That first half went incredibly fast. Portugal had some very solid chances.. I was impressed. Hard to believe that Spain had more shots and the only SOG -- seemed like they were completely overwhelmed numerous times. If the back 4 doesn't play better, a Portugal goal seems likely at some point.

They have a good chance of doing that if they can keep up their pressure. Their approach to the game is quite intelligent compared to other teams that Spain have played. Spain look vulnerable and without their normal flow. Silva and Negredo have been almost invisible and should be replaced if Spain wants to win this game.
 
Portugal playing much more interesting looking football imo. I reckon Spain will still take this though, they have the ability to make every chance look dangerous.
 
Portugal doing well so far and Spain need to get Fabregas on. That extra midfielder would really help them control the game a lot better.

Glad to see a team go out and not sit back against Spain though. It's making for a very exciting game, the first half has just flew by.
 
Spain defintly switched up their style, isn't working to wel though. Portugal looking agressive but being sloppy. And the horrible ref isn't helping to. Hope this isn't going to penaltys

Another midfielder is what exactly spain dosn't need.

Maybe not overwhelmed but really pressured. They need to get in the offense soon.
Portugal have played great so far, Spain needs to get their rhythm back if they wanna win this.
 
Silva and Negredo did absolutely nothing in the first half.

Spain could do with some proper width in this team.

Portugal got the better of the Spanish midfield and as a result have completely isolated Negredo.
 
Iniesta has been stylin' today. It's scary how good he is.

Loving how all the fans were whistling when Spain had possession.

Also impressed by the possession that Portugal had. They have to keep that up and break up the flow of the Spanish team.

Also fuck the ref.

Why? There is a reason only Iniesta and Silva looked dangerous in the first half. Spain need someone for them two to link up with and Fabregas can do that. Torres is just not reliable enough and Llorente I wouldn't risk it. Sub Fab on see how it goes, if nothing put Torres on for Alonso and let Fabregas drop back.
 
Hopefully Portugal don't tire and let Spain take control of the game. It's been enjoyable so far.

Oh, Negredo is rubbish.
