Sure! Always happy to help out fellow artists however I can! What program do you use, and what is it exactly you want help with?

Haha, actually I had nothing in particular in mind when I said that. Although I'm always thinking about how to pose things more "dynamically", since my art is pretty dull pose-wise.

Also just concerned about my painting in general. People have told me that my paintings are dull and lifeless, and they prefer my sketches better (which I don't like.) I'm not sure what to do about that.

*takes new pic*

*Gets bumped off page next post*

Nice hair *thumbs up* but no glasses *thumbs down*

My new pictures are just kind of ugly haha. I need ~perfect~ conditions to look good in pictures haha.

It's okay, me too. :D I feel I have one of those faces that morphs bizarre whenever a picture is taken. :< I look different in every picture!

You should see my hundreds of tossed pictures.

I know I'm late, but I just wanna thank Leeness for that spot-on impression of the babysitter from The Incredibles. That was GLORIOUS.

It also reminds me that I need to record one final thing.

:) Thanks. I can't do many voices, but sometimes I can hit an impression pretty well, haha.

Just for you.

Also, make sure your sound isn't TOO loud for the third voicemail. Haha.

Kitsune, I do love sweets as well, but I'm trying to not eat them very much anymore. :(

This was quite well done. It has been so long since I've seen the source material, so I can't really compare, though.

Also, I really should have heeded your warning about the third voicemail.

I haven't seen the movie for a bit either, so I was just...doing whatever. Haha.

Sorry! :P

Grandpa Joe: Mr. Wonka?
Wonka: I am extraordinarily busy, sir.
Grandpa Joe: I just wanted to ask about the chocolate, the lifetime supply of chocolate, for Charlie. When does he get it?
Wonka: He doesn't.
Grandpa Joe: Why not?
Wonka: Because he broke the rules.
Grandpa Joe: What rules? We didn't see any rules, did we, Charlie?
Wonka: Wrong, sir! Wrong!

Nice Chun-li!

And, I'm sure PA has some nice parts. The scenery can be quite beautiful in some parts, even if I'm not fond of coniferous vegetation. Unfortunately most of my experience has been in rural towns where there is literally nothing going on. It always seems like all the young people either moved out or killed themselves out of boredom. I just don't really dig small town vibes.

Pittsburgh is the biggest city I've visited in PA and even then the whole city seemed to shut down on game day.

Thanks!

That pretty much describes PA. So true about game day in Pittsburgh. My first year of college I lived in Allegheny Center (A.K.A. the portal to Hell), which is up past PNC Park. It was a ridiculous hassle trying to get home after classes on any day the Pirates played there. I despised trying to wade through the sea of drunken idiots.

I honestly miss living there compared to here though. This place is so boring. I don't dig small towns either.

One thing I think you can improve is your color variation. That tends to help things pop more. Take your resistance fighter for example. You did a good job on the face, but the colors on the rest are a bit flat. Usually I find it best to create a large color palette based on the general idea I have for the colors before I begin painting. Corel Painter even has a mixer palette feature, if you'd like to do it the traditional way, but digitally.

Regarding poses, I think the best thing to do is to either have someone stand in the pose you want, or do it yourself in a full-length mirror. I also seem to recall this book being a good resource http://www.amazon.com/dp/0471396966/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Learning animation really helps as well. Best book for that http://www.amazon.com/dp/0571202284/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Same here. My face is very crooked, so it looks utterly bizarre in most pictures =p

It's okay. Batman already ruptured my eardrums last night.

What was Batman doing at your house
and can you send him to my house
?

I have an idea! Let's all post up some awkward photos of ourselves. :D We are usually trying our best to look good for the photos we post on here, but not all pictures turn out that great:

D:

Seriously, what happened here? (aside from the obvious wind in the face) Why is my body all awkward shaped!?

Anyway, also a picture that I like from when I was looking through photos:

winterbeach.jpg

Winter beaches in Oregon. :D
