I honestly cant see how its the other way around with anyone, BB is so much more engaging from an atmospheric and emotional point of view, while also having some good action. TDK if anything was overshadowed slightly by the jokers performance and a last third which dragged on.

The thing that people keep forgetting (or don't know) about Venom being in SM3 was that Raimi didn't like the comic book Venom; he created his own version of the character that he DID like, and used that for the movie.

And if Venom wasn't in the movie, Raimi would have just used Vulture, who actually makes less sense given what the story was about.

I like the the dark knight, i think it is a very very good film and any negatives i talk about are vastly overshadowed by the positives, only in comparison to what i consider a better film is it slightly harsher judged.

yeah still never understood it. guess I'm one of the few that doesn't think its a problem ever... I love long movies. BB wasn't long enough, TDK was great in length it just need more Joker 10 or 15 mintues of screen time.

The fact that a movie is considered rotten is apparently submitted by the reviewers themselves ( at least that's what film critic gaf told me) So 3/5 could be rotten for one reviewer. Fresh or rotten is decided by reviewer.

His agenda is getting people riled up and I'm pretty sure he's said so himself. IMO this makes his opinions completely irrelevant especially as a so-called professional film critic. It's not really about it being a superhero film or who stars in it, but about him writing something that he knows will get attention.

He compared TDK to the Bush administration, and went on a tirade of how America doesn't care for heroes like Batman anymore because of the pessimism involving the character. Instead America embraced the Avengers because suddenly we care more about optimism and light-hearted superheroes. He made an incredible (lol) culture study on how we perceive superheroes now.
