Aside from Maldonado, Alonso or Vettel I'd be happy with anyone winning this year.

I do like Vettel and Alonso, but I feel it would be better to see others win this years championship.

Alonso needs to win another championship. He is the best driver on the grid, he deserves it!

Wait...the calling off the wedding thing was it for his previous girlfriend or for Jessica? Cause if he did that to Jessica I will hate him forever..... FOREVER!

While I'm rooting for vettel because of following his career for about 6 years now, I think it would be way more fun for Webber to win.

Don't tell the Aussies though.

We're listening.

Given he celebrates a win like no other (see: Monaco) I'd love to see what he'd do if he won a WDC. Probably streak naked down pit lane or something.

I just really dislike him. His drives in Australia and Barcelona were really good performances, but after incidents like Spa last year, it's difficult for me to like him.

Everything about him makes me want to punch him in the face. No good performance could change that.

How many people actually liked shumi as a person during his ferrari days?

he drove in to someone to win the championship and has a history of doing a lot of bad things.

Shumi was a ruthless winner, but he was magnificent from the moment he stepped into that Jordan. Maldonado seems to do silly things just for the sake of being silly.

He'd probably yell F*#k you to Dietrich Mateschitz and quit F1.

I found this gem of a video and it's topical considering this weekend is The Goodwood Festival of Speed. It is Nick Heidfeld driving the McLaren MP4/14 up Goodwood setting the record:

It's an awesome video too.

if thats not fake, i will eat my face
It's being reported on Sky News at the moment, the plans suggest a 3-mile route with stands for around 120,000 people passing landmarks including Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square.

Sky News said:
Ecclestone, who has long harboured hopes of holding a race in the capital, said: "With the way things are, maybe we would front it and put the money up for it. If we got the okay and everything was fine, I think we could do that...It would be fantastic, good for London, good for England - a lot better than the Olympics."

Plans for a London Grand Prix are set to be unveiled at the Royal Automobile Club on Pall Mall on Thursday night.

A four-minute video will highlight the proposed route, with Button and Hamilton then scheduled to go head to head around the track in a 3D CGI simulator.
Kinda hope they show the Button/Hamilton race :D

There is a chance it's a publciity stunt by Santander to help generate interest for the proposal, but the unveiling tonight by Jenson and Lewis most certainly is not fake. It's been hyped by their twitter over the last few days, amazed no one here has picked up on it.

Eat your face for me please.

London Grand Prix? Nothing's impossible. But scepticism required. Plans referred to today are a PR stunt for one of McLaren's sponsors

London GP won't happen. Bernie trots the idea out every couple of years, but in reality it would be an utter logistical nightmare. He's wheeled out the idea again to divert attention from the Gribkowsky tax evasion court case he's been implicated in, just finished yesterday in Germany.

During the case Gribkowsky admitted that allegations that the money he had received from Ecclestone were bribes were "essentially true". Whilst it remains to be seen whether the German prosecuters will go after Mr E, it would look bad if they didn't given the current climate.

Bernie appeared as a witness in the trial and his answers posed more questions, piquing the interest of the British tax people...

He's a master of pulling the strings of the media and burying bad news; so a good news story about a new GP in London bringing in money to the British economy on the same day it turns out he might owe that same economy quite a bit... coincidence?!

Q "oh phillip, what is that infernal racket"

P "it will be the nazis again gosh darn it liz"

Q "ones corgis have soiled the royal carpets, off with their heads"

Yeah, I doubt it to be true. If all that was going to happen, then why all the talk about alternating tracks that aren't raking in as much money like Melbourne/Syd and Spa/that French one? Paul Ricard?

Prince Philip: "Ahhh yes, Vettel that young nazi boy".

I'd love for it to happen, can't believe they'd be able to hold a race though. I was expecting a procession or something.
Any bank holidays coming up? Hold it on the Sat Sun Mon, although there'd still be the construction/tear down days.

The only feasible way to do it is the way the 'New York' GP is being organised - ie not being held in New York itself, but with the city as a backdrop.

Fact is, there's a long agreement with Silverstone to hold the race now that it's a world class track, and having two races per season in a country generally doesn't work Barcelona/Valencia and Nurburgring/Hockenheim. I remain to be convinced with the two new US races, but the geographic spread may be wide enough to ensure it does.
