I have 11 AM Friday tickets at my local fake IMAX in north NJ. No shows are sold out or anything, and it isn't exactly NYC. It is the first Friday showing. I'm thinking getting there 1 hour to 1:15 should be good enough. Sound right?

How are the fight scenes in DKR?

It's so strange that Nolan did such a bad job in the fight scenes in Batman Begins and the Dark Knight (shaky cams, yuck), considering the fight scenes in Inception are fantastic.

And apparently not just in this thread, several non-related threads.

The first one that was posted early in this thread got me but luckily I missed this last one. WTF is up with some Juniors doing this shit and making the rest of us look bad?

Guess I need to stay out until I see it Friday night...

Not commenting about you but this latest batch of juniors have had a lot of rotten eggs I thought.

My showtime is Friday @ 7pm @ Imax. Planning on getting there @ 4pm to get in line and just chill w/ my Vita and a friend (w/ his Vita too :D).

He's improved with every movie really. In Begins, you couldn't see shit, in TDK, the choreography was not staged well at all, and static. Inception was a fair improvement. Not perfect, but adequate.

Inception's fight scenes were fantastic? Aside from the cool concept of fighting in zero gravity, the fight scenes were meh.

Marketing is going up here in Denmark, I captured this photo:

It's also ramping up in Catalonia. That's in a 500 inhabitants town :P

Yeah, I'm thinking the exact same thing.

This is I think the third time I've come into the thread to find out I'd narrowly missed some spoiler-dumping account suicide.

Yikes.

Phillips review without spoilers, its labelling it as decent to good not as good as tdk in some moments, i dont know how you label it as negative

But nothing in the new film, which turns Gotham over to the masked terrorist Bane, played by an occasionally intelligible Tom Hardy, meets or exceeds the crises of “The Dark Knight,” especially that picture’s ferry-boat sequence, where Gotham’s residents found themselves in a no-win situation and somehow won anyway.

So...for people who thought the ferry-boat sequence was one of the weakest/more contrived parts of TDK, is this a good or bad thing?

Yeah, it's always funny to hear people complain about Bale overacting in The Fighter.

Yeah. You can make a case for imitation being less impressive, sure. Coming up with a character and adding the nuances to the performance is probably more impressive, but there's no denying the sheer amount of commitment and research Bale put into the role. A deserved win all in all

Pathetic stunt by the critic over the fake review. WTF do you gain out of that and doesn't it hurt his credibility ? Maybe he wanted to draw attention to his Kickstarter. I also see rabid idiots finally managed to get the comments on RT get shut down.

So...

I know it's odd, but does anyone have any quotes or references as to what Frank Miller's opinion on the Nolan films is? Just interested because of the parallels in TDKR to some of his bat-work.

So with all the RT talk I decided to check something that always bugs me about them. The average review for TDKR is actually a 8.3 versus an 8 for the Avengers and 8.4 for TDK. Somehow TDKR hasn't broken 90% though. RT is such a weird system.... I don't personally put a whole lot of stock in it, but my ex used to refuse to see things based on it a lot of times so I've spent a lot of time trying to poke holes in it to try and get her to see things (mostly comedies).
