Its pretty shit. No real opinions, just what's essentially a synopsis of the plot. Could have been written by any one of us, without having seen the film at all.

Apart from the score, nothing in that review tells you whether you should see it or not.

Maybe DKR is so damned awesome that the prior two are the closest he can come to feeling like he's watching it over again? Or he wants to be able to compare and contrast DKR with the prior two, pointing out ways in which its superior / inferior / whatever?

I personally hate using ratings for film, games, music, etc. The writing should speak for itself, and the numbers/stars usually just detract/color the perception of the actual review. Too many damn people scroll to the bottom, see the number and go about their day, not actually reading why someone feels this way about the product in question.

But, it is what it is.
