Pet theme?

Pet theme!

These are my Australian shepards, stuck at home while I'm at college :/ I love going home so I can see these guys.

(Click to embiggen, they're kind of terrible photos though so it won't really make a difference)

Max; the rescue dog. He and I have an interesting history. He was beat by a previous owner and hated teen males (which I happened to be at the time we adopted him.) Any time I'd walk downstairs to the kitchen he'd corner me, growl, and try to shred the skin off of my calves. Fortunately, he has learned that we love him and he is seriously the most loving and loyal dog I've had.

This is my real buddy though, Ruby. She's an Australian mini, but she weighs 45 pounds O_o. Got her as a puppy and I've watched her evolve from adorable little puppy to fat, lazy, cranky woman. She likes to eat and scratch her butt and bark at Max. She doesn't really love anything and is loyal only to her belly. She generally likes the family, hates my sister, I would say loves me the most. My parents say they almost never see her 'smile' until I come back. I'll have to try to find a picture of her smiling, its scary as hell because she bares her teeth but she is honestly just trying to greet people. Would never bite somebody in a million years.

This is me loving on her

My cat passed away about ten months ago, but

He was dirty, expensive, and required a lot of care. He divebombed on my stomach on my days off to wake me up and basically ensured that any attempt at homework or writing would end with him on top of my keyboard. My laptop probably had more cat hair in it than electronics.

He was also my best friend. He wasn't a burden, he was there for me as much as I was there for him. When I felt most alone, he slept next to me every night. From when he was a kitten riding around in my hoodie front pocket to when he was an adult, he always knew when I needed something to be there for me.

When he had to be put down (which was the only choice versus a terminal disease affecting his kidneys) and was laying at that table, looking up at me and purring as he fell asleep, I was happy that he no longer had to suffer. I went back to my car, unlocked the door, put the key in...and just thought about how we never broke eye contact in those last few seconds before he died. I don't cry often, but I lost my best friend.

Burden or not, a pet is more than just a series of chores to keep them alive.

You and me have different standards about what love and friendship relation is and why an unselfaware living being reacts to an external stimulus.
Feelings are things that cannot be questioned or discussed so nothing to say, so sorry I hope you get it over

That is a fucked up thing to say to someone talking about how their best friend died.

you've never had a pet, have you?

I just hit on them. All the straight girls just think it's funny. Problem is, they're all straight.

I'm not sure why I'm reminded of this, but: one of my friends went on a date with another woman that was ostensibly a bisexual. They went to a bar, and apparently the other spent the whole time giggling and saying things like "tee hee, we're lesbians!".

I totally thought this was a box of condoms at first.

Not exactly the most emotive of pets.

Yes those on my own, but that doesn't mean sometimes already have to take care of my cousins dogs or have ever played with someone others pets like cats but I insist I'm not questioning how he feels, just different standards.

That sounds like a really horrible date.

Is that you with your dog hawkian?
Nah, a dog named Bess that I cared for while volunteering in Scotland.

I had a puppy, now in the custody of my ex-fiance. She was literally the cutest thing that has ever existed.

I have all these memories with her but I still find it so difficult to believe she was a real creature and not a stuffed animal or something.

Now it's just me and my big black cat. He hates sitting still for pictures but I have one of the two of them together...

Yes. Too much giggling, not enough face (etc) sucking for my friend.

I'm not really one for face sucking, personally, but it just sounds like she was going on the date for the novelty of it, versus actually looking for a connection.

Lol preach it.

It's like every girl I ask out is totes straight. Compensates when those fresh outta high school girls want to experiment.

I'm more into older women and men. I think I've only once had a crush on someone younger than me. I'm open but it just doesn't happen that much.

They both look kind of like a border collie.

lol

You're right. That thing is pretty damn cute.

Kind of sad really you never got to keep it.

*realizes she's never really kissed someone and is the most awkward person ever*

I have this realization a lot. It doesn't affect me if I just hide in my room and never try to date any girls wooo!

I know lots of people who got dogs together while they were in relationships and had to share custody when they broke up. I'd make sure to buy the dog myself and keep its registration and all of its expenses in my name.

Yeah. I think I would as well. You become so attached to dogs, I would hate it if I lost my dog in that way. They're like a part of your family.

Kissing isn't all that amazing, personally. Cute little chaste kisses with a little lip biting thrown in are way better than heavy make out sessions, imo. I'd much rather we were kissing other areas, anyways.

Welp, off to work now.

Ah, yeah... bought the dog myself, had her registration in my name and paid for all her expenses. But I was the one initiating the breakup, and it was my ex's idea to get a dog at all in the first place, so I let her make the decision of where the pup would end up, and she couldn't bear to part with her. Sharing custody was not an option as she now lives in Wisconsin, but I don't think I could have tolerated that anyway. So I said goodbye :'/

I kind of know what you mean actually. There is more tenderness to it. Heavy make out sessions looks like two people sucking each other's face off. lol

Yeah. Are you thinking of getting another dog?

Just out of curiosity (attempting to, you know, distance myself from these obvious horndogs), what specifically in the TOS would disallow you from discussing that? o.O
I don't think one is allowed to give that kind of details. I don't think Google likes them.

Sometimes it ende disappointingly but sometimes they bring the kind of enthusiasm you'd expect from dem cute youngsters.

Dear god, please don't make it a competition people... Pets are pets. I've had both dogs and cats and I personally like cats more but I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Its always the dog people... ALWAYS!! >:(
