Scare tissue. How does it work? Maia is the last two rounds of the Anderson fight was in fuck it mode and landed some pretty big punches that kept Andy from doing anything. Watch those rounds again. He caught Anderson in the 4th right on the chin and that was when Silva started "trolling" as you guys put it.
and I still think if Okami wasn't shitting his pants from the thoughts of death threats he would have done better.

Im not really a huge fan of either fighter. But I will be rooting for Chael.
How can anyone root for Anderson in good conscience after his dance performances in the past... I wasted money watching those fights.
People love to sight the Vitor fight as exciting, simply because all they remember of it was the knockout front kick; But it was really like 3 minutes of standing around and thankfully the kick ended it. That fight would have been a repeat of Anderson goofing off and doing his impersonations. I could see him making the Machida/Royce motions in that fight like he did against Maia. Dana was probably sweating bullets not wanting an embarrassing repeat and was relieved the kick saved the show.

Umm, Chael fucking lays on people worse than Jon Fitch. He has a 7% finish rate in the UFC/WEC. Anderson has an 86% finish rate. Not saying he hasn't had some stinkers, but rooting against him for being boring (compared to Sonnen) is comical.

I guess where im coming from is I payed money to see those Silva stinkers. I didnt pay any money to watch Sonnen's lay n prays.
I distinctly remember Silva saying "Oh it wont happen again!" for his improv scenes, and low and behold he repeats his shenanigans the next head-liner.
Chael before their first fight said he would bring a war, and the man delivered for me.

Finishing fights and being exciting are two very different things. Going to decision and being boring are two very different things.
Sonnen has never been in a UFC fight that I found boring or slow. Not once. And this despite his low finishing rate.
That being said, Silva is a fucking joy to watch, almost without fail, and even when he's acting like a fucking loon.

I'm struggling to think of an outcome for this fight that isn't absolutely hilarious. Silva mauling Chael, Chael successfully wrasslin for 25 minutes, Chael successfully wrasslin for 23 or so minutes, Silva getting finished - any of these would have me in stitches. Someone doing a Predator and exploding their knee would also be acceptable as long as the event is being viewed in an establishment of ill repute and isn't costing me $45.

Unlike Anderson, Chael never pretended to be a holier-than-thou martial artist bound by honor and respect for his opponent. Anderson actually has a long history of disrespect. Though it's not really surprising that Anderson would choose to live a lie, seeing as his legacy is exactly that.
