There is no thread but what we make for ourselves.

Double fuck.

I've been lightly spoiled reading IGN's review. I think it even said people worried about spoilers could read it. then bam, bunch of stuff that doesn't appear in any trailers and such

I woke up last night for just a few minutes thinking I had unraveled a plot point of the movie.
I still believe I am right as it happens. Don't highlight unless you're beyond spoilers as I may be right: I'm betting...
Blake is the kid batman gave his Xray tool to in BB and this will play out in some emotional scene.

Because you think you got nothing to lose. But you haven't thought it through. You haven't thought about your Cameron fan down in the Avatar thread. You haven't thought about your young juniors. BANNED!

People from your world have so *much* to lose. Now, you think because you were banned for a few minutes, you know about the ugly side of life, but you don't. You've never tasted desperate. You're, uh, you're Solo, the Bond Prince of NeoGAF; you'd have to be banned a thousand days to meet someone who didn't know your name. So, don't-don't come down here with your anger, trying to prove something to yourself. This is a world you'll never understand. And you always fear what you don't understand. Alright.

Haha amazing

I highly doubt that.
They don't even have the same hair color.

But for sheer enjoyment at the movies, the best news might be that both Nolan and his cinematographer Wally Pfister dislike 3D and love IMAX. As with the best effects and cinema technology, you forget after a minute that you’re watching such an enormous picture, but you feel the shake in the floor from every gun blast or fist impact and you’re completely drawn into the story because the world of it surrounds you on all sides.

Watched The Dark Knight again last night, for the first time in about a year. Probably my 4th or 5th time watching it.

I loved the film when it released - My (then) GF got me and her advance press screening tickets, and so I got to see it at the IMAX a good three days before release. Even better, they hooked us up with free snacks and drinks.

Anyway, the movie definitely still holds up, save for four gripes. Note: I realize these are nit-pickey; I loved the film, and can't wait for TDKR. But, nevertheless, I wish the following were improved.

1) Not enough Batman. The Joker was great... amazing, actually. But there was a surprising lack of Bats throughout.

2) Two-Face CG/makeup. Ugh. Just looks completely cartoony in a world that is supposed to be more grounded in reality.

3) Batman takes out an entire building of bad guys using sonar detection; but fumbles around like an idiot when the Joker pushes him into a net.

4) The boat scene was actually pretty awesome the first time. But after you know what happens, it doesn't hold up nearly as well as the rest of the movie. The tension is completely gone once you know the outcome. Which is contrasted by scenes like the beginning of Inglorious Basterds (I don't like that move, but it's the only example I can come up with right now).

Question. I'm heading to my local Harkins Theater for the midnight showing and I'm not sure how early to get there to wait in line. I ordered tickets about a month ago and my friend ordered tickets a week ago and we be in the same theater. Thoughts?
