I did this for Thor....never again. Taught me to never be right on time for a IMAX movie again. Always come early.
I did this for TF2 (pls shoot me) and I was literally moving my hide sideways as Optimus Prime's bullet travelled in slo-mo from one corner of the screen to the other ..

No. That was about 2/3 of the full screen size. Or maybe I'm misremembering. I don't remember Tron shooting anything in IMAX. Only in 3D.

Yes, I believe that's right. Nothing in Tron was shot in IMAX (It was my understanding that anything shot in IMAX could not be viewed in 3d anyway?).

Here's the classifieds, you sarcastic bastard.

Yeah, I had to move my head to follow the action on screen..so bad. Not to mention it was in 3D, so It was even worse.

Still not too fussed about going to a liemax.

The closest real imax is the one in London - fuck that. I'm about four hours from there, let alone the extra traffic from the olympics.

The Southampton liemax is rectangular, which sucks, but at least its 40ft tall. I guess it'll still be better than a normal cinema screen.

To be fair, it's their own damn fault for sitting there, especially when its reserved seating. I can't help but indulge in a bit of schadenfreude.

The IMAX I got to wasnt reserved sitting back then. It is now, thank god. Got a great seat for Avengers when it came out.

You should've learned that years ago. I'm never right on time for ANY big movie release. I sat in the front for Ghost Protocol and it was one of the worst experiences in recent memory. Wasn't even my fault.

IMAX theatres around me have assigned seating. It is pretty awesome. As long as you order you ticket well ahead of time, you can get there 15-20 mins early and still have a great seat.

They didn't have this in place when Deathly Hallows 2 came out, and we were stuck in like the second row of the 9pm Friday showing after arriving an hour early.

Gahh

Even if I'm out with friends and we randomly decide to see a film, we'll still load up the cinemas website on one of our phones and book seats - or as a last resort, phone them up to book. Last thing we want is to be at the front.

I come in 10 minutes late. No trailer, no ads, nothing

I'm not even sure you can do that around here. At least not for IMAX. I THINK it's first come first serve which stinks.
