Guess who finally has a job? I finally has a job.

Also walking dead is awesome. Just finished the second chapter of the game and now im watching the show until the third is out :D

Ok, thank you. I'm trying to find exercise that I can handle while I deal with some medical issues, and Yoga seems like it would be something I could do. I've also heard it can be good for anxiety, and since mine has worsened lately I've been looking for something that can calm me down.

Yoga can be amazing helpful at helping with injurys if done well, but can also make your injurys worse if you arent doing the right exercises.

I have a friend that had some very serious back injurys (the doctors reccomended 3 operations with a 25% chance of doing permenant spine damage) and instead he did 7 months of intensive yoga at a special center for injurys(which cost a shit load of money) , and while he still has bad days, he can do everything normally, and no longer needs the operations.

Guess who finally has a job? I finally has a job.

conrgats on the job,

so is the walking dead worth 15$? or should I wait for it to be 10$-5$ ? >>

Are you guys talking about martial arts? If so, mixed martial arts is the best overall (in my experience). Good for getting fit, very practical. It takes the best bits from all the styles, and though some people poo-poo it for that, it really is very good. Tae Kwon Do was a lot of fun also, good for fitness, but not very practical. Karate is more practical than TKD but a lot of styles still focus more on tradition than practicality. Kung Fu I haven't done much of, but from what I've tried it was mostly very close quarters stuff, incredibly practical but also more spiritual than the other styles I've tried. My father has been doing Kung fu for years, and using it has beaten several higher ups in other styles, if that says anything.

Yes, I think its worth it. Though there's no hurt in waiting to see if it gets cheaper I guess.

Awesome. I have my salary review this month, so I'm waiting to see if moving on is going to be better for me in the long term.

actuly kung fu isnt considered very pratical, when mma was just starting out several people with other styles such as mai thai and karate got up the ranks, but people who study kung fu never did...
mma is very practical indeed, and as has been said krav maga is even better if you want to learn to defend yourself in dangerous situations.(though not if you want to get in shape)

also steam has spoiled me >> unless its super cheap I get buyers remorse... also what job did you actuly get?

Ooh, I've never heard of Krav Maga but it seems like there's a training centre right near my place. I'll check it out.

I am now a cashier at a certain fried chicken outlet originating from Kentucky :p May not be much, but I am so SO happy to finally have something.

Congrats! Hopefully I'll be saying that soon. I agree Walking Dead is great and deserves the purchase.

Walking Dead is awesome. I wasn't too thrilled for it when it was announced, my guy persuaded me to try it and I LOVE it now. He loves anything Zombie related and some of his favourite books are about Zombies! Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z bot by Max Brooks. Awesome books too.

It's easy to get stuck in for a long time Shan, line up other jobs as soon as you can. I used to work at their rival chain, the one that uses a clown to advertise their stuff. ;P

Having said that, money is money. And it is better to be employed than not. The cash is a godsend. :P

Congrats! What do you do? Don't have to answer that if you don't want to. ^_^

My night of watching Walking Dead was cancelled when my friend had to stay behind work last night. Hopefully, we'll be able to watch it tonight and see what all the hype is about!

*Speaking of MMA, I took a Brazilian Jujitsu class about 2 weeks ago and it was great. Left me sore for days ahaha but I had a great partner who did not go too easy on me on my first try but gave out plenty of advice. The staff was also pretty helpful and supportive. I would sign up but I may be moving cities in a few months so I can't commit to it. Would love to though. Taking BJJ also made me appreciate MMA fighters a lot more. I got my guards passed and I got choked out in all sorts of positions. It takes a lot of knowledge to be able to defend against all sorts of possible offensives. Fun stuff!

So what are we talking about? I'm bored at work. I've done 99% of what I had to do this week an I'm going to save the last 1% of work right until I can't stand doing nothing anymore.

Congrats!

It hits in all the right places. It's definitely a workout you can feel.

I skimp on leg day though. I only do one calf raise exercise. His leg routine is killer. 144 squats... The first couple weeks I couldn't even sit right.

I also swap out dead lifts for rack pulls on back day.

I'll probably tone down the leg day a bit as well and throw in half an hour of cardio in there. I might have to switch to a targeted keto diet for this as well, as it sounds pretty intense.

Well, I spent my $15 of allotted monies for this Steam sale. Got the Alan Wake bundle and Assassin's Creed II. I may break my rule and pick up some horror-type game or something for $2.50 on the last day though.

Does anybody in here practice Yoga? If so, how easy is it for an extremely clumsy person to injure themselves (because I am seriously worried I will injure myself)?

Check out my guide on Yoga:

Yeah, it's pretty painful at times. Thankfully, I'm just watching it while at work as a background distraction, so it's not really taking up any time. :)

i was over at a friend's house one time in high school and him and the guys were watching DBZ, not sure which episode it was but they just screamed at each other and threatened to beat each other up.....decided it wasn't for me.

I think we need a new topic of conversation, so...

if you guys could go anywhere in the world for a vacation (free of charge) where would it be?

So if any of you realies have been haunting the okcupid thread (holla, Exodus and Lead), you might know that I have a new girlfriend now. And she's absolutely entirely my match. It's really unreal how comfortable I am around her.

I'm going to be seeing her again on Wednesday night, so when I do, I will get you guys pictures for this thread (and crosspost to that one). Then you guys can see how happy we are. :)
