Its only mixed at gaf, theater was filled with comments like this is the best batman mkvie ive ever seem etc and critics love it. Remember gaf loves bb while ga and critics love tdk, tells u somethng

My audience was great. Very respectful throughout and you could hear a pin drop during all of the most intense scenes. Lots of clapping at the end and I heard lots of "that was awesome," etc. One moment got a great reaction and I did a little "yes" inside as well. It's quite the dark film in many respects and I'm sure there was a bit of relief involved in that.

I must be in the minority then, for liking TDK much MUCH more than BB.

TDK has certain individual scenes that are superior to almost anything in BB, as well as a much better villain (despite Neeson doing a nice job), but BB as a whole feels more cohesive and coherent. Flows a lot more smoothly from beginning to end, and the origin sections are fairly awesome.

I rewatched every Batman movie released on DVD over this past month in preparation for this moment. I saw TDK two times this week (two sets of friends).

Great ending to a great trilogy and hopefully not the end of a franchise.

I felt like it tried to do too much while I was watching it, but it came together nicely at the end.

Heading off to London in a bit with some friends for one of their birthdays. Getting the 11:45am showing. Can't wait. Took the day off work for this purpose.

Got back from the marathon. Begins and TDK were waaaaaaay better then Rises. It's probably just late but man what a bloated movie and Bane's voice was freaking annoying at points.

Some decent fun but I feel the movie didn't offer up anything particularly special. Actually, scratch that, the fight scenes were better and a lot more brutal but it seemed like there was a lot less action then the other two.

Fuck me I thought the exact same thing too when I watching it yesterday before TDKR! It felt like she was just his trophy wife, nothing more...especially in that train scene where he talked about choosing to focus on the work at the hospital. Hahaha poor Martha, at least you strung together a couple sentences before your untimely death.

I've always wondered this too. What the fuck, Nolan?

19 Hours and 4 Minutes.

You didnt see the movie if you think THAT

People on GAF are saying its more than disappointing and i cant believe
i can cause its gaf

I thought it was wonderful and the crowd gave the applause.

Actually GAF is the place where I would expect over-praise for this film considering how loved Nolan is around here.

Exactly.

It's going to come down to whether people walk in wanting a Batman Begins type movie or Dark Knight type movie. And that's going to divide up the opinions.

Holy crap DON'T. Don't set yourself any expectations within those lines and you'll walk away from the theater feeling more pleased than you would've otherwise. Unlike a lot other movie trilogies, Nolan's batman movies are not only cohesive but each film is self-contained and have unique narrative styles, so expect this one to be just as different.

For the sake of balance, some reactions from a music forum I frequent:

"I just want to see this again right now. Holy fuck was it a great ending."

"Great movie. Was absolutely fantastic."

"As expected, an awesome film... can't stop thinking about it. I love the entire trilogy, so I'm not going to go ahead and rank each film... really want to see this again, all awesome movies require repeat viewings."

"Wow. Just. Wow."

"Incredible."

"Holy shit balls."

"Holy fuck."

"I had so many chills throughout the movie and cried for the first time in a long time at a movie. Incredible."

"Movie ruled."

I'm not. But that's why some will come out disappointed. They can't view the movie as its own thing without comparing it to the prequels that came before it.

Which I love about these movies. Each film is a different genre. BB is an adventure film, TDK is a crime drama, TDKR is a war movie.

Here's what it is: it's a great closure. The best way to end the trilogy. This is Nolan giving it everything it can.

If I had to explain it without spoiling it, i would say that this is "Arkham City" to "Arkham Asylum": both are amazing games but there is so much in Arkham City that you need to take a step back to absorb it.

This is a movie that requires a second viewing. There wasn't a single applause during the whole movie and the awe factor was tremendous.

Absorb it, embrace it. As someone said, it's a mix of BB and TDK. There are really great moments in it; moments bigger than BB and TDK. It's really a movie on its own and can't be compared to any of the two.

With that said, it's a long movie that feels really really short. Though it's done and not possible anymore, stretching it into two movies would've been ideal. It spends a lot of time explaining and spoon feeding certain things that could've been avoided, but you can't blame them as people who dont read comics barely know the characters.

A lot of instances are abrupt and just happens and time shifts. There is, however, not a single dull moment and that made me very attentive. No snoozefest moments either. Everything is bam, bam, bam.

It's hard to explain until you see it yourself. Good night all; I'm fucking exhausted and have work in 3 hrs! I did my best to avoid spoilers!! D:

In short: I'm seeing it again on Saturday!

I agree. Depending on what you want out of your films, there's a case for any of the films to be your favourite. And IMO there's no obviously "bad" film. They do all have flaws but that doesn't stop them being great.

Sis said it was a great conclusion, which I think most people seem to agree on at least. She liked it better than BB/TDK. This is coming from a person who's pretty cynical about a lot of movies. In terms of Hardy, Hathaway, and JGL's acting: Good, decent, and good.

DESHI DESHI BASHARA BASHARA! WOO!

TODAY'S THE DAY!

Later anyways.

RISE

Just got back.

Initial impression: It met my expectations. That is, not as good as Dark Knight, but still great. It was definitely great.

Also, I had two assholes beside me (possibly high) that laughed every time Bane said something in the movie. Every. Fucking. Time. They also smelled like shit.

I'll probably watch again in Imax. That should be good.

See you all in the spoiler thread.

btw... Avengers>>>>>>>>>>>>>>TDKR

Short version: good but very messy. I have a few severe issues with it, but it is still good overall. Definitely the weakest of the three.

But Bale was MUCH better in this than he was in Dark Knight.

So more like Batman Begins?

Edit: Now others saying it has the most action. What a mind fuck lol.
I guess you could say there is more action when action takes place but the large set pieces felt very weak. There is some great fisticuffs stuff going on, the best the series has had really but everything else around that fell flat for me.

So much Batman....was there from 6 until 3 in the morning.
