It looks nice, but it would be a $400 set. I think the most expensive set they've made for the Prequel Trilogy is the Darth Maul Bust at $150:

That is one of the most vile things I've ever seen.
So, after driving 1400 miles in three days, I am back home and exhausted. But what was the first thing I did? Open up the Death Star. Four smaller boxes within the big box (sorry, Dr. Forrester, I will not be mixing them), and a comically huge instruction manual.
I just drove 13 hours straight, but I am starting this beast tonight!

WEAKNESS!
Mix The Fucking Bags Will YouMTFBWY
I am too tired to mix them, but too impatient to wait to start building. Doing it by box and bags makes it easier to clean up so kitties dont mess with things.
Right now I am just trying to filter out all the mini figure pieces. So many figures...so many...
Tasted pretty weird. We ate most of him & kept the head, bagging it & putting it in the freezer lol.
Not many people have been talking about the Minecraff set. I preordered it ages ago and it came today. Thought it was pretty cool. Have some shots on my photobucket of me building it. http://photobucket.com/minecraft-lego-set-trinest
There was a good number of posts when it first came out. General consensus was good for the theme, not so good for the price per piece.
I think shipping wrecks the price. I would of been happy with the $35 or what ever its normal price is before shipping.
I think one of the big gripes was regarding the fact that all the pieces were small. When you look at a set like Death Star or Super Star Destroyer, the ppp something like $0.07-0.10/piece. But that includes minifigs, large/rare pieces, etc. Minecraft is an ok ppp, but it lacks anything noteworthy to have a ppp similar to most every other System or Technic set.
SSD still hurts on the PPB. 12.690c a brick.
Death Star is a better deal and more acceptable at least. 10.518c a brick.
But I will agree that both make up for it with larger pieces and rare ones as well. And with Death Star, especially in mini figs.
Also, it's displayability. The thing is just beast. When we have parties, all of our guests take it down and play with it. It's so damn cool.

On May 4th, 2009 was our last day with our precious boy. He spend the day doing everything he loved. Mitchell and Cole started the morning off digging outside for treasure. Then the playground for awhile. We went to storytime at the Heritage Center. He loved the popcorn they would always give to him. We went home and had lunch togther on the porch. He wanted a ham and cheese sandwich, grapes, doritos, but best of all he wanted to eat all of his dad's chocolate covered gummy bears. Him and Mitchell giggled as they ate them. They thought how funny it would be when dad came home and the would be gone. After lunch, they played Tony Hawk for awhile and then we read. We went back outside after picking Meily up from school. The kids were having the time of their lifes with their friends. Cole, Mitchell and Cameron were trying to climb the tree. Coco made it. He was so excited to make it up the tree. It was the first time he had been able to climb it. He did it several times. Daddy came home and Cole yelled for dad to come and see him. He was up high in the tree. Matt teased with him for a few minutes and Cole jumped into his Dad's arms. Coco and Mitchy then went to retrieve their scooters from the playground area. A few minutes later our angel took his "One last ride on his Scooter". Tradically he was run over by a young girl as he was riding his scooter on the sidewalk. We are blessed that he went from his daddy's arms right to Heavenly Father's arm almost instantly. Our baby didn't have to suffer for long. We all miss him more than words can say. He was our sweetest little guy, Mommy's biggest helper, and Daddy's big boy. Mommy misses his thumb's up everyday. Coco was our little peacemaker. He loved everyone he knew. He always gave hugs and kisses when we had to tell someone good-bye.
Ok, I need to stop thinking about that horrible story.
I had no idea this was a thing! Does anybody know when these things usually go on sale, and what outlets carry them?

EDIT: Sold out, but keep watch! Amazon restocks all the time. It's random, but you'll nab one eventually.
EDIT 2: The online LEGO store also has them in stock now! No excuse not to buy it!

I think that set has been canceled, unfortunately. Little blurb about it HERE.
What page is that? I'm putting mine together now and I'm curious if my manual's the same. This is from the Fire Brigade and in several pages the number was missing for some pieces. Are your manuals for this set like this?
Maybe this is the next step for making things more challenging/for building to last longer: Not only all bags must be mixed, but we are hiding the # of pieces as well! P

Huh. Yeah, I just finished putting together the first book and there weren't any missing numbers at all.I had that in several pages of the first book. If your manual is the same it's very easy to tell.
well I don't really know how reliable they are but you can order this here (germany)

(release 1. october) the text says that this calendar will be extremely limited

The Advent Calendars come out 1st September. Same time every year.
Or wait till January and LEGO Store has them 50% off.![]()
I had a moment of realization last Monday, when I came into work and found some of my LEGO sets in disarray. This makes me want to pull my hair out and curl up in the fetal position. No one touches my Lego; not my girlfriend, not my family - no one. It's one of the few things I'm very OCD about.
It would also make it a lot easier to justify the purchase of a SW Advent Calendar for my grown-ass self.
See, I want the SSD for the displayability. I was so glad to finally see a constructed one when I was at the Lego store. I was debating between the SSD and the Death Star, but the age of the Death Star is what pushed me to it, and the ppb. Well, and the insane amount of minifigs that came with it. I think that is the thing I was a complete sucker for. The SSD just looks so fucking intimidating when together. It is just so massive. Definitely a "man set."
However, now that I am partway done with the Death Star, my wife is getting excited about it. The sets with all the little flourishes and play areas she finds really fun and neat to display.
I still havent figured out where to put the Death Star once I am finished with it. The area I thought it would fit is actually a few inches too small to hold it. I might have to take down the Imperial Shuttle and tear it down.Well, I have time.
Now onto more Death Star building!
Huh. Yeah, I just finished putting together the first book and there weren't any missing numbers at all.
Weird.
I had the same in my FB bookHas any of you come across a manual like this?

Knowing Lego fans, you might actually be right.Yay, collectible version! P
