I thought she'd end up being Talia, but I will say I was surprised that it was her who was the child. I though they were gonna make Bain her brother, which seemed cheesy.
"Theatricality and deception are powerful agents for the uninitiated. But we are initiated, aren't we, Bruce?"
I'll write a review-ish kind of thing later. I just really liked that quote and felt like posting it.
I loved that and the smoke things Batman threw at Bane beforehand. Really sold how desperate Batman was at this point.Fuck. Some of Bane's lines were amazing. So amazing.

How early was this script being worked on? I have to believe Scarecrow as the judge was intended for Joker...
Yeah, this was my experience as well. Although I was hoping she wouldn't be for awhile there, before it became too obvious what was happening.I saw the photo's and was still iffy, even in her interviews she "said" she was not going to be that character at all (and I for one, believed it)
She gave herself up in the film when she volunteered to be the board member to press her hand or whatever. I didn't see any hints before that, I was looking quite carefully too

Talia took this a bit...literally.We are back to finish the job. And this time no misguided idealists will get in the way. Like your father you lack the courage to do all that is necessary. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them... and stab them in the heart

Didn't they start writing it after Heath died?
The Joker would have almost certainly been a major player if Heath was still around. It's hard to imagine them telling this story if that were the case.
i feel like they should've mentioned him. even to say he died in prison or something
TDK had alot of those too.
Btw, I noticed there are so many tv actors starred in this movie--Teal'c, that guy from Blue Blood, Bellick etc.
Batman showing up EMPing stuff then blowing the cops hat off depleted Batman's badass budget for some time.Just got back. Tired as fuck but here are my current thoughts:
-I LOVED how murky and quiet the beginning was. It's one of those rare sequels that actually feels like a sequel, rather than a plug-and-play remake of the previous movie with different characters.
-The scene between Alfred and Bruce was crushing. Bale looked Machinist-levels of gaunt, and the whole thing felt really pathetic. Loved it.
-In fact, I'm surprised at how little action/Batman-ing there really was. A lot of people I spoke to after the movie hated it. You have to admit, it's sorta gutsy for a supposed blockbuster superhero flick to have so little popcorn shit.
-Nolan has finally learned to direct action scenes, somewhat. Not perfect, but punches connect in the same shot they're thrown! I about creamed myself during that tracking shot of JGL running into the hospital with the Mossberg shotgun, too. Awesome.
-I understand thematically why they did it, but the batsuit should never be filmed in daylight. It looked goofy as fuck. Likewise, Bane's voice was incredible 90% of the time - but christ, that opening scene. He sounded like Deckard Cain. What was the deal there?
-Talia twist was dumb and eye-rolly. Oh, a literal backstab. Oh, a literal twist of the knife. Great.
I really liked it. It wasn't at all what I expected.
From what I can see, I believe that Crane's role is a perfect fit for Joker. Nolan out of the respect said he will not mention any sign of him.
I guess it's fun to assume that Joker is in Arkham Asylum chilling with Harlee Quinzel while the criminals are at Blackwater.
i'd feel bad if i was that girl haha. her role was basically to be mistaken for a boy
Bane said a lot of cool shit when he was talking to Bruce.
well i understand why he didn't mention the joker. but it felt so...odd. like all that happened was Batman supposedly went berserk and Harvey Dent died.

It would've been fun seeing the back of a guy with similar hair as Heath shown leaving the prison into the unknown. They could've used Heath's stunt double.
I loved the sequence where batman comes back (The first time), the EMP of all the lights in the tunnel and the place going dark as he flies past in the darkness.

Same.
The music kicked in the right time when he returned.

Same,I had chills run up my body when that music hit.

That kinda annoyed to no end
Why the fuck is that dumbass Quinn from Dexter in the movie?
batsuit looked weird as hell wet
Meh was on level with TDK imo. NY was a much better city, but too recognisable.TDKR's Gotham is the worst Gotham out of the three. It's obvious it's NYC most of the time.
Gotta love the insane shit people pass around.
Like how would that ever come out of a Nolan film?
That shot of Bane hammering his fist on Batman's head against the floor was incredible. The fight choreography in this was miles above anything in BB and TDK.
