I remember I watched BB with 3 friends who didn't expect to even see a decent movie. We were all blown away.

Then I went to see it a 2nd time in IMAX. My first IMAX movie. First time I noticed Bale's mole too.

My first Batman film was Tim Burton's Batman

I had ZERO exposure to the comic books at the time. I was a diehard fan of the Adam West series and my aunt ended up bring me to see it when released. Simply, I had no idea what the fuck happened.

MwaHa! I didn't have any comics either and yeah I watched the 60's show all the time on Fox.

I didn't know they were going to make Batman a badass, kinda threw me for a loop

First Batman I saw was B89. Not in theatres though, if memory serves. No, on VH-mothafuckin'-S! Around 1990.

I was 8 when I saw Batman '89 in theaters. It was an amazing experience. It's one of the reasons I still think fondly of that movie. As a kid it was just amazing. That movie was a blockbuster in the truest sense of the word, lines around the theater for weeks and weeks.

I think I had a later version of this. Mine shot missiles with a trigger.

my earliest batman memory was the animated series in the early 90s.

First film was Forever, on ITV. Studied Batman 89 at school (really), and first cinema batman was begins.

My first date was BB, don't even remember why we chose to go see it, but I was blown away.[by the movie]

My first movie in theaters was Ninja Turtles 2 and by god I did the ninja rap all the way home.

My first ever movie in the theaters was Jurassic Park. Extremely lucky to have that happen. I was so nervous, scared, and into the movie. I almost pissed my pants from the experience. I was 9.

You'e gotten good at this.

Of course. Over the ages, my posting tactics have grown more sophisticated. With NeoGAF, I tried a new one: reworking Batman quotes. But we underestimated certain of BatGAF's citizens... such as your DM and Guzim. Banned by one of the very mods they were trying to help. Create enough threadshitting and everyone becomes a casuality. Their bans galvanized the thread into saving itself... and BatGAF has limped on ever since. I am back to finish the job. And this time no misguided Nolanites will get in the way. Like your alt account, you lack the balls to do all that is necessary. If someone stands in the way of true trolling... you simply walk up behind them and drop goatse in their inbox.

You know, I can honestly say I've never seen B&R. Ever. Maybe one scene during a retrospective or on ET or something, but never anything more than a minute or two.

So, I have a question for the people who actually like these films.

As far as I understand it, most people like these movies despite Bale's performance and Batman's portrayal. I haven't seen a single person think Bale's acting was great; just "good enough". His acting beyond the first half of begins is incredibly wooden, the batman voice is a bad joke, and he's written without any sort of nuance or subtlety. Hell, the entire second film nearly has him as a background character, with all the focus being put on Joker and Harvey.

Do you guys generally feel the same and like the movies in spite of that, or do you disagree?

I don't know if I've ever done a complete ranking for my views on live action Batman.......better late than never!

Batman Begins > Batman (89) > Batman Returns > The Dark Knight > Batman Forever > Batman (60's) > Batman & Robin

Is this for real?

Did you see Lethal Weapon 2, Do the Right Thing, When Harry Met Sally, or The Abyss?

I'm jealous of Summer '89.

I remember seeing Batman, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters 2.

Nope didn't see those other ones.

I did see Total Recall and Robocop 2 the next year though.

The first Batman film I saw was Mask of the Phantasm on VHS, which blew me away when I was just like, six. First one in theaters was Batman Begins, so I've had a good track record.

Is this for real?
Ask him to compare The Dark Knight to the Mission Impossible films and then ask this.

Ha, Jurassic Park was also my first ever cinema experience, although I don't remember much apart from my dad telling me if I made any noise the T-Rex would come and kill me. I remember being horrified at the thought, I was only 5.

First batman film I watched: Batman 89' Although it wasn't in theaters. My family ordered all the Pre-Nolan films in the mail. I remember looking at the box art just completely in awe.

BB was the first film in theaters though.

Bale was GREAT in BB, in both roles. But he was bad as Wayne in TDK and even worse as Batman. That voice got out of control.

Is this for real?

The realest.

Jurassic Park isn't what I would call a horror film per se, but at 10 years old it was the scariest shit I had ever seen. And I grew up watching Friday the 13th films. I had an F13 marathon almost once a month with my dad when it would come on HBO, but Jurassic Park legitimately scared the hell out of me.

I was always a super nervous kid. I had heard from other kids how the movie was sophisticated and I worked myself by thinking I wouldn't get it. I was focusing on every line uttered determined not to be lost or feel like an idiot.

I am sure I would have loved movies one way or another but I think the wonder and awe of JP just made me love movies.

i really want ot watch batman 89 again. got some mad urges.

i also relaly want to watch batman mask of the phantasm too.

In Tesco the other day they had Under The Red Hood/Phantasm/Gotham Knight/Year One/something else for a tenner. I almost went for it but I left my wallet at home. Sigh.

As Wayne in TDK he was just there. Its not that he was bad, just didn't have much to do or say.

I have mentioned this a million times but I felt like an opportunity was wasted when even after Rachel's death he seems under control.

Needed him to lose it for a second. He was fantastic in BB.

Mine was Transformers the animated movie but I was three at the time so I dont remember. I only got taken because my dad wanted to see it lol

The first film I remember seeing at the cinema is the first Turtles film. It was an awesome night.

A little over a week left now and I am pumped. The wait is getting harder and harder, tomorow will be my Batman Begins and The Dark Knight viewing day.

All of those are very, VERY good batman films.

I've seen Phantasm (fantastic) and Year One (good but just the graphic novel obviously). Was gonna double dip just to pick up the others.

I really want the animated series but I can never find it cheap enough in the UK anywhere.
