Apparently, Wipeout HD is free for US PS+ members right now.
Just checked, and this is true. It's not in the Plus section though. Have to search. But most should already have it for free from the Welcome Back program.

I wonder if PS+ members who downloaded Wipeout HD would get the Wipeout 2048 DLC for free, not that it matters to me though since I got HD/Fury from the Welcome Back program.Apparently, Wipeout HD is free for US PS+ members right now.

2 is by far the best, followed by 1, then 3. That's not to say 3 isn't a good game though.
Ended up buying all 3. Going to hit them chronologically.
Since I already own Wipeout I decided to check more PSN games and it turns out Critter Crunch and LBP Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves are also listed as free but not in the Plus section.

What the fuck?!
What is this? Some sort of treasure hunt or something?

Critter Crunch is listed as 6.99 I just checked (US store).

Ok, what do y'all want changed in the OP?
If they keep putting up images showing the monthly deals, like I see on SCEA's blog, that's easy enough to swap out occasionally. But, honestly, when you read the schedule of how they intend to change things, I'm not going to be able to keep up with both SCEE and SCEA's updates. Sorry, real life and kids to feed and all that.
I think Carl's description of the rotation for games is a good one to add. Anything else?
What's that?
On a slightly related note, is there a way to turn around in LBP2? I'm stuck in one of the "cupcakegun" levels, and it's the only thing I can think of to get past a certain obstacle.
Weird since it still shows up as free for me.

PS+ people got it for free at release. My elder son and I played through it completely.A small level pack of Move-focussed levels; it's on the LBP2 disc, but I assume not part of the DD version?

'turn around'? Can you describe a little more? Screenshot? I don't get what you mean.
Use the right stick to aim the 'cupcakegun'? Aim left and you'll face left. Aim right and you'll face right. What's that?

Me neither, but Critter Crunch and Sackboy are coming up as free. Already bought Critter Crunch shortly after release way before becoming a plus member.Hmm. Wipeout HD not showing up as free for me. :|
Is this just because you own it from the past or something? Same for those who saw Wipeout for free.
I ask this because I checked (US as well) and neither Wipeout or Critter Crunch is free for me, however, I get that same exact screen shown here when I click on Burn Zombie Burn which was part of PS+ last year.
That said there doesn't seem to be any consistency because out of that batch of freebies (which also had Costume Quest and Dead Nation) clicking on those does not take to me a similar screen.
Only thing I can figure is a few games from past PS+ that we already own randomly have this screen, as Wipeout, Critter Crunch, Prehistoric moves, and BZB were all past PS+ offerings. Would make sense for me to not see Crunch and Wipeout as I was not a PS+ member when those were free.
I'm pretty sure the Sackboy Move game has always been free for Plus. I guess they just stopped advertising it.
Could be however Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves also showed up for me and that I didn't own.

Well this is all incredibly confusing.
Also, Europe Vita sale (detailed at http://neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=479078 ) will include some extra discounts for PS+ members. Details on which games will get extra discounts coming soon
If they put a PS+ discount on unit 13, plus the £5 off with joining the Vita newsletter then i will be a very happy man![]()
considering one of the games with the PLUS discount is Unit 13!
That's exactly what it means. Anything with a blue symbol means it's currently sititng in your cart. And the red bag means you "purchased" it before, whether through psn plus or otherwise. It's free because you already "purchased" it before and can be downloaded at any time. That's why the price shows $6.99 on the screen that was posted, that's the price but you already "purchased" it.
We're not really talking about that specifically. If you look at the screen shot that was linked for Critter Crunch it has the free tag as a purchase below the normal purchase.
That screen pops up after you click on the game inside the store. What's weird about it is that not every game takes you to a screen like that. In my case the only game that did was Burn Zombie Burn, but other PS+ games just took me to the normal screen with the info blurb on the right and the option to buy it on the left of the screen.
Heck, I went and checked all the current PS+ freebies and they don't take you to a screen like that either. This is a case of PSN store being weird.
Critter Crunch and Wipeout HD have always been odd like that, they show up as free but only to the people that already own them.
I doubt it, what with the extra discount there
I stand corrected
Heh, sorry for causing all of this fuss then. Someone tweeted that Wipeout was free with a pic, so i thought you'd all want to know.
Is it free in EU as well? I already have it, but my friend would be interested in it.
LOL I didnt expect it to be one of them either, was just being greedy
Great news though, now does that mean it will be £1.99 off i take it? If so than that should mean Unit 13 for £13 (LOL), sounds great to me![]()
Someone in the comments said:How will the PS+ discount work with the Inside PS Vita discount, will they be stacked (i.e. £14.99 and then 10% off with plus) or will it just be the lowest price of the two which would be the Inside PS Vita price.
Andy Stewart said:I am trying to get confirmation on this however I don’t believe they stack and you will just get the cheapest price out of the two. However if they do stack then even better!
At this rate I might as well just give Unit 13 away… (that is a joke, I would not give such a good game befoer you guys get any ideas )
No, doesn't seem to be
Heh
To be expected i suppose
Apparently, Wipeout HD is free for US PS+ members right now.
Just read that too, but in my experience i would hope it would stack considering how PS+ works since its just considered the base price with PS+ deals.
Although saying that, they might do it like the £5 discount for pre-ordering the Vita, once you use the code the base price converts to the discounted price and then they take away the PS+ discount?!
Here's hoping![]()
No, doesn't seem to be
Pretty noob question. I just subscribed to the service, and it says I have to download the game to keep the game for free. Does that mean I have to press the download button, or do I have to wait for each game to download completely on my console?
Even if you have no interest in playing a game that's listed free for PSPlus, it's a good idea to "purchase" it. You don't have to download it, but down the road if you change your mind it'll still be free.

I have a bit of a noob question, but if I let my subscription lapse for a month or so, if I was to resubscribe would I be able to redownload my cloud saves?
