So... I just gave myself a buzzcut for the first time ever. I've always wondered how I'd look without hair, all my life I've had slightly long hair but sometimes my receding hairline bothers me a bit.
Last week my boyfriend of 5 years and I broke up (maybe you remember that other post I made a while ago about me liking someone else) and I'm turning 26 this Wednesday so I thought it was a good time to go for it.
I have to admit I like it, maybe I'll like it more once it grows a bit more (since I'm not really used to it yet). All my friends are going to freak out!!!

Yep, the bow's awesome. To each his own, but the Armani model look doesn't do much for me.
I think you looked better with hair, but once it grows out a bit I'm sure it'll look fine. You should totally grow a beard.

I've never been able to grow a full beard but I don't really shave that often so I'm a bit scruffy most of the time (like in the old picture)
I did use a clipper, not sure what number it was.

Real longtime lurker here, almost 5 years, and now my account has finally been approved. A lot has changed in my life during that time, but I have always followed GAF and Gay-GAF throughout it all. I recently graduated college in CA and completed a pretty sweet internship in Washington DC. There I met the most awesome, loving person I could possibly imagine and we fell in love. I'm 23, he's 21, and we couldn't be happier. My internship turned into a full time job and I now live in DC full time, working for a very unique/important person. My boyfriend inspired me to come out and be proud of who I was for the first time in my life. So I came out to my family, friends, and co workers all within a few weeks. It was tough and an emotional roller coaster, but I couldn't be happier. He has one more semester left for his undergrad halfway across the country, so we are currently apart after spending the last 6 months together. He is all I can think about, and we talk everyday, but he is always on my mind. I look forward to posting on here and being a part of the community to help pass these next few months, and of course, making a few friends a long the way!

The thing with long hair and if you plan to shave it off is to play around. Next time you decide to grow it out and shave. It. Try doing something different. Might look awesome. I'm growing mine out now. Will be shaving the sides down to get a faux mullet. Lulz.
