20 minutes till the marathon starts. Biggest screen in Colorado, so not unexpected that it is totally sold out and packed. Guy here dressed as Keaton-Batman.

Can't wait. I've really avoided talk about this. I know some of the actors in it,but some of them I don't even know who they are playing. Should be a good time.

I marathoned all three Star Wars on VHS some rainy day when I was like 8. It was an awesome way to get introduced to that.

I would say my childhood trilogy was Indiana Jones, though, but I love LOTR and love the first 2 Bat films so far.

At first I was like, oh this is a long preview for Transformers 3! I think my brain was just trying really hard to be optimistic. I was pretty happy with a full refund and free tickets though.

Star Wars is totally the first trilogy I loved as well (I'm 26). I still remember that first time, watching Empire, where Vader reveals who he really is. The first time my 10-year old self had ever experienced a plot-twist like that, I was in absolute shock.

Grew up on Bond, too. My mother is an absolute Bond-freak, she's seen every one of them more times than I can count. And now Batman can (if I like TDKR) gracefully enter that pantheon of really, really good movie series (alongside others such as the Indy trilogy and the LOTR trilogy).

Yup, looking at the trilogy as a whole, what they managed to do with a sub-genre (superheroes) and elevate it to another level doesn't feel like a feat that will be repeated for a long time.

I just don't see why the internal parts couldn't move in reverse if you make a 10 second-1 minute screw up.

I like the opposite end of the spectrum too when he's hurt in the Narrows and asks Alfred for help. Completely vulnerable and reminds you he's real under that mask. Music was great in this scene.

I don't think I've ever been to the IMAX the opening weekend for a movie this huge. Does anyone have a recommendation on when to arrive. 45 minutes-hour early is usually enough where I go, but I'm thinking I will have to be there earlier. Going Sunday night should help I'm guessing [though it is sold out]
