That's actually a popular misconception, but there's definitely a few users I know/knew who have been perma-banned and their avatars are still around.

Anyway I certainly won't be forgetting it. I don't forget movies because of another movie coming out.

It was... disappointing.

But basic theater protocol is, when two movies occupy the same timeframe that are supposed to appeal to somewhat similar markets (though TDKR and ASM are definitely trying for different things, the basic audience would probably be unaware), usually the one that has lower rated reviews are worse word-of-mouth will get completely eaten and will come to a screeching halt. This will be remembered as the summer of The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises, nothing more.

Now back to your regularly scheduled BatGaf thread.
