I keep having these dreams about guys in my life that I find attractive. :P Strangely they don't involve sex which is usually the case. In my dream last night a good friend of mine was talking to me as we were walking down the street and I felt him kind of grab onto my hand, and I thought that was strange, but I just went with it. Then he was clearly holding my hand and I said "You're holding my hand?" and he said "I know" and then I just smiled and the dream ended.

It was the sweetest dream ever. WHY MUST IT END?

Yeah. But music is such a pure medium, I don't really find that the person behind it enters into my enjoyment much.

I usually just enjoy the music as well. The progenitors of black metal are some seriously fucked up people though.

Dead from Mayhem would cut his arms on stage at concerts. He committed suicide by shooting himself in the head and left a note saying "excuse the mess". Euronymous from the same band found him that way and ran to the store to buy a camera to take pictures of it which later appeared on one of their bootlegs. He even took pieces of Dead's skull which had been blown off and gave them to other musicians on necklaces that he deemed worthy.

I love musicals and listen to a lot of the indie rock you mentioned. Nice to meet you too :p

I can't explain why I and so many other gay men like musicals. My hunch is that everyone naturally loves musicals, but most straight guys are just too insecure to admit it. Most of my straight male friends that are secure with their sexuality also like musicals.

Like lunch said, it's movies and music combined. What's not to like?

The bus ride doesn't sound that bad. Just bring a book or game and something to listen to and you'll be fine. If you're comfortable driving in the city you should also be fine to drive on the highway. Boston is usually pretty awful to drive in, the highway is comparatively relaxed. If you want to take a 'test drive' so-to-speak, just try driving during off-hours when there is less traffic (really early morning would be good for example).

You'll almost certainly regret not going more than you'll regret going, regardless of which way you choose to get there.

It's taken me a while to actually get into musicals. I liked a few before like Hedwig & The Angry Inch and Rent, but some of the more campy stuff still turns me off. My boyfriend, on the other hand, is a fiend for musicals. While I enjoy going to them with him, I feel like I'm missing out because I don't enjoy them as much (generally).

To each his/her own. :D

I think I might go. I just keep pounding the negative bad things that could happen in my head and not think about the fun stuff.

Wow, that's specific. Any examples?
I don't think such a genre really exists, but variations of it do. :p

Nadja (drone/doom/ambient), Blut Aus Nord (ambient/drone), Ulver (black/folk), Drudkh (metal/ambient), Sun O))) (derp), Burzum (ambient/folk), Earth (drone/doom), Agalloch (folk), Kayo Dot (ambient), Yakuza (sometimes ambient), Urfaust (black/drone/ambient).

That I didn't know, that's interesting (and unfortunate, obviously).

Musicals are awesome. I used to love my high school's musicals. I recently got to see Beauty and the Beast with my mom and (gay) cousin. It was the first professionally done musical I've seen and it was amazing!

Probably won't see another musical for a long time, but I'll be very excited for when I do go.

haha I had a similar dream with my crush from work, I finally got the guts to ask him out and he said yes!

Well, ex-work :( why it must end indeed.

Hahaha, yeah. Dreaming sucks so much. XD
Dream: Cuddle = Nice feeling, comfort, relief ... :)
Reality: Cuddle = "lol if I wanted to cuddle I'd date a girl" ... :|

That reality is depressing, wow, haha!

One of my favorite things to do on a Friday night is to spoon on the sofa in front of the TV. Choose a cheesy Netflix movie, turn down the lights, light the candle-lanterns hanging around the living room, and all is right in the world..

Mmm.. cuddling..

Well, the guy is straight
and totally out of my league!
so I doubt that will happen. :P

EDIT: Cuddling rocks.

Well my crush is gay which makes it worst! I barely say hi in real life, dreaming sucks. Well, waking up sucks.

And cuddling is awesome, my first time was with a cuddler, and although I left somewhat disappointed, the cuddling made up for it a bit.

