This is getting silly. Playing a proper control deck is going to be so hard when they are printing creatures like this that are guaranteed to give ridiculous value.

I have a G/W flicker deck that is....okay. It was looking for a bomb like this.
But really, you know what deck has been tearing it up? A monoblack sac/Blood Artist deck.

The G/W deck I built, when it fires, does an awesome job. But it's too swingy. I need to fix it up.

I have never felt it was a dead card. The only situation in which it's wholly useless is with board wipes. Well, at least in decks I've built with it. Four major uses - removal dodge, untagging surprise blockers, generating more counters/creatures and stealing shit permanently. All for 1 mana? Nah, it's the same as any card, in which there will be circumstances in which it's useless, but if you use it right, it's a pretty damn handy swiss army knife.

Yeah. I have a R/W deck that revolves around that, Act of Treason and Act of Aggression. Add in Resto Angel, O-Rings and some red burn and I built my very first non-linear deck!

I saw yours I thought in the forum, very similar to mine. I don't have enough money for those restoration angels though, can't seem to pull them in any packs

although, picking up 7 packs and getting a bonfire of the damned and an entreat the angels is a really good feel. Especially after my last time opening packs, I bought a fat pack, and didn't get a single mythic or even a holo (im a sucker for shiny cards)

I'm just bitter I didn't buy myself a playset while they were $2. :)

I opened my MTGO account so late in the Innistrad block...I have so many holes to fill. I'm *this* close to just pulling the trigger and placing a massive order of singles... :)
 
We've been getting a decent number of leaks now, and M13 releases July 13. When are official previews starting, next week or the week afterward?

Black ramp... dunno how I feel about this. Or maybe pushing for MBC?

I guess when RTR comes out with Basic duals, she'll be able to fetch... but by the time you 2BB it'll be too late

EDIT: She fits a very narrow niche, but one that's interesting to explore, so I'm interested. Probably the least versatile of the three Lilianas
 
Got to say, I'm getting severe Liliana, Garruk, Chandra and Jace fatigue. MTG offers unlimited possibilities. They need to spread out their imaginations a bit more. People wanted T-Bone to be good so very badly because he was new.
 
Her ultimate is awesome, but you have to remember that it's a turn 7 thing, and by that time you would have 7 swamps on board anyway... I guess it would be killer for X cost spells if you haven't died already?

For killing wave, it'll just be a free board sweep.
For death wind, it'll be free removal (not playable in standard imo)
For consume spirit, it's instant win (LOL)
 
Looks silly and niche, I like silly and niche.

Better than unmitigated tempo/card advantage.
 
Not every 4-mana planeswalker with be a new Jace TMS. I like it, it has a purpose and it seems to serve it well. I hope this means they're pushing MBC a bit more, perhaps even reprinting stuff like Mutilate and Tendrils of Corruption.
 
I love her in terms of deck thinning. The major problem with MBC is that it can't draw cards right now. She's also a slightly worse removal spell than Garruk Relentless sometimes is. Is Wizards okay with printing cards like Drain Life these days? Haven't seen one in a while.
