Didn't know where to post this, but apparently a La-Mulana promotional video with release date is being released tomorrow:

Look a couple of posts above yours, haha.

Anyone tried trading yet? Do you actually lose the card you give to the other person? Because the cards say x1 and you can buy multiples from the card store (with play coins).

And how exactly does Streetpass work with this?

Gah, I wish that there was a way to switch to another shop region, since I really don't want to buy the NA version of Mario Open Golf.

I wonder if we'll get getting the M&S card game in North America today, anyway ... we've had eShop releases with no fanfare before, and given that Sega is publishing M&S in North America, I'd half expect THEM to be the ones to not bother mentioning it...

Err.. what version did you WANT?

Everybody should buy Sakura Samurai. If you like Punch Out, then you should have bought it for a while.

And I don't understand why Europe receives Theatrhytm DLC and Americas don't.

It's pretty obvious as of last year that NoE is superior to NoA for the first time. It makes me sad, but Europe has been screwed pretty bad before then, so I guess it's ok.

Sakura Samurai is awesome and totally worth the full price if you ask me. Now it's the best time to get it.

And what's this M&S card thing? An actual TCG on 3DS? I want it!

but... but... North America *did* get the Theatrhythm DLC! T_T

*pulls hair out*

What?! Really? What about the EU version?
I think that one's identical to the US version. I grew up with the JP version so I was rather surprised that the US version was so different in content.

From Wikipedia:
NES Open Tournament Golf is often thought to be nearly identical to the Famicom version Mario's Open Golf based on the fact that they both feature identical graphics and gameplay. However there are many differences between the two games. For starters, Mario's Open Golf featured five playable courses whereas NES Open Tournament Golf only featured three. The background music between both games also differed, with the exception of few tracks that were used in both games.

The Famicom version, Mario's Open Golf is significantly more difficult than the NES version. Most of the holes seen in Mario's Open Golf are not in NES Open Tournament Golf, though there are a few holes that exist in both versions without any modifications. If someone plays Mario's Open Golf they will notice a handful of holes that look nearly identical the holes in NES Open Tournament Golf, but with more obstacles. It is likely that some of these obstacles were removed from the western release of the game to make it less difficult.

This is one of the few instances where a NES and Famicom versions of a game have varied so dramatically. Though these games both run on the same engine, mostly everything else is different. NES Open Tournament Golf feels more like a sequel as its release added many new features, such as the ability to earn prize money, which gave the game a lot of replay value.

Damn, they've actually improved performance some more for MARVEL PINBALL after ZEN Pinball, wihile also putting AA in. Image's quality benefits a lot from whatever anti-aliasing solution they've adopted. This is probably the best that ZEN Studios' work will ever look on 3DS, considering they'll never make the switch to 60fps

Mutant Mudds demo was great, it has become a definitive must buy. I'll keep it on my wishlist for now, there are other games to complete before getting around it.

Definitely biting on Sakura Samurai, I've been holding on to $6 on the eShop since December and this seems like the right price. I was hoping Mutant Mudds or Mighty Switch Force would go on sale first but whatever, I'm sure I'll pick them all up eventually

EU Letter Box (Swap Note) got an update. Can't tell what it's changed though, if anything.

It's been discussed in the swapnote thread. It adds the option to choose coloured pencils. You'll need to change the colours by pressing right or left on the d-pad :)

When you trade you lose the card you trade to the other person, and when you streetpass you get a random card from the other person's collection for free. Even if they have cards you don't have you can still get a card you already have.

No it's a collectable card album, it isn't a game.

Nice. Excited to try out the Heroes of Ruin demo, since we've been looking for more co-op games to play and everyone seems to be on edge about the title.

Not sure about Sakura Samurai, even for $4.99. Reviews are not terrible, but it just looks a bit bland. Opinions?

It's disapointing as the random henchmen aren't varied enough, but production values and boss fights really help the package hold up nicely.

Hard Mode and the 100-man challenge are also cool. I can't fully recommend it because the core game part isn't that great, which is dissapointing, because it could've been so much better, but if you got money to spare and are interested I say go for it. Especially with the discount.

Nice, thanks. The manual wasn't clear on it at all.

Wow, with Rock N' Roll Climber, the Nintendo QA must have been on vacation. The game feels just so unfinished.

Examples:
- Legs can be moved in ways that look just absolutely unhealthy
- You cannot really control your legs
- You can fall through mountains (mountains composed of solid rock?)
- Controls in general feel rubbish

Nintendo must have noticed the same as they kept the title in their cupboard for half a year, despite it being finished.

Rock N' Roll Climber and You, Me & the Cubes should not be bought on WiiWare.

The opportunity for discounts won't be buying through the eShop, it'll be buying digital codes at retailers

Indeed, nobody in their sane mind should expect the eShop to be the cheapest place to get the digital version of a 3DS retail game. Retailers (specially online ones) are the place to go.

Yeah, I expect the direct eShop download to be more of an "If all else fails" option.

After updating Ice Climbers on my JAP 3DS I noticed that it featured download play for local co-op multiplayer, I didn't expect that!

I just can't believe this.

Two 3DS Virtual Console games. (Granted they don't count since I already have them :P)
Two 3DS original games.
And a demo.

In North America.

How is this possible? I just...don't get it. Whatever it is I hope it continues this month and the rest of time. I'm actually shocked we are getting anything besides VC for the entire month lol.

Been thinking about HoR and this demo should be great. I need to look up what kinda online it has.

woah, really? :O Thats awesome.

Nice on NES games getting download play.

Also noticed, NSMB2 got its price removed from the eShop. Nintendo having second thoughts, maybe?

It's download play so you don't need to buy it on a second 3DS.

Very, very nice. I don't feel so bad about Virtual Console releases being NES titles only now some weeks.

Now I hope they're thinking about adding Super Game Boy support for Game Boy titles.

So I'm sure this has been answered a few times, but do games purchased on the Wii VC (Example: The Legend of Zelda) have to be purchased again on the 3DS? Or is Nintendo going the Sony route and it works across all systems? Most of the games released I got with the ambassador so I haven't checked.

Awesome about NES download play. Now just actually update Balloon Fight since it's the only one I'll want to play multiplayer with

Edit to above: nope, no sharing you have to rebuy. Yes it's awful

Download play was announced for the full VC versions of NES games a really long time ago. This is just the first game to get it.

I don't think that's the case at all. Do you have a link?

http://ds.ign.com/articles/118/1184729p1.html

From almost a year ago. I can't find the exact statement about download play (though it can be inferred from this because how else would that work?) but I do recall Iwata said something about it. It doesn't seem to be in an IR statement so maybe it was a Nintendo Direct from last year. I'm not sorting through those at work though.

Also note Download play is specifically for multiplayer, other games aren't getting it as far as I know.
