Romney Campaign Releases Spanish-Language Ad And Website
“I want to tell you who my father is, Mitt Romney,” Craig Romney says in Spanish. “He is a man of great convictions. He’s been married for over 40 years to my mom. Together they have five sons and 18 grandchildren. He loves our country greatly. What he has achieved has been through hard work – and it is with that same dedication that he will fight to get our country on the right track and create jobs.”

“The campaign will not cede one inch of ground to the Democratic machine. We’re not competing dollar for dollar with the Obama campaign on Hispanic votes,” said a senior Romney campaign official told the Daily Caller Tuesday about the ad. The source added a comment about Romney’s stance on immigration.“Nor do we view the Hispanic community – as Democrats do – as a monolith. Make no mistake, this campaign will not take the bait on Obama’s pandering on immigration, which — as today’s ABC News poll shows, and despite MSM hysteria — had no positive effect on [v]oters at all.”

High-powered lesbians launch first-of-its-kind super PAC to champion women’s, gay rights
LPAC, as the independent super PAC was christened, will be launched Wednesday with the freedom to spend unrestricted amounts of money for or against candidates.

“Being a woman and being gay is really a unique position in our society,” said Ricketts, a co-chair of the Democratic National Committee’s LGBT Leadership Council and one of President Barack Obama’s fundraising bundlers. “I know in my experience of activism, oftentimes it makes a difference if something is women-focused. It’s likely to get the attention of women much more easily.”

LPAC’s fundraising goal for the 2012 election cycle is $1 million, a modest amount by the standards of many super PACS, including the conservative Ending Spending Action Fund founded by Ricketts’ father, TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts,

Heard on the radio today that the backers of the referendum to repeal marriage equality in WA raised $17K last month. Opponents raised $900K.

Here's to hoping we drive a dagger through the heart of the "gay marriage has never been approved when put to a vote" talking point in November.

Romney campaign seem to think we have the memory span of goldfish.
Romney's bumbling campaign/PACs has hit a rock bottom. All they're doing is becoming more and more defensive (which is exactly how a challenger should be if Incumbent wants to win), and as PL mentioned, Rovian tactics work only pre-emptively. Even PD has to agree here.

Romney To NAACP: I’ll Be Better For Black Americans Than Obama
“I want you to know that if I did not believe that my policies and my leadership would help families of color — and families of any color — more than the policies and leadership of President Obama, I would not be running for president,” Romney says, according to the prepared remarks.
“I believe that if you understood who I truly am in my heart, and if it were possible to fully communicate what I believe is in the real, enduring best interest of African-American families, you would vote for me for president,” he says in the remarks.

Do you just repost the entire TPM feed?
TPM is becoming insufferable. Not that article, but the various ones with clear narrative dominating intentions. Every move Obama makes is a master stroke, ridiculous stories are based off little evidence ("three republicans defend Obamacare...vulnerable republicans moving to support Obamacare!"). I visit the site daily but it's getting annoying

Say that to the people of South Carolina who just found out their Tea Party Savior Nikki Haley cut funding to an organization which helps rape and domestic violence victims.

Living in South Carolina, I bet that her constituents will view that as favorable.

Spin it as fighting "abortion providers."

That's like getting annoyed by The Daily Caller's clear stance.

He got a long boo after he said he will repeal Obamacare.

Honestly, don't you have advisers for this? I wouldn't call the NAACP Obama's base (I think they were more friendly to the Clintons) but they clearly won't be in support of Romney. He shouldn't even mention the president. Instead his speech should be about the positives associated with him being in office versus the current state of things. It would be his symbolic plea to the black community for support - a win. End of story.

Obama up 6 in Wisconsin, Walker's popularity has recovered

A new poll of Wisconsin from Democratic-leaning firm Public Policy Polling (PPP) shows President Obama with a 6 point lead over Republican nominee Mitt Romney, 50 percent to 44 percent. Obama has been hovering around the 50 mark in Wisconsin over the last three months. “Barack Obama’s the clear favorite to win Wisconsin,” said Dean Debnam, President of PPP said in a release. “But it looks like it will be a much closer race than his 14 point victory in 2008.”

The current PollTracker Average of the presidential race in Wisconsin shows the President with a 5.2 percent lead.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R), who faced a recall election on June 5th, is into positive territory at 51 percent approval versus 46 disapproval. Walker had faced a negative rating through most of 2011, after he proposed and eventually pushed through anti-union measures, spurring protests and the eventual recall vote.

Walker is positive? LOLOLOL

“Barack Obama’s the clear favorite to win Wisconsin,” said Dean Debnam, President of PPP said in a release. “But it looks like it will be a much closer race than his 14 point victory in 2008.”

That's pretty much exactly how I'd put it. He'll win, but he will actually have to make a slight effort.

Ohio Governor Kasich has been busy today. He will reinforce a drilling ban on Lake Erie, enacted more regulations on fracking and spared the life of a guy on death row.

I still don't understand how Obama is ahead in Wisconsin, even though Walker beat out recall election by sizable margin.

My guess is that people don't like recalls on principle unless criminal activity or severe public misconduct is involved. Doesn't mean they like Walker or is against Obama.

Walker's approval rating has skyrocketed. He was in the low 30's last fall and is now over 50%.

Yeah...Wisconsin hates Walker.

No not an advertisement just Rush Limbaugh on entitlement spending.

Not sure why no one told me this before, where do I sign up?
