I can agree with that haha. Actually starting is a chore, once you're going, it's awesome.

I was a couple of months ago, but I changed around my workouts so I don't have that long steady cardio anymore. I'm also poor as hell, and wanted to get outside for the summer.

I do sprints, kickboxing stuff and weights in my living room :)

You should join the awesome P90X community.

I have p90 but I can't do a lot of it unfortunately :( My knees just can't take the plyo and constant squats and such. I have to modify like half of the program haha.

But I thought that was the reason why they always showed two ways of doing each exercise. I can't do it cause I just can't keep up with it lol

My gym is like 3-4 minutes away :D
So I'm going everyday like a boss.

Mines is about 7-8 minutes away and it's opened 24 hours. I have to go hit it after taking a week off tonight. Chest and bicep or maybe back and tricep.

The only the thing is that I need to cook some dinner either before or after I come back since my mother's out of town for a month. It makes realize how much I take her for granted since she's the one who cooks, cleans, pays the rent, and buys groceries and necessities. I've been lazy the whole weekend, only eating sandwiches and my brother's Starbucks lunch boxes that he brings from work.

Tonight's dinner is going to be ground beef with a pot of brown rice. I've never tried cooking beans before. I'm going to attempt to cook them tomorrow after looking up a recipe. I just wish I had a fan in the kitchen because it's gonna get hot in there. I also need to wash a bunch of pots and cups. But otherwise, cooking is pretty fun; I just put some music on and go to town. I cook pretty decently.

How do you guys motivate yourselves to cook?

My gym is a 2 minute jog down the road too, which is nice. It's a Planet Fitness so it's no good for heavy weight training, but I don't do that.

My routine right now is 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes working on various machines. I try to switch it up between arms, legs, chest and abs as much a possible. Still trying to learn how all the different machines work.

They're probably not the best for fast or optimal results, but they seem to be working. I've been going... 2 or so weeks now fairly regularly? I have some muscles now that have never existed before, so that is nice. No real weight loss but since I'm at an okay weight I'm guessing I am losing fat and gaining muscle.

I like cooking. Learn how to make some basic recipes and then start to get creative with them and figure out your own kinda dishes.

Pasta and meat sauce is always easy if you're stumped. Boil a big pot of water to cook your pasta in. Get some premade sauce and toss it in a small pot and put it on low. Saute some green peppers and onions in a pan with a little oil for a minute or so, then toss that into the sauce to give it some flavor. Then cook up your ground beef in the pan and mix that into the sauce. Cook your pasta when you're doing this.

Store bought sauce can come out good when you're doctoring it up with veggies.

That's most likely because your legs are weak right now. If you keep trying, even if you modify a lot, your whole body will become stronger and you'll be able to do thing you never thought were possible.

I almost died the first day of P90X, but I stuck with it and my fitness levels have improved drastically.

I don't have the materials for P90 nor can I dedicate an hour a day to it once I start my internship/classes.

I'm sure I'm not at the proper level of fitness to start it anyway.

Leeness, I'm sure there is a rich guy just for you :P

While I'm in Texas i do most of the stuff at my parent's house. They got a home gym. I'm gonna have to go out and jog since the treadmill broke down D:

Be one of those people that take pictures of your food.
I always do every time I cook a meal; I have a hall of fame in my phone.:D There's an ancient Dominican cook book in the kitchen that I look at every now and then, but I mostly improvise and add my own stuff to it. It's pretty hard to find Dominican recipes online though. The last time I cooked, I made some ribs which came out decently.

I will definitely do. I know how to make a pot of rice as well as prepare meat (dry ingredients first, wet ingredients last) and cook meat. We have some pasta in stock as well as some frozen Ragu sauce. My brother and I did that last time my mother was away. Store bought sauce definitely needs to be kicked up because it doesn't taste very good by itself. The only thing is that my brother doesn't trust me with my cooking so I have coax him into eating my stuff.

