I mean, Pokémon is still a DS game. We all expected something more, but we cannot say anything negative about such performance. I don't remember DQVII and FFIX to boost PS2 sales.

Maybe the Pokèmon effect will be a long term one, with sensible better sales every week, but I'm not believing it so much. Dragon Quest is AMAZING. It seems so much FFIII DS.

I think i saw some prediction where someone predicted that the DS would get a noticeable bump, maybe even selling more than the Vita. Seeing the DS hardware numbers, i wonder if this is old stock and that Nintendo have completely stopped shipping out more DS hardware.

It was very strange timing for such an announcement. But I guess if you waited until after B&W2's launch you would have a bunch of new 3DS owners with buyers remorse.

Well the 3DS apps were made to encourage 3DS sales. But it seems most people are content to play on whichever DS system they already own. Or they are waiting for the 3DS LL. Anyway, it's a bit surprising to me that 3DS received such a small bump.
