Just got free tickets for tomorrow night but it's in a dome. I've never seen a movie in a dome. Think I'll just pass and wait till Friday, I have no hype for it

Pretty sure that was an example because I can't see there being a twist ending here. I'd imagine this is gonna end with Batman putting two in Banes chest.

I sure hope so.

Also I'm looking at tickets in NYC and it doesn't look like I can tickets at the Lincoln Center IMAX this weekend. May have to wait a week to watch it...

I agree to an extent that it's not as grounded, there's a bigger sense of heightened realism. No more silly than the microwave vaporiser thing in BB, so I think it's safe.

Confused. Doesn't "more grounded" mean that there's a bigger sense of heightened realism?

Don't really think that's unrealistic. It's basically an upside down helicopter, its rotor blades are on the bottom.

Except it moves like nothing we've seen before or seen in reality. It gives physics the middle finger and firmly launches into LOL territory.

Anyone going to see TDKR with an OmnIMAX screen? It's the only true IMAX theatre in my vicinity, but I'm afraid that it may prove to be uncomfortable to watch the film.

Meh, I liked it. It probably is more silly than the microwave emitter sure, but it's given a description by Lucius that paints it as an army/government thingy, and I'm fine with that.

Rush Limbaugh sees left-wing conspiracy everywhere -- even Gotham City.

Speaking on his syndicated radio show on Tuesday, the right-wing host brought up the upcoming Batman film The Dark Knight Rises (or as he called it, The Dark Knight Lights Up), in particular focusing on its main villain, the Tom Hardy-portrayed hulking madman Bane. With Mitt Romney's time at the investment fund (and the questionable time at which he retired from it) filling non-entertainment news headlines, Limbaugh tied the two together, casting some tough accusations at director Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros.

"Do you think it is accidental that the name of the really vicious firebreathing, four-eyed whatever-it-is villain in this movie is named Bane?" Limbaugh asked his listeners.

Limbaugh did note that the film, the sequel to the 2008 hit The Dark Knight, has been in the works for a long time, with a summer 2012 release date long part of the plan.

still the only thing im against before seeing it.
worst 'batwing' design besides Arkham Asylum.

To be honest sometimes there doesn't look like there's any weight behind it in the film, but for the majority it works. It's cool enough I'll let it slide, fuck the haters of Batpod up the wall and now Batwing in the air

Have to say that I am pretty shocked that BA Digest didn't care for it. I'm 100% confident I am going to love it but that comes across as unexpected to me.

I most likely will, but not after i've seen it at least once in a regular theater. It wasn't bad for TDK, just really different

Says more about his audience that he can spout this than him

This would be funny if it came from anybody but Rush. Instead, it's boring and predictable.

Once again, this wasn't started by Limbaugh or even conservatives. Yesterday: http://washingtonexaminer.com/romneys-new-foe-batmans-bane/article/2502274

This summer's much-anticipated Hollywood blockbuster, "The Dark Knight Rises," is getting an unusual boost from Democrats and other foes of Mitt Romney who are eager to tie the Gotham crushing villain to the GOP presidential candidate.

As the Friday release date has neared, liberal blogs were the first to connect Batman's toughest foe with Romney's firm.

Are you being sarcastic?

Nope, I'm just checking out the rotten reviews and saw it listed first. I dunno if he didn't like the other films or what, but it seems directly in the wheelhouse of Faraci so I wasn't expecting to see a negative review from him.

Edit: He gave Dark Knight an 8.5 and Inception a 10.

Faraci wasn't a big fan of BB, thought TDK was overrated, and hates Nolan fans in general. To be honest, though it may seem up his alley, if you follow him pretty closely, this was pretty expected.

I just dislike how huge the cockpit and arm things are in comparison to how thin the rest of the body is.
If it had one big rotor on top it might have looked more balanced.

The free tickets I got are on that screen, I heard bad impressions on other movies but I don't think they were made for IMAX. I dunno.
