I thought it was no longer theoretical?
As far as I understand it it is still theoretical, they just have a lot of evidence for it now. It still lacking the scientific green light which will take months of collating data from different places to then confirm the results.

Is there a thread for asking for medicinal opinions and such? Or is it just "go see a doctor" every time? :)
Most professional doctors wouldn't be comfortable with giving advice over the internet based off vague descriptions. They often need to poke and squeeze a bit to make a proper diagnosis. It's also difficult to tell who is an expert from someone who just did a quick Google search. In many cases you would end up with today's Married to the Sea comic.

In your case it would cost you 150 sek ($22) to visit a doctor. Once you reach 900 sek (IIRC) per year for healthcare and prescribed medication, the rest will be completely free of charge.

Good points. I'll have to look into that. I'm having some nose congestion at night and I hope it's because of something as "trivial" as some form of allergy and not something worse :S

Compared to just talking into the camera I'm using for recordings.

It will be for commentating on my videos. Like reviews, guides etc on YouTube.
Yes then it would be a great investment. I'd google around a little for reviews if I were you. I think I've seen a review on the microphone you linked earlier and the verdict was really positive.

The microphone I linked to where just accidentally one I stumbled upon, as Amazon recommended it to me, so I'll be looking around. Thanks for your help. :)

Is there any advantage health wise to me buying cold deli meat (Ham, roast beef) and other sandwich materials over just getting a McDonalds fried chicken sandwich, also with said vegetables? I only ask, because I don't think going from fried chicken to ham and roast beef is really a healthy trade off.

I hope the answer is yes. It would save me a lot of money to make sandwiches rather than buy them.

Are you seriously wondering whether some fried shit with weak veggies from the McDonalds is healthier than a simple delicious ham sandwich?

I have been told many times that ham and roast beef are not suitable alternatives.

I have tried turkey and chicken deli meat, but I don't find it incredibly filling. Those would obviously be the preferred choices...

That is probably the most likely explanation. Given the amount of allergens in our modern environment i.e. food, pollution, modern homes etc it is no wonder there is such a rise in allergy related conditions amongst the general populace.

Do you have any other symptoms?

I've got a Lenovo X220i. The "c" key has broke off. I've still got the key itself but the hinge below has broke in two. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement? I've seen replacement hinges but no hinge :(

Yeah, my mom is allergic to pollen and some other things so I've probably inherited some of it from her too. Symptoms, no nothing that stands out. My eyes itch maybe every other summer but it comes and goes without medicine at random it seems. I sneeze from time to time but nothing out of the ordinary. It's just that I feel like I have a cold when I lie down. A few weeks ago, it always felt like it got better as soon as I stepped out of my apartment so I figure it could be dust allergy or something.

I'm really not a fan of guitar tuners that use vibration to detect the tuning. I'd go for something similar to a Korg CA-30 instead.

I can vouch for the CA-30... it's cheap and, from what my constant dropping/breaking/reassembling of it tells me, relatively indestructible!

You carry in allergens on your body and clothes, so it can still be something from the outside that accumulates throughout the day. Adults can also develop allergies later in life as the amounts build up in your body.

If you see a doctor, they'll probably recommend an antihistamine or nasal steroid to start off.

Yeah I didn't have any symptoms at all until I turned twenty or so. But they went away by themselves and a few pills. I'm gonna call for a local doctor for an allergy test next week.

The eye itching, sneezing and constricted throat are all classic allergic reactions so it very much sounds like you have answered your own question here :). I get all of those with hayfever or if I dust/hoover after letting the dust settle too long. I can even get it from going for a walk in the evening and go near trees and bushes that are pumping out their pollen.

Yep, I never suffered from hayfever until my 20s but get it every year now.

Good man :) never hurts to put one's mind at rest.

Ever been woken up in the middle of the night because you can't breathe? :S That happened a few weeks ago for the first time. Had to gasp for air for a couple of seconds before I could breathe properly. That scared me pretty good xD Maybe I'm taking it a bit too casually...

Sleep paralysis?

My wife's Galaxy S2 keeps installing random apps on her phone. I have the same phone & service (T-Mobile) and haven't had any issues. What gives and how do I stop this from happening?

What's the best way to meet more people/get more involved in the GAF community? Just realized I've been here for over a year and pretty much know no one.

Go to a meetup, if there are any near you. Get into one of the GAF subcultures, like the various sports groups, or music GAF, reading GAF, writing GAF, etc.

I had a really bad allergic reaction some months back when I was really struggling to breathe. That made sleep tricky for a few days until it cleared up.

However, I think you are wise to take it seriously and not be all macho about it. Please do seek some proper medical advice about this issue and please do let us know how you got on :).

just got my eye glass prescription...how bad are my eyes?

R) -.25 -1.25 x150

L) PL -2.25 x180

can anyone help me translate that

I just got a new car and am looking to buy some cool shit for it, anyone know where I can find some stuff for my car?

I heard (from an espn commercial) that beaded seat covers were good for your back. is this actually true?

Thanks, calling first thing tomorrow :) From what I've heard, it's gonna take a couple of weeks for my registration to go through though, but it's a start at least.

What's the best way to hook my HTC Evo up to my car stereo? I don't have an AUX input, so I've purchased crummy FM Transmitters in the past that don't work very well. I'd like a better solution. Do I have to buy a new radio? If yes, is it something I could install myself, considering I don't have any electronic know how. Also, what's a good stereo for this? I don't need top-of-the-line, just something that will work easily and consistently.

Where can I find the specifications for the front speakers in a Mitsubishi Lancer/Mirage 1991?

If you don't have a AUX input, USB input or Bluetooth receiver in your stereo, your best option would probably be to get a new stereo with one of those input options. Installing a car stereo shouldn't be too hard, the biggest might actually be getting your old stereo out of the dashboard :lol Good luck!

I have no idea, but the first things I got for my car were a torch with a magnet to stick it to the underside of the bonnet, a tyre pressure gauge, a good tyre iron, four litres of good quality automotive oil, and a raincoat. I already had a jack, jumper leads, a sub woofer, and a tow rope, or those would have been next on the list :)

Since then I have purchased a lumbar support cushion, because my back is in bad shape, and I plan to get an iPod adaptor, since my old one doesn't fit the new car.
