You need to come to an NYC GAF meet up and do an autograph signing session. Apparently, you have a ton of people that would like to meet you. How's the waiter gig working out for you?

It's working out amazingly well. Been there for about a month and a half and have met a ton of people. Personally served Jackie Mason even! But yeah, I get that a lot from random strangers/customers: "Hey, you're an actor, right? You give off that energy." I guess it's a good thing. Means I'm doing something right.
But it's something I'm very proud of. Been training resiliently for two years, and am only now starting to work. Sure, it's short student films that don't pay, but hey man, I'm getting my name out there. Only began auditioning last week, but already shot two films/scenes today (lead in both), and am starring in a Sigur Ros music video next week.
All I'm concerned with is working continually, but if I ever have to give a speech for anything I promise you I will definitely give a shoutout to GAF.
And yeah, I'll definitely try to attend the next NYC meetup. I'm just so busy (audition in the daytime, work at night) that it's difficult to arrange.

That's pretty damn good. Hunter College has a lot of film students so I wouldn't be surprised if you've appeared in a few short films that I'm not aware of. I also know a few people that I went to high school with that are aspiring film directors. I suppose anything is better than nothing so long as you're building up your portfolio/resumé which you are.It's working out amazingly well. It's that face that screams actor; maybe it's because you look a bit like Milo Ventmitaglia and because another Gaffer who is an actor, OrangeGrayBlue posted similar pictures as yours. It's probably earning you some good tip in any case. Besides, you're living the typical actor Cinderella story; maybe you'll probably get discovered by a Hollywood producer next time you serve someone.
Any way, best of luck with the Batman/Bruce Wayne style double life and let us know how it goes. It's understandable that you're incredibly busy; I imagine your weekends are particularly booked juggling filming and bus boy duties back to back. You most certainly would make GAF headlines by making an appearance in any case. So if you could make it, then be prepared to get bombarded with free drinks and whatnot. Also be prepared to get coaxed into sharing a couple of good/funny acting stories.

Rally beard progress. My day of reckoning is almost here. Buzzed the hair and shaved around June 1. Haven't done anything but clean up the neck a couple of times since. Feels good, man.

That photo is, like, May. The succeeding weeks have not been good, admittedly, but I think the ageing effect is still primarily the beard.
