Yeah - this part is worrying me a little. I'll need a true info/media blowout to regain interest in this.It would've been nice to see something that we haven't already seen before...
I don't know how I feel about preordering a VIP now I've seen what happened with both FM3 AND 4. Preorder to get one car, then find you can buy all four (or whatever) for pretty much the same or less than the difference b/w the regular and VIP ones.
Fuck that.
Or when a preorder bonus was just a keyring and not actual game content? Yeah, I remember that. Long fucking time ago, though :/Agreed. Fuck LCEs and the bullshit elitist wallet-raping philosophy behind them. I've been fooled into having buyer's remorse too many times.
Remember when we used to pay for a game and, like, actually get the full game?
Ah... Good times.
Or when a preorder bonus was just a keyring and not actual game content? Yeah, I remember that. Long fucking time ago, though :/
Operative word being "just". Was that for FM3? I can't remember...![]()
Alive and Kicking
I have no problem with the initial preorder bonus being a singular thing, but breaking it off as different bonuses for different stores THEN putting them all up in one pack for everyone to download is bullshit. Offer all preorders the same cars and inform people that for plebs it will be available later and be more expensive, or don't do in-game preorder shit at all.Three editions of Forza Motorsport 3 have been released: Standard and Limited Edition and a later Ultimate Collection. The Limited Edition consists of[14] a Forza branded USB stick; a Forza branded key chain, a VIP Membership for use on the online Auction House and Community Storefront; an exclusive car pack of five cars[15] and a Forza Motorsport 3 theme for the Xbox 360 dashboard.
In September 2009, Microsoft announced a special limited edition Xbox 360 console for Forza Motorsport 3. The unit includes a 250GB hard drive, two wireless controllers, a wired headset, and the standard edition version of the game.[16]
In October, 2010, an Ultimate Collection version was released, which includes all DLC along with several new cars including the Plymouth 'Cuda, Jaguar D-Type, Lancia 037, and Porsche 550.[17]. Also included was an exclusive DLC pack titled "Stigs Garage Car Pack" which included the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, the Koenigsegg CCX, and the Lexus LFA. This pack was exclusive to the Ultimate Collection and angered many fans who had bought the game at launch and the DLC and were now excluded from having the new cars.[18]

Oh, wait!
I love the way games are sold as having "additional content", as if that content only ever existed as a bonus to people willing to either pay for the game in good faith before its even finished or reviewed (the "pre-order"), or pay over the odds for a Limited Edition (and by "limited" they usually mean one less than infinity, as these versions are invariably still available for sale two years later).
Why not tell the truth and say "we cherry-picked the best parts from the finished game, stripped them out and expect you to pay extra for them if you want them back in again".
Developers must think we are fucking stupid. And we usually are.
It's such bullshit. Makes me VERY angry.
I feel enlightenment when paying for extra content.
I am at peace.
You must surrender your will in order to understand it all.
The Leader is good. The Leader is great.
I love you Leader..

Guilty as charged. But I'm not alone, I know a lot of you guys have too. Lest they wouldn't keep doing this, right?

I know not everyone will agree, but this is pretty awesome. I love the Sneaker Pimps and it makes me hope for some good Trip Hop in Horizon.
so your avatar is what happened to your ex? lol
Real action, simulastisches ride
For everything you do, there's "Forza Horizon" points: For drifting, if you ramming an opponent of the line or break through a fence to take a shortcut. Almost always pops up a little yellow number at the height of the rear-view mirror to unlock cars and new fields. And how it rides? Breathe "Forza" fans can, for "Forza" is "Forza". We turn off all driving aids, the Viper feels really snappy on, we must be careful that the tail does not break and commute the car again. Even the underbody makes big difference, since "Forza Horizon" is a fully dynamic weather system brings. Decide we become a shortcut through the desert and it starts to rain, the fine grains in the thick mud ever locked the wheels and allows us to be much slower.
Once reset, please
"Forza Horizon" plays a lot with the weather in general and its surroundings. We want an opponent in the Mercedes SLR McLaren 722 can overtake that briefly spin the wheels on sand swirls and blows us the seeds on the windshield. It quickly developed a great momentum, because the desert, finally, not a closed course and not really tight, ergo, we drive the enemy extensively overhaul and not directly head-to-head. If you lose control completely, and sometimes crashed into a tree crashing into a house, or kissing the guardrail, flashing a "Y Rewind" button. So you can rewind time and iron out the error once.
The Fast and the Furious. Action and Party
In terms of staging is the new developer Playgrounds Games at full throttle. The British care little change to "Forza" conventions and "Horizon," a David Guetta more in concert than a boring race simulation. At night, DJs spin and swing their hips and slams hot ladies on the day groovy sound from the speakers as it is otherwise rather of "Need for Speed 'are used to. Even the cars look a bit more stylish, can be tuned with underbody lighting and chrome fixtures. Whether a nitrous oxide injection has been provided but not yet revealed, but as our Viper SRT had a red button on the steering wheel NOS is likely that "The Fast and the Furious" feature considered to be confirmed. The eponymous "Horizon" festival as a whole played very consistent and prevents you must you click through menus as usual. Instead, you look with your car, at the Tuner next time just to raise over thicker rims and racing at PR events for Porsche to win send a new base.
Conclusion
Do not worry love racing purist: The original developer Turn 10 is working on "Forza Motorsport 5" needs, but a little more time. Therefore, this party speedster is inserted, but has made us really, really happy. Microsoft has compiled with the Playground Games is a dream team from the former studio Bizarre Creation (PGR, Blur), Black Rock Studio (Split / Second), and many designers from Codemasters, which conjured up before with "Grid" and "dirt" amazing racing games on the asphalt have. The love of racing you can feel the ride is clearly tuned for authenticity and "Horizon" to continue a "Forza" simulation. But just one that makes noise, and parties celebrating the pop-alternative sound with 300 cases out of the speakers can.

Talks about some of the game features.
No, the handling model is Forza 4, it's exactly the same as that.
Turn 10: "realism doesn't always make fun"
...
In an open world game, you're really flying around corners at higher speeds generally, because you're not in that cadence of braking and turning. We needed to make sure that we greased the rails, so to speak, and just let you glide along. That keeps you on the road a little bit more.
...
The surfaces feel right but the cars would probably be destroyed in real life, but we let you have fun with that. Realism doesn't always make fun - authenticity is important but so is fun.
So its authentic, but not realistic? Hopefully this is just in relation to some of the crazier surfaces? Not sure what to think here.
If that's all they mean I'm fine with that. As long as the physics model is solid. What I really want is Forza open world, not Forza arcade open world. You can always enable assists to make Forza more forgiving as it is.There's just cosmetic damage, you won't have your cars ruined by driving on surfaces they're not made for.
