How did you and spec get the axe? Glad to have both of you guys back.
Us arguing about Rick Santorum of all things. lol

Given the financial situations of people on handouts what kind of revenue sources do you expect them to create?
Whatever the market demands.

Don't forget all those gun threads to compensate for your tiny...
What?

NRA believes Obama administration deliberately allowed the fast and furios operation (even though it was started under Bush) so that he can take away everybody's guns. They actively dabble in conspiracy theories about Obama and are scaring people into buying more guns.
Except the fuck ups didn't occur under Bush. I can't believe that anyone can actually defend Holder and how the admin hid info on fast and furious, then implemented a registration setup to track long gun sales in the border states, even though the ATF was the case of the guns going into Mexico in the first place.

Oh and what's this?

Whatever the market demands.

The implicit assumption here is that the market will "demand" things they are capable of providing. I doubt, for example, that someone who was previously on handouts will, after having them removed, have the resources to start a small business to meet a market need they perceive. So I would like some examples of what you think they'll be doing.

Some will start business and others will work in it. Low priced domestic consumer goods is one thing, people still want nice clothes, but want them at cheap prices. This can be importing and distribution or local manufacturing.

Haha, I don't believe you. You said the same thing right when your child was born and you were posting constantly.
Not really, most of the time I was banned, at least the past six months. Sometimes self inflicted or at least not upset. lol

Though it is cool you remembered my daughter.

Also with my comp broken and I'm not fixing it till after the work load, besides a redbox rental...and maybe Colonization Classic on an old oc, I'm not doing a lot of gaming. Mostly posting on a hunting board and a muzzleloader forum, but mostly a crap ton of work and spending time with my daughter.

Two things that are great to do when you have no money:

1. Start a business.
2. Buy products from said business.

Are you for real?

Well the Euro hasn't completely collapsed yet and riots don't seem to have overtaken Greece anymore, so that's some type of improvement.

Most of the places in europe that enacted austerity that have improved improved because they stopped enacting austerity.

Most of the places that enacted austerity have hurt their GDP to debt ratio despite the goal being improving it. The projections have also been adjusted a lot forward.

A lot of places that enacted austerity that have dropping unemployment is a result of emigration from that country. Also, the ones that have done better than others are usually due to foreign exports propping up the rest of the economy.

Most of the data is pretty clear that austerity isn't helping at all and almost certainly making things worse.

nobody serious is advocating austerity as a means to improve the economy. that just doesn't make any sense, and is not supported by any evidence.

instead it is being done to intentionally inflict pain on people now in the misguided belief that it will avoid more pain at some mythical future date when european states will no longer be able to afford welfare programs. this is apparently easier politically than getting the euro on a unified monetary policy, like the united states, which would also completely fix the mythical problem but without screwing over so many people.

people who say things like "shrinking government will allow more room for private jobs to grow" are fucking idiots who know nothing about anything. i don't think i've ever seen someone serious assert such silliness.

People find a way to spend money without money? Do you believe in perpetual motion machines, too?
I'm sure we could just get in touch with that uncle of ours with all the connections. Or hit grandpa up for some of his savings.

Of course, if we don't have these resources we're probably lazy.

See this is why I almost felt bad for him getting booed so hard. He probably was actually fishing for that response as he has no chance in hell of getting black voters anyways.

He needs to be destroyed for this comment. This is incredibly offensive.

He won't be. Romney has continued to get away with with everything till date. Lying is at top of the pile. And not just small things, he claimed he has released the same amount of tax returns as John Kerry yesterday.

Sadly this is the truth. This election cycle is a travesty for basically that reason alone: Romney has gotten away with so much absolutely blatant bullshit.

This is what I'm talking about in respect to TPM. When this first happened earlier today, the story labeled it a major victory for Reid/democrats. Now the language has changed a bit but it's still treated like some major story
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/...cut-planif-gop-drops-filibuster.php?ref=fpblg

Note, this will likely not receive a vote in the senate or house, and I'd imagine it'll be dropped in a month when the Obama administration finds some new distraction to focus on

I think you're confusing tactical appreciation for strategy adulation.

Reason is that GOP did not think Reid had 50 votes to pass Obama's tax plan with a simple majority. So, they wanted a vote on Hatch's plan for a simple majority but not on Obama's. So, when Reid unveiled that, they decided to now allow vote on both of them via simple majority.

On the floor just now, Senator Reid offered a unanimous consent agreement that would have allowed us to proceed to two Bush tax cut votes right away at a simple majority threshold: a vote on President Obama’s plan to extend middle-class tax cuts on income up to $250,000, and a vote on Senator Hatch’s amendment to extend most of the Bush tax cuts.
Senator McConnell blocked us from voting on both President Obama’s plan and the Republican plan at a simple majority threshold, presumably because he is afraid our bill would pass and his would fail.

Good god, my woman's an idiot:

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/s-e-cupp...-voter-i-d-laws-over-shouting-msnbc-co-hosts/

My sweet little S.E. thought she had this brilliant gotcha moment with her liberal adversaries, which wasn't as brilliant as she may have thought. Summary:

"Do we agree all agree that people who aren't citizens shouldn't have the right to vote."
"Well, yeah I guess."
"Now how many instances of voter fraud have we had."
"The Bush administration's justice dept. discovered 84 cases of voter fraud out of 300 million.'
"AHA! SO THERE IS VOTER FRAUD, HMM!?"
"Uh...we never said there isn't, just that the amount of fraud is insignificant."
"What plan do you libs have to prevent those 86 people from voting?"
"The thing is..."
"EXACTLY! YOU DON'T HAVE ONE. :massivesmugsmile"
"So you'd rather disenfranchise millions of people to make sure 84 of them don't vote?"
"I've got nothing else to say. I guess I proved MY point. :anothersmugsmile"

How the hell can Romney and Obama be so close in the polls? Man, America should just split up; send all the gun-toting, racist, xenophobic, homophobic hillbillies to Alabama and build a wall around them, letting them relive the confederacy in their tiny little world.

Some people argue Pres. Obama is fortunate to be in the position he is considering the state of the labor market and the high number of poll respondents who say the country is on the "wrong track."

Damn...just saw the video of Romney getting booed and...yeah that was pretty bad.

Imagine Obama going to a Mormon convention and attacking Romney's policies. I don't get why he would do that unless he was trying to get a a negative reaction

I give him credit for having the balls to do it. I mean this is like Obama speaking at the NRA convention, an audience that's not open minded and is totally hostile to the speaker.

Difference is NRA would never allow Obama to speak. NAACP was open-minded enough to invite him and he repaid them by using them as a prop to show his "toughness"
