Since its Thursday and I'm bored, I thought this would be a decent time waster! Just rank the Shonen Jump manga that you read. Its not a ranking based on just that latest chapter or the entire manga's run, so lets say rank it by its quality so far in 2012? (January-July).

I was into it from the first chapter. Maybe our tastes are more similar than I originally devised.
I think early chapters will more be Chapter 20+. And I think some people just didn't like Medaka from the start, but notably after 20+.

X-Day (MIZUSHIRO Setona) vol1-2 END
Didn't read the premise, just bought it based on the author (I've loved what I've read from Setona so far), so I was expecting something good, yet I didn't expect a story that for certain things would feel close to a past me. I could really empathize with Rika, the stress she was under, the way she was forcing herself to look as if everything was normal and going well because she didn't want to look weak and pathetic in front of other people.
It's interesting how the premise is about 4 people that all want to destroy their school because they feel oppressed in it, yet what really oppresses them, in my eyes, is a sense of loneliness, since none of them is really open about their feelings/troubles with the people around them, each for their own reasons and they only start to heal up thanks to the presence of each other.
I'm not sure I'll ever be able to read the yaoi works Setona does, but it seems that when I read something she does, I end up loving it.

Incredible? Far from it, I thought it wasn't good. Mainly by setting up Medaka as this moral uprighteousness embracing perfect saint, it felt like a forced and disappointing moment, surely, she could have done something, less good and still achieved the same result? Perfect characters are awful, see Binbougami ga...at least, in her case, she isn't as excreme.

It only becomes more pronounced later, but the initial fight with Unzen hints toward the fact that Medaka isn't the all perfect being she seems to be.

I didn't think I'd be interested in anything Sasuke would do non-battle related, but there you have it. Look forward to seeing where this will go and what exactly the information on the scroll entails. The Kage vs Madara fight has reached it's course as far as I'm concerned, don't think he can make it interesting at this point. Time to find a resolution or have Madara fighting the sauce.

This chapter started out fairly promising as I enjoyed urihara? (God, why is this the only series I can never remember names for?) determining and explaining the weak point of the Quincies so there's now a tangible way to fight them, but it's not an easy solution. Hopefully this will make for good fights. Then we get to the bad, I was pretty annoyed that that quincy Ichigo just beat was able to just get back up and execute that cage move. The guy got his ass kicked and then sucker shot in the back by an attack strong enough to make Urihara believe him to be dead. This isn't some main villain, don't like that he just stood up after it was emphasized that he was messed up during the fight.
One Piece
Incredibly predictable that Joker was Do Flamingo but I never really thought about Law being a member of his crew in the past, that was kinda cool. Robin reminiscing was particularly entertaining as I'm currently watching the One Piece anime for the first time so I went through the Alabasta arc not so long ago. I like the idea of a Warlord having a spy integrated into the Marines and at a high level, too. Pretty interested to see where the plot ultimately goes and it will be real nice if Do Flamingo gets especially involved with the SH's, preferably in the next arc with the end of this one being a tie-in.

Did I post about this already? Shit's heating up and the Doflamingo angle is giving me serious Baroque Works nostalgia. That was the best big antagonist arc of early One Piece so seeing something go down like that even if it follows the mold is exciting.
