with blurry cutscenes and some tacked on touch controls for the duelling. If you want all of the trophies in that game, be prepared for a LOT of duelling club. Rather annoyingly, it loads slowly, and saves after each duel.

Felt my hands falling to sleep playing it.

I'm going to be annoyed if Lego Lord of the Rings Vita isn't the same as the PS3 version.

Anyone have either/both of these games and wants to comment? I'm considering getting a vita + 4 gb + one of those two games bundle.

The games are resistance and fifa soccer. I just recently played resistance 3 on ps 3 and thought it was pretty fun. Too bad no disgaea 3 or Gravity rush bundle...

Buying the bundle is about the same price as a normal discounted vita + a 4gb card, so the game is a "bonus".

If you like LEGO and/or HP I'm sure the Vita version would be cool to have, especially since you can get it for $19.99 in many stores now. Just don't compare it to the console or PC version... because you will definitely feel disappointed if you do.

It really depends. If you like soccer, go with Fifa. If not, go with Resistance.

Harry potter 5-7 on the ps3 is actually a legit good looking game, wonderful use of lighting, pathetic they ported the 3ds version

Aw yiss, love me some Astray. How playable is it for someone who doesn't know a lick of Japanese? I might pick up a copy before I leave China.

If you don't know any Japanese, it'll take a while to figure all the controls out. Other than that, its just trial and error for title and options screens. I only know some katakana words like "save", "load", "story", "mission", "free", etc. There is also toturials missions though explaning most of the controls.

Getting Gravity Rush from Amazon tomorrow, and might order a 32GB from Amazon finally since they're down to $80 now. Then I'll probably buy MGS on dd and start my dd movement from there.

But dat collection..

W00t W00t ! Just got out from Apple keynote. Impressive showing.

Yeah, I hope they localize the Gundam games for Vita also. I know a little Japanese from my college days. Still prefer the English version.

I'll definitely get Gravity Rush. Not so sure about MGS yet. Probably will get it also.

Getting a Vita very soon. Does sony ever have sales on Download only games, like MS does for XBLA games? If so, where do I look for upcoming deals?

I don't have a PS3, so I know nothing about PSN.

Thanks

Not near as frequently as I'd like. It'd convince me to go dd quicker if they did.

Okay, guys, I don't know about anyone else in the thread, but the stuff with PSN accounts on the Vita still throws me for a complete loop. Can anyone definitively confirm/deny the following:

  • To change PSN accounts, you HAVE to format the system memory. Can't get away with, say, copying downloaded content onto the Vita from a PS3 (my favorite method of digital content management on the PSP).
  • If you're doing the single memory card trick, all your downloaded content will function regardless of which PSN account is currently active, so you can, say, play a Japanese game with Japanese DLC earning trophies on an American PSN account.

Looking forward to finding new Vita owners starting tomorrow via near, with just GR in their Recently Played lists. But then I want to see those lists expand with other great existing and upcoming Vita games.

BTW I was listening to the PS Nation E3 2012 podcast yesterday before going to bed, and they said they had heard that PS1 support would be coming in july. It's not a confirmation but it's something.

It's pretty slim pickings on PSN for Vita-only consumers right now in my opinion. The Vita has had a few OK sales/price drops for EU, but nothing too amazing.

No. You don't need to format the memory card. I don't think you mean the system memory, as that does not include downloadable content. There is an extra prompt if you want to format the memory card. Just say no.

Memory card = Some save games, DLC, games, demos.
System mem = Wifi settings, what background images are selected, etc.

Downloadable content seems to be tied to the account. I don't know about add-ons, but you can't buy a game on your japanese account and play it on your american account.

I just want to drop in here to talk about how beautiful Wipeout is and how rewarding the gameplay is.

Just so so so good.

Just got Modnation Racer: Roadtrip from Best Buy (it was like twelve dollars), and boy is it ROUGH. Framerate is pretty abysmal and the levels just feel like they have no imagination. I played back to back with Mario Kart 7 and there's a massive difference in quality. I have to wonder why Sony even put this game out.

Seems that's the general feeling toward this game. Why did you buy it? My hope is that LittleBigKarting for Vita (when announced) will do a serviceable job.

Because it was cheap and I liked the PS3 game. I didn't expect it to be THIS bad.

I hope that LBP Karting will come out on Vita because at least as a game it looks WAY better.

Take it back to best buy! Trade in value is $22 right now. So you will actually net a profit on playing the game.

Just got a Wi-fi model with a 4 gig card and Tactics Orge, Hot Shots Gold, Mortal Kombat, Rayman: Origins, Disgaea 3, and Super Stardust Delta. Loving it so far. But this summer seems a little thin for games? Anything to look super forward to for the next 2-3 months?

Gotta make some money off of those PS3 assets.

Sounds like you've got plenty to tide you over. It also sounds like there's going to be a ton of downloadables coming between now and September.

I want the MGS Collection, but I already have Gravity Rush pre-ordered and I have yet to finish Resistance. Plus I want to try and go back to Uncharted to get all of the trophies, and not to mention I've been playing through Assassin's Creed 2 on the PS3. It's just so tempting to finally be able to play through MGS3 and I have horrible self control when it comes to buying games on a new system ;_; For a system that's supposedly starving for games, I'm drowning in them.

MGS collection, Gravity Rush, Persona 4 and Street Fighter x Tekken whenever that's released but those are my must haves.

Yup I feel the same way, I have gravity rush and MGS collection tomorrow but also am still playing hotshots, MK, Blazblue and UMVC. I also have to get back to uncharted and I wanna still pick up wipeout and lumines.

I think DJMax is pretty soon.

EDIT: Persona 4 is October.

Gravity Rush comes out tomorrow.

HOPEFULLY these games:

Sine Mora
Retro City Rampage
DJ Max Technika Tune

Those 3 games should be in everyone's collection once they arrive. If you have a 360, you can download a demo of Sine Mora to give yourself an idea of what to expect.

Super Stardust Delta may take over your life. Just a little warning lol :p

gungnir (hopefully compatible) & gravity rush tomorrow, & ragnarok odyssey in august? :) but check out gamestop's listings - this summer seems a little thin for games, period...

I'm going to wait for Gravity Rush to go on sale. It doesn't seem like there's a reason this generation to buy day one when shit goes on sale two weeks after launch.

The reason is software drought plus awesome as fuck looking game. This is the first day one I'll be getting since...Mass Effect 3? And that was only because I used trade ins to lower it to like 20 out of pocket. Just like I did with this one.

Thanks everyone. I know I have a lot to tide me over now, but I plan on gaming a lot this summer (and I like buying new games).

Edit: Also if anyone here wants to pm me their psn names I'll add you to get some gaming going :).

I only day-one niche Japanese titles and some Nintendo stuff (doesn't go down in price...). Everything else waits.

To show support for great games with original ideas, and also aren't a sequel to a sequel to a sequel?