Dragon: I'm watching Political Animal's "pilot" right now and uh... I'm not sure how I feel about it.

You know, that would be my perfect Friday night.
Food, sofa, movie, guy....oh well.

How so? Not good?

Well, it just picked up. The first half was kinda... slow, meandering. But since the
Gay kids suicide attempt leaked out because the journalist interviewing Weaver's character to keep it under wraps "published it" (it was her boyfriend that did because she stupidly told him "as her boyfriend, not her boss")
it's picked up a bit.

I thought the entire episode was quite good,
other then the drama between reporter and her boss/bf/ex was boring. And yes, telling him as a bf and not boss was completely stupid of her, especially because her bf is the editor of a newspaper
.

Exactly. As soon as he said that I knew shit was going to happen. Just bad writing right there.

Sigourney is lovely like always, but the writing here is just... uh... not that great. For all that talk about USA shows, they at least don't take themselves too seriously to where they're very "bubbly"/turn your mind off and good fun. This is trying to be deep but I can't care about most of the characters at all.

Then again, I've never been too fond of politic shows. They do backstabbing too poorly.

Didn't know Political Animals was already out. I haven't heard anything good about the show, but I guess I'll see if I can watch it as well. I want to be part of the Gay GAF TV Club.

Thanks for the advice guys!

Nightwish is horrible without Tarja, I can't listen to it.

Let's talk real Nightwish, Deep Silent Complete Nightwish.

It kills me I never saw them live and now I can't listen to songs like this live anymore, Annete just isn't up to the task.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I can't call them horrible. Sure, they sound quite different now, but I dig where it's going. Annette has her moments and some songs still sound mesmerizingly beautiful, and let Marco shine quite a bit.

Deep Silent Complete is awesome!

Oh, right, I forgot I was going to catch the episode on the USA site for Political Animals since I completely missed it. Thanks for the reminder.

Guys, is it normal that I ship two real people from a cooking show? Actually, don't answer that.

But anyone who watch Masterchef Australia 2012 probably know what I'm talking about. I'm kind of blushing just looking at Ben and Andy interacting with each other.

Wow.. the first time I'd seen the term "ship" is on the legend of korra thread. Had no idea it was in widespread use. Perhaps it isn't normal to ship two people on a cooking show but I don'tsee any harm it could do.

I had no idea what he was talking about until you mentioned Korra.

From sex stories, to cuddling, shipping, the gifs, and countless other things in this thread, It sure is easy to get lost in here. It's like being in a cramped room being surrounded by 7 different group conversations @_@, and It's difficult to exactly tune into the surrounding voices. But this thread has been pretty active which is great. We have a pretty nice community in here

Yeah, It sure can get convoluted in here but its lively and our little community here is generally drama free. It's interesting seeing people here and what they're contributing and we try to hold each other down together as well. I'm not sure if there really is any Gaf Community like us at all.

Man, it's normal when someone is panicking to beg their SO to not leave to go something because they really need to be comforted?

I mean, yeah, I have another friend in the chatroom, but what I'm panicking about is related to my SO, so how would my other friend help me there?

So, I'm realizing my new guy and I pretty much have nothing in common with each other, but we still dig spending time together, are still flirtatious and there's (physical?) chemistry for sure. But yeah. Nothing in common. It's only been a month, but that's a record for me.

Keep going anyway? lol. I hate the idea that there's a much better match for both of us out there and that we're wasting each others' time.

There's always something to be said for any sort of relationship short or long. I hope that doesn't sound lofty or anything, but I think there's value in any kind of romance be it a week or twenty-seven million years. Unless something's really bothering you (aside from having little in common), if the conversation can keep going and you find each other attractive, I say stick with it.

If the conversation is dull or you feel like you're not being yourself for fear of scaring off the other guy, I suggest trying to find a way around that. If that doesn't work, then there may be something to this. Otherwise, I say just put your feet (legs) up and let it come as it does.

Killer last sentence sealed the deal. Yeah, gonna keep seeing what's here. :)