I've had some massive hunger pangs over the weekend for being lazy and not wanting to cook. I think I'm gonna lose weight at the rate I'm going. =/

I look at cooking the way I look at my training - you need to properly eat (which means cooking good and healthy food) and train if you want to see good results.

I'm also a food lover and love making new stuff.

Have him help you cut up the vegetables beforehand while you're prepping stuff, something easy like that. Then it'll be his cooking too.

I'm not that weak! Haha. I've been doing Jillian Michaels for two years (she has a cardio circuit training DVD) and after two years, my knees still ache ache ache after doing plyo squats. It's kind of crummy. I mean, I can get through the circuit, but after, my knees ache so bad, I have to ice them for days :(

Leeness, I'm sure there is a rich guy just for you :P

I wish! Lol. Maybe if I lose these last 20 pounds, the men around here won't think I'm gross. Sigh.

What the hell, why not.
I'll trade my Out of this World avatar for a picture of myself. Talk about a downgrade :P

Downgrade? You have aviators!

How do you guys motivate yourselves to cook?

I find cooking to be really therapeutic and I get a decent sense of accomplishment when I try something new, the kind I get when I learn the new song I wanted to on guitar.

I've sent out PMs to a bunch of RealPic Vancouverites (Cygnus, Templaer, Leeness, etc) re: meeting up. If I missed you somehow, give me a holler via PM.

Also, my glasses are now in the mail, so I'll be able to update my avatar soon and join Glasses-GAF.

Ownage, meetups are the best!!

I can't tolerate the gym in the summer. Going in the winter is so much easier. The drought here in the midwest has been pretty bad, but on the positive side I've had no excuse not to be as active as possible this summer. My poor bike hasn't seen this level of use in years.

RPGAF I have a gaming question for you guys/gals.

It's time for my probably annual videogame shopping spree and I want to buy some cool games. I'm mostly interested in older ones but I'm open to buying new stuffs. Right now I'm looking at:

Mario Party 5
Fortune Street
Custom Robo GCN
Xenoblade

The first two because my friends want to have a marathon of mario party/party games and we need the ones that are the easiest to screw each other with and the two seem to be good choices, I'm tempted to buy Dokapon Kingdom for this purpose as well. The next one because it's awesome and it's a great multiplayer game. The last because I need it in my life after so much wait.

I'm going to find some deals on these games hoping that I can get them rather cheaply. But I want a few more to add to the collection, plus if they are cheap. I have the following consoles: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, GCN, SNES, N64, DSlite, PS2, PS1, GBA and a semi old computer that can barely play diablo 3 apparently but I have no internet at this moment (it's a long story).

I'm looking for some good multiplayer games, online and off, and some fun one player only experiences, I prefer older games too. Good rpgs are a plus! Any tips RPGAF?

Obligatory: have you played Persona 4?

Nope, I should fix this. Hopefully I can snag a copy that doesn't hurt the wallet.

@Leeness and Newline: Definitely getting Xenoblade, I waited too long for this one :).

@NeOak: The older one for PC? I've heard that it was good. Is it on steam?

You can't buy it right now? I can buy it for you and give it to you~

Omg, don't get my hopes up billie D:! I don't have internet, because internet companies where I live are evil, on the computer I use to play videogames, my desktop. I've been using my mom's laptop, I haven't logged on steam because I'd have to set up my credit card and all that stuff, not to mention that my monitor was broken for like two months on my desktop which has a file that I need to use to log onto steam. It's been a stressful time. Though honestly that'd be the most awesomest thing ever and I'd be eternally grateful.

Oh my~

What is this in my inventory?

I'm at the gym right now.

Chest day.

I've been doing this the past few weeks:

http://cutandjacked.com/Workout-Routine-Lazar-Angelov

Sometimes throwing ab ripper x on top of the included ab routine. I hate it, but I love it.

The number of different exercises look pretty insane at a first glance, but it looks like a really solid routine.
I might adapt this into my own routine, I just need to work in a little cardio because my stamina is terrible.
